A/N: So sorry about the wait. I will try to make this chapter longer than the first. This story is set right after the war with Gaea, and one year after "Worlds Collide". Nico is fifteen and everyone else is seventeen.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters or settings, those go to Rick Riordan and Chris Colfer.

As soon as Reyna saw the it, she knew that it wasn't an ordinary book. For one thing, it was lying in the middle of the woods. For another, it was glowing! Just as she was about to open it, two kids around Reyna's age, one girl and one boy (who looked almost identical), appeared on the path. And she meant appeared appeared. As in one second they weren't there, and the next there was a shower of glitter, and two teens were standing there. Reyna pulled Nico behind a tree, still holding the book.

"I don't get it," said the girl, confusion in her light blue eyes. "We left the book right here!"

"Maybe it was taken by evil hamburgers!" the boy suggested. "Ooh I might have to write a story about that!"

The girl sighed. "Conner, this not the time for jokes!" she scolded him. "If that book falls in the wrong hands-"

"Like the hands of the evil hamburgers"

"-it could put the entire fairy tale world in danger!" she told the boy, who's name was apparently Conner.

Reyna stepped out from behind the tree, making both kids jump.

"Excuse me, but is this the book you're looking for?" she asked.

The boy yelled something about evil hamburgers, and tried to run away. The girl grabbed him and said, "Yes it is!"

"What's the fairy tale world?" Nico earned himself a smack on the arm from Reyna.

"Why are you carrying swords?" Conner said. It was now his turn to get slapped. Nico and Reyna were surprised that the strange pair could see through the mist.

Alex decided that it was best that they introduced themselves. "I'm Alex Bailey, and this is my twin brother-"

"-Conner!" the boy finished. "Also known as Master Connermoondo!"

"Conner, we don't want to know you're titles!" Alex exclaimed, before turning to the demigods. "What are your names?"

"I'm Reyna, and this is Nico," she told them.

"But why do you have swords?" Conner repeated.

"You're not supposed to see the swords," Reyna explained. "As a matter of fact, you're not even supposed to be able to get into Camp."

"What's 'Camp', and why aren't we supposed to see your swords?" Alex said, perplexed.

"Have you ever heard of the Mist?" Nico put in.

"I have," Alex said, "but what does that have to do with anything?"

"Well I haven't," said Conner, "so could you please explain!"

Alex sighed. "It's a concept from Greek and Roman mythology. It's supposed to hide supernatural activity from regular humans, but even if the gods were real, they would have died along with the fall of Ancient Greece and Rome."

"Not how I would have said it," Reyna laughed, hoping that this girl never met Annabeth, "but yes, that's what the Mist is. However, the gods are real, and yes, they're still alive."

"That still doesn't explain why you have swords," complained Conner.

"I'm getting there," Reyna sighed. "You know how, in the stories, the gods ran around having children with mortals?"

"Yes," Alex answered, while Conner, looking very confused, replied with a no.

Reyna chose to ignore him. "Well Nico and I are children of those gods. I'm Roman and he's Greek."

"Wait, let me try to guess who your parents are," Alex interrupted.

"All right," Reyna agreed.

"I'm assuming that Nico is a son of Hades." Alex correctly guessed.

Both demigods nodded. "And me?" asked Reyna

"Hmm. I'm assuming it's a war god or goddess."

"Goddess," Reyna hinted.

"I'm going to guess Bellona." Alex decided. Reyna nodded again, surprised that the girl had guessed correctly.

"Now you explain what the Hades 'the fairy tale world is'," Nico said.

"Well, all the fairy tale characters are real," Conner told them.

"Sure, why not," Reyna grumbled.

"And they live in the fairy tale world, or the land of stories," Alex explained.

"Which we've had to save countless times," said Conner.

"We've definitely been in more dangerous situations than you," Nico commented unhelpfully.

"Oh yeah," Conner challenged.

"Let's compare stories!" said Nico.
