Chapter 2
Jax's POV
"When we were back in the Enchanted Forest I never wore dresses when I was in my castle, I was always using magic and/or anything else I could to make me feel and appear more masculine. It felt like I was in a Halloween costume I couldn't get out of." I said looking at both of them, making sure that they were understanding what I was saying. When I felt that they had processed that I took a long hit off my dab pen before talking again. " I never publicly transitioned into the Evil King because of my mother, but thankfully Snow you took care of that problem. Thank you for that." I explained further.
"Hey baby can I have a hit?" Emma asked reaching for it. I handed it too her without even thinking about her father being right there and looking at us. "Thanks babe." She said Before she took a solid 30 second hit off it.
"Your buying my next cart, you know that right? I laughed remembering her parents were here and looking back and forth between all of us.
"Yea, I know. It's okay I love you." She smiled.
"Emma since when the fuck did you start smoking weed? Are you on anything else?" Snow asked kinda furious but also worriedly.
"I've always smoked mom. Don't worry this is all I do, okay?" Emma said calming her mother down.
"Okay." Snow said content with her answer. "May I try it?" Snow asked kind of scared, looking at me.
"Yea sure, just don't hit it too long unlik your daughter here who smokes way too much of it." I said as I handed it to hero was trying to mess around with Emma. She took it and took kind of a decent hit off of it. Surprisingly thouh she didn't cough that badly.
"Damn!" She said looking at the dab pen. "That shits good." Charming was staring at her in disbelief the entire time.
"Well what the hell, David you want a hit since everyone else has had one?" I said half joking and half seriously I said taking it back from Snow.
"Sure, why the fuck not? Right?" He said reaching in my direction politely waiting while I took yet another hit off of it. He took a bigger hit than his daughter and didn't cough at all, we were all impressed with him looking at him. Snow was looking with pure jealousy, me and Emma were just impressed and shocked.
"Damn that is the good shit." He said handing it back to me.
"I thought you said you have never smoked." I said taking it back. "That's besides the point though, David can I talk to you for a second please? Alone?" I asked quietly earning a look from both Snow and Emma.
"Sure... Give me a second I'll be right there." He said looking at me with concern and a bit of worry on his face.
"I'll be up in Emma's room." I said getting and giving Emma a quick peck on the lips before headig up the stairs. About 2 minutes later we were both sitting on the side of the bed both looking down at the floor at our feet.
"David, I wanted to talk to you alone because I wanted to ask you something but I couldn't in front of the girls." I said finally looking at him with pure terror in my face.
"Reg- I mean Jax, I'm sorry. Go ahead ask me. Although I think I know what it is you want to ask me." He said looking back at me with a small smile on his face.
"You are Emma's father and I know that you want the bestfor her, and that I have fucked up yours and Snows life in unimaginable ways both in the Enchanted Forest and here. I know you used to hate for very good reasons, and sometimes I still think you do. Although, I love Emma with everything I have. I want to spend the rest of my life with her. May I have your blessing to marry your daughter?" I asked standing up and standing I front of him, terrified.
"Yes, you may marry my daughter." He said smiling getting up and hugging me. "So have you picked a ring out yet? If you have do you have it? If not where is it so we can go get it?" He asked letting go and getting on his phone.
"I do not have it yet I coulnt afford it with her knowing I was up to something. It is at a store in the mall called Kays Jewelery. The mall is in Boston. I know it's a farish drive so I understand if you don't want to go, but it would be nice if you would as a cover." I said excitedly.
"Of course I'll cover for my son-in-law." He said which made my heart melt. Do you like fishing, hunting, or anything outdoorsy?" He asked trying to think of a cover.
"Yea, I love all those. I just couldn't ever show it." I said happily.
"Perfect. I've got a perfect cover then, come on just go with what I say." He said as he turned for the door. Once we got downstairs the girls were talking and didnt realize that we're back until we sat back down.
"What was that all about?" Snow asked.
"Man stuff." David said. "Me and Jax have a thing we need to go to in Boston." That darned a look from the girls.
