Reid looked at sharded ceramic pieces that littered his brown rug. His head was sweaty from the amount of tension he had within himself. He left the pieces on the floor as he was too tired to bother cleaning it up. He lies down on his couch; staring at the ceiling. After hours of staring his eyes slowly close from exhaustion.
'His eyes opened as he felt the cold night air, he was in a boat floating down a river. He could see the stars shining bright. Lushes dark trees surrounded the waters. He could hear crickets in the background. It was the most peaceful atmosphere. This, however, ended quickly. When Reid looked down into the water and saw his reflection distorted, his skin melting into the water. His body was now completely submerged in the water as he gasped for one last breath. Unfortunately, he couldn't breathe again. The lack of breath made tears fall from his eyes. The world went black'
Reid woke up in a gasp, tears falling from his eyes. 'It was just a dream' he said to himself. He looked around but could bearly see a thing. The glowing digital clock read: 4:00 AM. he felt tired still but after his nightmare, he felt too stressed to go back to sleep. He stood up but felt dizzy, suddenly the room started spinning. He tripped on his coffee table and fell onto the ceramic shards that had been left. He winced at the pain of glass slightly cutting the layers of skin on his feet and hands. He picked out the pieces on his foot that he could and stood up. Feeling the sting of the cuts he hobbled over to his first aid kit in his bathroom. He sat on the floor of his bathroom picking out all the glass slivers. He cleaned up the cuts and wrapped them. It was now nearly 5:00 AM and Reid didn't want to bother going back to sleep for only a couple hours. He decided to go to work early and catch up with any paperwork he had. He got dressed in his dark brown pants and a green sweater with a purple vest and purple tie. He grabbed his bag and left for work. He walked into the BAU as he still cringed inside with each sting from each step. He was the only one in the bullpen. He went over to the coffee maker and brewed a pot. He filled his blue TARDIS coffee mug and walked back to his desk. He saw his stack of paperwork he had not finished from the night before. He tried to read through the papers but his mind still could not concentrate on the words that he saw.
