"Helga." Godric yells. He could feel the ragged breaths of Kass and felt terror settling in his bones. Most adults didn't survive an attempted possession. "She collapsed."
"She is just tired. If she rests, she will be fine" Helga assures.
Relieved, Godric nodded, picking Kass up, before looking down at the girl in his arms. She was beautiful. More beautiful than Rowena, if he could say so. Inky black hair, falling to her waist. Bright emerald green eyes, with long, thick lashes. Slim and petite, she barely reached his chest. Feeling someone glare at him, he sighed and looked to the man Kass called Sirius.
"Why are you holding my goddaughter?" Sirius asks, suspicious.
"She is my mate." Godric replies steadily.
"Ours" Salazar interjects.
"Ours" Godric corrects.
Sirius was stunned in silence.
"Mate? What does that mean?" Harry asks, eyebrow raised.
"It means that your sister is our soulmate. Our other half, if you will." Salazar answers.
But before anyone can say more, Sirius growled and launched himself at Salazar, punching him. Remus and Kingsley were quick to try and restrain him, but Sirius wouldn't have any of it. He was furious. Who did they think they were, claiming his fawn as theirs? With a shock, he realized that he didn't know who they were.
"Pup" he called "Who are they?"
"Uhm... They are the Founders. Of Hogwarts." He answers, willing his voice to not shake. He didn't understand the situation in its entirety, but he knew that Professor Gryffindor and Professor Slytherin would ever hurt his sister.
"The Founders? Of Hogwarts? Pup, did you hit your head?" Sirius asks, concern in his voice.
"The Founders died a millennia ago, Harry" Remus informs softly.
"I'm not crazy. It's the truth! A spell hit the time-turners, and we" Harry points to himself, Ron and Hermione "went to the past! They took us in, taught us and found a way to bring us home! I swear, this is the truth. And Professor Slytherin don't hate Muggle Borns. He is not a blood supremacist. And he isn't the ancestor of Voldemort either!" Harry finishes, breathing hard from his rant.
Minutes passed and no one said anything.
"Congratulations, brother. I think you broke them." Kass jokes. "Really, Padfoot, has I known that this was what it takes to shut you up, I would find a way do it sooner."
Suddenly, all hell breaks loose. Everyone starts speaking. Murmurs of 'impossible' and 'liar' and 'crazy' were thrown around, until Dumbledore had enough.
"Silence" he yelled "Cornelius, I'm afraid I must insist in taking our young heroes home. They must be seen by a Healer."
"Of course." Fudge pauses "But I'm afraid that a I must take those imposters into custody."
"They are not imposters" Harry burst out, impatiently.
"Now, now, Mr. Potter. You had a very tiring day..."
"Minister, my apologies for interrupting" Kass smiles sweetly "but why don't you have them Vow on their Magic?"
"Yes, that is an excellent idea." The Minister agrees. He turns to the Founders "Vow on your Magic that you are who you say you are and that aren't You-Know-Who supporters." He demands.
"I, Helga Hufflepuff, Vow on my Magic that I am who I say I am and that I am not a supporter of the self-called Lord Voldemort."
"I, Rowena Ravenclaw, Vow on my Magic that I am who I say I am and that I am not a supporter of the self-called Lord Voldemort."
"I, Helena Ravenclaw, Vow on my Magic that I am who I say I am and that I am not a supporter of the self-called Lord Voldemort."
"I, Salazar Slytherin, Vow on my Magic that I am who I say I am and that I am not a supporter of the self-called Lord Voldemort."
After Salazar stopped talking, the crowd let gasps and again murmuring reached Kass ears.
"Godric, give me Kass. You still have to Vow." Salazar states.
"I can stand, thank you very much" Kass insist, trying to escape Godric hold. She felt the hold tighten almost painfully but then Godric sighs and let her down.
"Thank you." Kass smiles.
"I, Godric Gryffindor, Vow on my Magic that I am who I say I am and that I am not a supporter of the self-called Lord Voldemort." As soon as the Vow was over, Kass was swept off her feet and found herself, once again, in Godric' arms.
"Why can't I walk?" Kass asks, grinding her teeth.
"You just survived an attempted possession" Salazar explains softly.
"And so did Harry! And he is not being coddled!" Kass snaps "I know I am your mate but treating me like a child will not make me like you! I get it that you have instincts but try to fight them!"
"Will you stay by our side?" Salazar confirms. When Kass nods he turns to Godric "Put her down, Godric. She is right. If we treat her like a child, she will start to hate us."
For a moment it seemed like Godric was not going to put Kass down, but then he sighed and oh so carefully, he put her down, though his hand stayed on the small of her back, possessively and protectively.
"Thank you" Kass looked up, a beautiful smile on her face. She turned to Dumbledore "Headmaster, does this mean you are going to come back to Hogwarts?"
"That decision, dear girl, rests with the Minister and with our young Founders." Dumbledore says his eyes twinkling.
"Yes, about that..." The Minister starts nervously "I think it for the best if you resume your post as Hogwarts Headmaster."
"I think our priority should be in taking the students to the infirmary to have them checked properly." Helga affirms sternly.
"Of course, please feel free to use the Floo." Fudge offers, rubbing his hands together.
"The address is Hogwarts Infirmary." Dumbledore informs.
Neville, Luna and Ginny were the first to go. One by one, she saw them disappear in the flames.
"Is that save?" Helena asks, a concerned frown on her face.
