Hi everyone, my name is Steven Universe. I'm a member of the Crystal Gems, a group of heroes who help defend the Earth from danger. It's been a rough couple of weeks but it all starts when we met a Gem named Peridot who came here to check on a Gem weapon hidden in the center of the Earth called the Cluster. Well, after stopping her from coming here a few times she came here with two more Gems, Jasper and a friend of mine named Lapis.
Oh with them was a human we've started to call Connie.
Anyways, after a few fights Peridot told us about the Cluster and we started working together to find a way to stop it from hatching and destroying the world. Along the way we met Dee-Dee who is the granddaughter of the owner of DexLabs, a big science company that helped build the drill for us and we're almost ready to dig to the center of the Earth to find and stop the Cluster.

When Crom Cruach made his presence known to the world most heroes and hunters were defending their homes along with any small villages that were calling for help but not everyone answered the call. While GrimmFall was being defended by the Justice Friends where were the Crystal Gems?
Who are the Crystal Gems?
A band of warriors from another planet that has been living in secret on this planet for the last five thousand years, created for the purpose of rebelling against their own home world and the empire that it ruled.
A fusion of two Gems seen as abomination.
A former servant who fought for freedom.
A builder who decided she'd rather be a fighter.
And the one leading them all was Rose Quartz, a soldier class Gem born right here on Earth. She was the one who inspired Gems to be more than what they were made to be. She first plead to her leader, Pink Diamond to halt the colonization of Earth but Pink Diamond refused and thus the war, historically known as the Rebellion began.
At first the war seemed to slow the colonization down but while the Crystal Gems were brave and strong they were outnumbered.
When she saw her colony falling apart, like a coward Pink Diamond called out to her fellow Diamonds: Blue and Yellow.
The war grew as the armies clashed but it wasn't even the beginning. Other forces appeared, sparking conflicts not just on Earth but across the cosmos. It was if a match had been lit and in a room full of dynamite as the battle waged on.
Grimm.
Cybertronians.
Racing Drones.
Even the inhabitants of Earth fought and soon enough what used to be a mere rebellion soon turned into an all-out war. Eventually it ended with Rose Quartz shattering Pink Diamond, supposedly ending the Gem occupation of Earth…
But at a terrible price.
The Diamonds were furious with the loss of their sister and exacted their revenge in a single blast meant to destroy every single Gem on the planet. When it was done, only a handful was left to pick up the pieces and have continued hiding on Earth for the last five thousand years. Hiding from the rest of the world while dealing with the Gems that were corrupted by the Diamond attack the Crystal Gems believed the Earth was safe.
They were wrong.

"The drill's already completed?!"
The twin shouts came from two female entities standing in the office of the Fergle O'Reilly. The two in question came from the two who actually thought they would be supervising the drill's completion. Pearl had a slender, thin build, ivory skin, sky-blue eyes, a pointed nose, and thin lips. Her hair had a peach color and resembles a pixie-cut in the front, while in the back, her hair leads to a point.
Pearl's gemstone was located in the middle of her forehead and has no facets. She wore an aqua blue tunic with a small yellow star on the center of her chest and a lighter satin sash ribbon around her upper waist. Her leggings were amber-colored. She also wore pink socks with pale blue slip-on ballet flats. The other one, Peridot on the other hand was a Gem with lime-green skin and pale chartreuse yellow hair styled into a tetrahedron shape.
She wore a sleeveless green V-neck uniform. Her suit was mostly medium green, with a dark-green diamond outline around the cut-out of her neck area, meeting to form the Yellow Diamond insignia at her solar plexus, with a dark-green portion between her chest and leggings. Her arms and legs were covered in matching green armor with floating metallic fingers.
"The whole time the drill was done?" Pearl asked bewildered.
"Of course. The Cluster is a danger to us all, is it not?" Fergle O'Reilly asked rhetorically. "We didn't have time to waste on deciding who would be in charge. The project was authorized as soon as I was informed."
Fergle O'Reilly was a short man, just a little taller than his nephew Dexter, and had curly red hair and black eyes. He wore a formal white shirt and tie with a green jacket, pants, shoes and hat. His overall appearance made him resemble a leprechaun (which he may actually be considering his unique magical abilities
"Really? That's great!" The youngest member of the Crystal Gems exclaimed happily.
