Seraphina Slytherin considered herself very normal. In fact, everyone around her considered her normal as well. She lived a normal life, in a normal home, with a normal family, in a normal town, in a normal world. But what they didn't know, was that she wasn't normal. Rather, she was quite abnormal. Seraphina wasn't just any abnormal child, she was a magical child. She had been waiting to go to Hogwarts all her life. But there was one more thing that no one knew. Seraphina was friends with one Emily Smith.

Emily Smith was considered a normal girl, too. However, she was still the black sheep of the Muggles. She did certainly unordinary things at times, and was quite peculiar. But Emily Smith was also waiting to go to Hogwarts. She was waiting for her chance to join the Wizarding World. She had friends from the Wizarding World, and she was determined to earn a good spot there. In her opinion, the Muggle World was a little plain compared to what she had heard about the Wizarding World.

On the other hand, Seraphina wished she could be a mundane muggle with no dealings in the Wizarding World whatsoever. Through her eyes, the Wizarding World held so many faults, and she couldn't do a thing about them. The Muggle World was very simple, and she was already well disguised as just another girl.

Emily herself knew another girl who was a witch. Hermione Granger. Hermione was top of her class in all subjects, and actually quite the know-it-all. She had no idea she was a witch, just that sometimes, she would do things - things the average human can't. That is, until she got her letter. Now, Emily and Seraphina were not best friends since diapers, no, they didn't start off that way. They started off as girls who only knew each other for the benefit of both.

However, as time passed, the girls grew, and they slowly started to care for each other. This is a peculiar story of two girls, who both hated each other, yet couldn't live without her opposite. Both had wishes and ambitions, but neither knew what the other wished for. Each to her own, but both to the serpents.

These foils were the same, yet not. In fact, they had more similarities than you'd think. Both knew one Harry Potter, and his lot, and his children, and his legacy. The girls were often mistaken for sisters, and yet, others thought they were rivals. Of course, they didn't really know each other. In fact, they were strangers.

That is, until one day.
