CHAPTER1:Dreams
Ivypool looked around, confused, as the screeching cats continued to battle. She realized with a jolt that she was in the great battle. Hawkfrost appeared in front of her. "I thought I could trust you, and you betrayed me!" he yowled. In a barely audible voice he whispered "I thought there was more to our relationship.". Fury lit his gaze as he went in for the killing blow. Moments before it hit regret pierced through his rage and lit his eyes. Ivypool's vision darkened until she could only see Hawkfrost's ice blue eyes. Even those, eventually faded into the blackness.
Ivypool woke in a clearing. On one side of the clearing was a sunlit forest with the scent of rich hunting. The other side had a gloomy forest that smelled of decay. Suddenly a cat hared from the gloomy forest toward the prey-rich one. The cat suddenly bounded away, as if there were invisible brambles blocking it. The cat then kept ramming itself, desperately, against the barrier. Cats emerged from the sunlight forest with stars glistening in their pelts, Starclan Ivypool guessed. As they approached, their pelts started bristling. They chased the cat back into the gloomy forest with no words said. The cat suddenly veered off and was heading straight for her. Ivypool recognized the cat as Hawkfrost. She tried to move but her paws were rooted to the ground. Heartbeats before he hit her Ivypool's vision went black. The fading voice of Hawkfrost echoed in her ear. "You must help me, I cannot stay this way forever, I may fade away to nothing soon." His voice softened until she couldn't Make out his words.
Ivypool woke in her nest with a relief. It was only a dream, thank Starclan! Ivypool froze Then why does it feel so real?
She shook out her pelt, hopped out of her nest, and padded into the forest. She scanned the trees, she was searching, searching for awnsers.