The son of their former leader, Steven Universe.
Steven was a fourteen year old boy, relatively short with a thick, stocky build. He has curly dark brown hair, dark brown eyebrows and full black irises which can sometimes have stars as pupils when he gets excited or optimistic. He wore a salmon-pink T-shirt with a gold star in the center of it. He also wore cuffed blue jeans and salmon-pink flip-flop sandals. His gemstone, a rose quartz he inherited from his mother was located where his navel should be.
"Indeed it is." Fergle nodded. "Despite the mishaps with that Master Computer craziness we've got the drill prepared."
"Then all we need to do now is locate the Cluster." Garnet spoke next.
Garnet had medium, maroon-colored skin, and black hair styled into a cube-shaped afro. She wore triangular futuristic, translucent orange-tinted shades, which covered all three of her eyes. She wore a black and crimson bodysuit, with cubic shoulder pads, the right one being magenta, the left one being crimson, and a pink star with a magenta outline on her chest. She also wore long, elbow-length black gloves that covered her middle fingers.
"Y-Yes!" Peridot composed herself. "We'll need the coordinates to the Cluster but that can only be found in Diamond Moon Base where all operations on the Earth were monitored and cataloged."
"Don't we already know where it is?" Steven asked.
"We don't know how far it is buried down." The other human of the group, CO-N1Y but was better known as Connie replied.
Connie was a dark skinned human with long black hair that was braided and fell down her back. She wore a navy blue top, a blue shawl with a darker blue collar-like pattern and a blue diamond symbol, a royal blue skirt, white gloves and white high-heeled jackboots that went up to her thighs with blue jewel earrings.
"Then it's a good thing we are prepared for that as well." Fergle said, standing up from his chair. "Follow me."
The curious Gems and their human charges followed Fergle through the corridors of DexLabs, going down to the sub-basement where the doors opened to reveal…
"A rocket ship!" Steven's eyes went wide with literal stars.
"Indeed it is laddy." Fergle chuckled.
It was a space shuttle, attached to three rockets that would propel the shuttle up through the Earth's atmosphere.
"This project was authorized along with the drill." Fergle said, leading them to mission control. "We've been working on preparing for space flight for quite some time. Our business partners such as Clovis Bray, Xanatos Industries, Fulbright Corporation and the Vist Foundation all pitched in to help with this. The first crew was intended to be drones to test the shuttle in case of an accident but given the circumstances I am sure you understand why we have no time for a test."
"Sweet." The final member of the Crystal Gems and the overall group, Amethyst grinned.
Amethyst has a somewhat stout build common to Quartz Gems and is shorter than most of the group. Her skin was bright lilac, her eyes were dark indigo, and her thick, messy hair was pale lavender and went down to her ankles, with a large bang that obscured her left eye. She also had plump lips, and a small, upturned nose. Her gemstone was located on her chest, and the bottom half of it was usually covered by her shirt.
She wore a black tank top with two small slots on each side towards the bottom, and her leggings were mauve with black stars on the knees. To finish off the look she wore white boots.
"I could have used something like this when I was building my own rocket ship." Pearl muttered, physically flinching at the memory of her own ship exploded and nearly killing herself along with Steven.
Fergle's tablet suddenly beeped and he quickly answered, frowning when he read the contents. "Change of plan. We have to reschedule launching to the moon."
"What?!" Nearly the entire group exclaimed, except for Garnet.
"The city's been put on lockdown with the order for all civilians to make their way to the shelters. Apparently there's some kind of attack in progress and the mayor wants only those with official hunter or law enforcement ID to be out there answering the problem." Fergle explained. "You'll have to find some other way to the moon if you cannot wait."
"What's going on?" Steven asked.
"Some sort of threat with an island appearing off the coast. It's classified Omega." Fergle answered, clapping his hands. "Attention everyone!" He called out, earning the staff's attention. "An Omega Class threat has been announced near the city. As of now DexLabs is on lockdown."
The staff started whispering in concern to each other.