"Well, there a possibility of ending in another place, if you get out on the wrong fireplace but it's rare. Oh, and there is a very real chance of stumbling." Kass states softly, starting to walk towards the fireplace.
"Where are you going?" Salazar challenged.
"Going to Hogwarts."
"You are not going to use that thing, especially when there is another possibility" Salazar sniffed. "We are going to Apparate there."
"Is that possible?" Kass asks.
"When you are connected to the Wards, yes." Rowena answers.
"What kind of Wards are around Hogwarts?" Kass kooks to Rowena, curiosity shining in her eyes.
"Well, on our time, there were Wards against Apparition, Dark Creatures. There were Wards with interpretive elements and..."
"While this is a pleasant conversation, I think we must be going" Salazar interrupts "My lady?" He asks Kass, hand outstretched.
"Of course, my lord" Kass simpered back. The moment her hand was in his he pulls her against his chest, both arms around her stomach.
"Close your eyes" he murmurs into her ear.
Kass does as he says and the next thing she knows she was pressed very hard from all directions; she could not breathe, there were iron bands tightening around her chest; her eyeballs were being forced back into her head; her ear-drums were being pushed deeper into her skull. Suddenly it was over and Kass was glad of the arms around her for she didn't know whether she could have stand unaided.
"You may open your eyes" Salazar speaks softly.
She does so, finding that everyone else was already at the infirmary.
"That" Kass starts "was awful. Is Apparition always this bad?"
"It gets better."
"I don't think getting worse is possible" Kass complains.
"Perhaps that will teach you next time you decide to do something foolish, Miss Potter!" A strict voice is heard.
"Madam Pomfrey" Kass smiles.
"What happened this time?" Madam Pomfrey asks, resigned.
"Nothing much, such a little fighting."
"You describe being possessed as a little fighting?" Godric grins, but the concern was in his eyes all the same.
"A little fighting or a lot of fighting, it doesn't matter. Fighting is fighting." Madam Pomfrey interrupts. "To your bed, Miss Potter. You too, Mr. Potter."
"Yes, Madam Pomfrey." They chorused.
Kass starts walking towards her bed, being followed by Godric and Salazar. Sitting in the edge of the bed, she takes off her sneakers, letting them fall to the ground, before sitting in the middle of the bed, crossing her legs. Sighing, she waits patiently her turn. Luna was unharmed, but Ginny had a broken ankle and Neville a broken nose, though both were healed in a couple of minutes. Looking indecisive Madam Pomfrey choo'ed from the Infirmary. Simple diagnostic spells deemed Hermione and Ron without injuries though this time Madam Pomfrey didn't even tried to send them away. Nervously, Kass watched as Harry was examined. The prognostic was very good, a slight drained core.
"A good night rest and some food and you will be right as rain" Madam Pomfrey announces. "Now, Miss Potter, I suspect that you will be the same, but is better to check."
Flicking her wand in sharp movements, Madam Pomfrey hummed.
"You core is more drained than I would like, but as usual you are already healing. And at an impressive rate." Madam Pomfrey informs. "Now, my dear, you were Marked, isn't that correct? I will need to check on those bites."
Nodding, Kass rolls the sleeve of her blouse up, showing her left wrist to Madam Pomfrey. Her watchful eyes narrowed on the bite mark, before focus on her neck.
"The other one, please" She demands.
Having no necessity of opening her blouse - Godric had already done it - she tilts her head left. She fists her hand, feeling exposed and not liking it.
"I advise to consummate that Bonds as soon as possible or there is the very real chance of you magic going haywire." Madam Pomfrey tone was serious.
"Consummate? Those bastards are not going near her!" Sirius explodes. "Especially with that kind of intentions!"
"What do you suggest I do then, Padfoot? If I fail to consummate the bond, my magic will go haywire! And both of us know how dangerous that can be! I am not happy with the situation, but I will not let my magic go out of control." Kass snaps
"But..."
"We will go at her pace." Salazar states.
"We will not hurt her. Not now, not never. And those who tried, they will suffer. This I swear." Godric vows, looking directly at Sirius.
Kass smirks. Sirius' murderous expression faltered a little, but he quickly gathered himself up. Kass exchanged a smile with her brother. Both knew that Sirius was impressed. It didn't matter that he would never acknowledge it, but it didn't change the fact that he might start, if not liking, at least respect them. Kass went to open her mouth, only to Madam Pomfrey to appear and kick Sirius and Remus out of the infirmary. Smiling, Kass remembers the day she found her godfather was innocent. She shuddered, thinking in what could have happened if Pettigrew had managed to escape. Shaking her head, she will those thoughts away.
Suddenly multiple cracks were heard and Kass looked to see four house-elves with trays of porridge. Kass stifled a groan; she wasn't a fan of porridge.
"Thank you, Bopsy." She smiled down at the elf that put a bowl on her lap.
"Be Bopsy pleasure, missy." The small elf squealed, popping away.
Reluctantly, Kass starts eating until a chuckle meets her ears. Raising an eyebrow, she looks to Godric.
"Something wrong?" She asks.
"You were looking at the food like it was going to kill you, my lady." Godric grins.
Kass tries and fail to hide her laughter. She still hadn't come to terms with the whole mate's thing. After losing Cedric she vowed to herself to never let anyone became that close to her again. Her brother was enough, she assured herself. But here she was, having not one, but two man who were her mates. Suddenly it hit her. If she was their mate, that mean they were creatures. Curiosity rose in her. What type of creature were they? Sighing, she ate another spoonful of porridge and grimaced. She really didn't like porridge.