"Now, now, calm down. Remember we have the Justice Friends and GrimmFall is a literal haven for hunters. It's been built with problems like this in mind so I urge you all to remain calm. There is a plenty, water and DexLabs was designed with plenty of room and shelter for everyone." Fergle continued, raising his hands to placate everyone. "You can call you family and friends from here, tell them what is going on, make sure they are being moved to the shelters as well. Just remember that you cannot leave until the alert is over. I am sure it will end soon but I ask patience from all of you until it is. Thank you for listening."
Fergle turned and quickly left the room, quickly followed by the Crystal Gems and their Homeworld counterparts.
"Excuse me but what is the emergency?" Steven quickly asked. "Can I call my dad? We left him and Lapis at the Bravo home."
Deciding that the Hall of Heroes was too important place for him to hang out at Greg Universe opted to stay with Bunny Bravo for the time being. His van was simply parked in front of her garage and Greg volunteered to look after the now human Lapis Lazuli who was still getting used to her new form. Bunny Bravo had no problems looking after them and even agreed to help look after Lapis and help her out in getting used to being human.
"Like I said, boyo, it's an Omega threat meaning it's serious. Right now all you must know is that mayor has ordered for all civilians to find emergency shelters. If your dad is smart he will head for the shelter." Fergle stated.
"He's living with Miss Bravo. A Huntress." Steven quickly said.
"Well then he might be hold up in her house for some time." Fergle walked into his office. "You have to wait here as well. Crystal Gem, boyo you are still a minor and I can't let you out wandering the streets with some unknown threat out there."
"We understand." Garnet placed a hand on Steven's shoulder. "Of course he can still call his father."
"Of course." Fergle replied as he sat down. "There's no ban on communications despite the alert."
"Thanks." Steven pulled out his tablet to call his dad.

"All right, just remain calm."
Bunny Bravo liked to hide any gray hair by tying her hair in a handkerchief, and wore black light blue shoes while also wearing a purple jacket and pink pants. When on Huntress duty she looked to wear a track suit that was suited for jogging rather than fighting but it was obvious she kept herself in shape despite the hard work of being a Huntress and being a single mother to boot. Bunny Bravo ran a strict household, making sure everyone was welcome but expected them to pitch in making sure her house was relatively clean and pleasant to look at. She had a feeling her guests, Greg Universe and Lapis Lazuli were usually guests in someone's home which was fine.
They just needed to remember the pecking order in the Bravo House which started with Bunny Bravo, followed by:
Bunny's vacuum.
Bunny's make up kit.
Bunny's shampoo and conditioner.
Bunny's favorite chair and stool.
Her son Johnny.
And then the guests after they paid rent.
That's the pecking order of the Bravo house and anyone who dared forget would pay dearly.
It was easy to see that Greg Universe took it 'easy' in how he lived which was in a van. The man obviously was much in the way personal hygiene either from his sunburnt skin, the long hair and beard and the smell coming off of him.
He could at least remember to buy some deodorant!
The poor dear, Lapis on the other hand was a different kind of mess.
She used to be an alien and was now a human and had to get used to all the benefits and problems that came with it.
Problem number one: learning to use the bathroom.
That was mentally scarring to the poor girl who never had to do something like that as an alien or Gem as she called herself.
She was lost, scared, confused and really needed help.
As a mother and a Huntress Bunny Bravo took it upon herself to look after the young Lapis and help coach her through the ordeal she was having, especially in the wake of an Omega alert being declared in GrimmFall of all places.
"What is going on?" The now human Lapis asked, sitting up from the table.
Bunny calmly placed her hands on the former Gem's shoulder, leading her to the basement. "I am sure whatever trouble there is the authorities can handle it, dear. Just relax and wait down in the basement."
Lapis hated feeling like this.
She hated feeling so weak.
Without her powers, without her wings, even without her Gem she felt more like a prisoner even though she was no longer trapped in the mirror or fused with Jasper and Vlad.
Exhaustion.
Sleep.
Hunger.
The…bathroom.
All these changes in so short a time was almost too much for the former Gem to handle. It was only through the gentle coaching of Bunny Bravo was she able to keep herself sane through it all. Bunny led her down the stairs to the basement that was built like a bomb shelter. The walls were reinforced, there was a miniature fridge with the necessary provisions, a single bathroom and a few sleeping bags laid out for the three.
"Here." Bunny sat Lapis down on a chair. "Just relax and if you need something cool to calm your nerves there are some drinks in the fridge. I'll go find Mr. Universe and bring him down."
Lapis nodded, watching as Bunny quickly headed back up the stairs.

"We're stuck here in DexLabs until it's over. What about you, Dad?"
"Don't worry, Schtu-ball. We're just going to hide in the basement of Miss Bravo's house. She's got it all set up to handle a city wide explosion." Greg answered, sitting in the back of his van.
Greg Universe was overall a person living a simpler lifestyle. He is known to be friendly and genuine, and, so far, has retained an honest attitude concerning his feelings as an individual. He liked to be easy-going and an optimist; his catchphrase being 'If every porkchop were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs'. While Greg is not necessarily knowledgeable about many of the situations he faces, he often tries to give the best advice he can that is based on his own experiences, which can have much value in their simplicity and his pragmatic view on things.
Much like his son, Greg cares deeply for his loved ones and friends. He often worries about Steven, paranoid about the worst happening to Steven, which stresses him to no end. Despite this, he tries his best to put on a brave face for his son with the knowledge that it made Steven happy and fulfilled. He is generally uncomfortable in dealing with Gem powers, which he refers to as 'magic stuff'.
He chooses to avoid magical situations unless Steven asks him for help. This mostly stemmed from Rose's passing when she gave birth to Steven, especially from Pearl and Amethyst. Pearl had been jealous of the relationship Rose and Greg had and those negative feelings had worsened when Rose gave up her physical form to have Steven. As for Amethyst she developed a grudge against him for 'taking' Rose away from her, leading to an unspecified confrontation and them calling their friendship off.
As for Garnet it was hard to tell if the Gem fusion disliked him but she had always been more cordial to than the rest of the Gems. She even thanked him when he helped them decipher the message Lapis sent to them which was a big leap in progress in the eyes of the wannabee rock star. At the very least she keeps a cool head all the time and trusted her to watch out for Steven.
"Greg Universe!" Bunny called from the front door of her home. "Get you sun burnt butt in here, pronto! Omega alerts mean you get inside a shelter and not your van!"
"Coming!" Greg called back, looking back down at his tablet. "Got to go, little man. I'll talk to you later?"
Steven nodded with a smile. "Don't eat Mrs. Bravo out of her house, Dad."
"Oh you know me, Schtu-ball." Greg chuckled, ending the call.
He then shut his van's back doors and locked them up before rushing into the Bravo house with his guitar.
Once inside Bunny locked the doors. "All right. Doors and windows locked. I got the windows covered and the basement's all ready for us. Let's go but first there is something you must do."
"What's that?" Greg asked.
Bunny pointed upstairs. "Take a shower and put some deodorant on. If this alert stays on for a good while the last thing I want is for me and the poor dear downstairs to suffer from the place smelling like a gym bag."
"I don't smell that bad." Greg protested with a hurt look on his face.
"When you did last have a shower?" Bunny raised an eyebrow.
"At least…Last...Week." Greg trailed off.
"Shower and use actual soap. Car wash hose does not count." Bunny pointed upstairs.
Greg sighed and went up the stairs to the bathroom. "Well, at least my hair could do with some shampoo."
Bunny rolled her eyes. "What does everyone think I am running, a Dine and Dash?"

Meanwhile in another universe, Hookocho's warship settled into orbit of the planet. Soon enough Hookocho's men were in a smaller ship and heading down to the surface of the planet.
How does this affect the Crystal Gems who are in another universe?
The one simple fact: they were already friends with someone connected here.
"My lord, we have located the conduit and the power source." Baron O'Beefdip reported. "Shall we move in and take them."
"Yes." Hookocho snickered. "Send out some our foot soldiers first. I want to know how powerful the conduit's human is."
"Yes, Lord Hookocho."
Hookocho grinned, sitting back in his throne. 'Soon once I have the conduit and the source with me all I need is the girl and with their powers I'll destroy this planet and all the rest in this universe before moving onto the next: the physical universe!'
Hookocho had arrived and he would take great pleasure in the destruction he was about to cause.
Who was this creature?
Where did he come from?
And what were his plans?
Everyone was about to find out.
