…Cut it off!...
...Why? Wont it hurt the little guy?...
…We must do everything to hide to prevent him from becoming an ape, cut it off!...
…Why?! That'd be lying to him….
…You must understand! If we have to go through something like that again, it'll be the end of all of us!…
…But-…
…I know what we're doing is unethical but we must also ensure his safety and everyone' else's….
…Well…Fine, but just know that I think this is not the Equestria Way…
Modern Day...14 Years after The Saiyan Attack
A Boy, blue spiky hair. A black weather breaker jacket, baggy black pants and blue shoes. It was a face everyone in the city had seen, seen and hated that is. They knew something he didn't. His secret, who he really was. How he wasn't human.
But needles to say, the feeling was mutual for the boy. He hated the small tech based city known as Canterlot. Everyone treated him differently, more cruel and he didn't know why. So in-turn, he became known across the city as a troublemaker and a rebel. Not playing by anybody's rules.
The Boy's name, Flash Sentry.
It was a normal morning in the city. And most students were in class, everyone except Flash. The teacher was calling out names as a part of attendance.
"Skies?"
"Here."
"Shimmer?"
"Here."
"Sentry?"
…
"Sentry?"
He looked away from the list to see Flash wasn't in his seat at all. He sighed, knowing where the boy was.
"Miss Shimmer?" he asked, "Would you mind dragging Sentry into class?"
The girl he was talking to had red and yellow hair. She wore a leather jacket, jeans and black boots. She was basically one of the model students. Her name Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset nodded. With a smile on her face, "Yea. I guess I will." She got out of her seat and walked out of the classroom, heading for the roof.
Sunset walked all the way to the top of the school. Reaching the stair case to the roof. There, she saw Flash Sentry. Sitting against a wall and eating a bag of chips.
Her lip curled, "You know, it's just more than coming to class." He was silent, not really acknowledging her. Sunset grit her teeth and grunted, "Hey, I know for a fact your not deaf!"
Flash let out a sigh. Looking at Sunset with a blunt expression, "Don't you have somewhere else to be a goody two-shoes?"
"This isn't an act you doofus! Mr. Armor sent me to come and get you!"
Flash chuckled, "And you actually cared to do it. Man you really are nothing but a goody two shoes."
Sunset was becoming more irritated with Flash. Looking away and closing her eyes. "You know, maybe if you didn't have such a snotty attitude and actually tried. Maybe you'd get somewhere in life." When she winked open one eye, she saw that Flash wasn't even on the wall anymore.
Instead, Flash squatted down. Looking at Sunset's behind. "Man, for a goody two shoes. I gotta say, you really are packing a lot!"
Sunset's face turned red. What Flash didn't know was he just poked the bear. Turning around she raised arm up and clenched her hand into a fist, "YOU, PERVERTED JERK!"
Sunset walked back into class, dragging Flash by the collar whom now had a black eye.
"Alright Mr. Armor, I got him." She let go of Flash and walked back to her seat.
Mr. Shining Armor gave Flash a look. His eyes widened a little at the sight of a black eye. He let out a sigh, "Good Morning Mr. Sentry, uh...do you possibly need ice?"
Flash rolled his eyes to the best of his ability, feeling the sting in his right. "I'm fine, thanks."
"Any reason for your late?"
He shrugged, "Well I got hungry. Can you blame me."
Shining Armor's eyebrows furrowed. He'd kept his cool with Flash since his arrival to the academy. He'd been told of his previous behaviour at the Junior Academy, he just didn't know how to deal with it.
He let out a sigh, knowing what could possibly come out of it. "Okay, everyone line up. Were doing a Ki drill whether you all like it or not." The whole class all began to pout and complain. Prompting Shining Armor to get stern, "Hey! I'm doing this for your sake's not mines. Now enough talking!"
Everyone got into a line. Everyone in the line gave Flash dirty looks as every time they had to this sort of thing, it was always because of him.
"Nice going Flash!" Said Rainbow Dash, "Because of you we all have to do this and hold off on flying."
Flash raised his had up and pretended to use it as a mouth. He looked behind him, "Wanna fly? How about jumping off a cliff maybe that'll give you some air time!"
"Oh you are so-!" But before Rainbow Dash could do anything, Applejack put her hand on her shoulder.
"Don't let him get to ya Dash. Just let him be."
In front of the line was Twilight Sparkle. Shining Armor's little sister. He moved out of the way and gestured for her to proceed, "Kay Sis! Let's see how you've improved."
Twilight smiled and nodded. Looking straight at the Ki-Proof Board. She focused everything into her hands. Gritting her teeth, she let out a cry and shot out a Yellow Ki Ball. The energy ball hit the board, leaving a mark.
Shining Armor wrote down everything on a paper on a clipboard. Impressed, "Nice. With that type of skill you'll be onto beams in no time, next!"
…
The majority of the class all went, all showing great progress. But now it was Flash's turn. Shining Armor was not as impressed with Flash as he showed little to no effort in his Ki attacks during their drills. They'd either dematerialize mid air and not work at all.
"Okay Sentry! Let's see how you've been doing."
Flash smirked. Raising his arm up, he focused everything into his hands and created a Blue Ki Ball. Shining Armor looked at it, he smiled as it looked promising. Flash then let out a cry, shooting out the energy ball.
Shining Armor was a little impressed, "Wow looks like he's gotten bet-"
*BOOM!*
The energy ball quickly self combusted, startling Shining Armor and the rest of the class. Flash meanwhile.
"Pffft HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man you should see the look on your faces it's priceless."
At that moment Shining Armor snapped and yelled at Flash as hard as he could, "DAMMIT SENTRY! YOU COULD'VE HURT SOMEONE! YOU KNOW WHAT, GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT. I'LL DEAL WITH YOU AFTER SCHOOL!"
Shining Armor was sitting at his desk, watching as Flash was scrubbing the floor. "Listen young man. You're not allowed to go home until every inch of the floor is clean."
Flash glared at his teacher, "Whatever. It's not like anyone's waiting for me at home." He looked back down on the ground
Shining Armor's eyes widened. "Ouch."
That just made him feel bad. Though he did deal with Flash's attitude. He was one of the few that actually cared about him. He stroked his chin. Taking his phone out, he texted his wife.
Hey? Are you still planning that thing with Queen Celestia?
Yeah. Why? Did something happen.
No, No. I just have to do marking tonight.
Okay. Luv U 3
He smiled a lot at the last text. Looking back at Flash he cleared his voice. "Hey...uh...well."
Flash groaned, "What now?"
"If you can get this done." he looked away, "I'll buy some food as a reward." He looked back at Flash who looked surprised. Speechless, it was the first time he'd ever seen that out of Flash.
"REALLY! AW MAN TALK ABOUT LOOKING FORWARD TO SOMETHING!"'
Shining Armor found himself chuckling.
It was now evening. Flash and his teacher sat at a table while munching on some burgers. Well munching was a bit of an understatement for Flash. He was full on pigging out but Shining Armor didn't really mind it.
However, he did still have the whole situation from earlier in his head.
He sighed, "Look Sentry."
Flash stopped biting and looked up at his teacher.
"That thing you pulled in class earlier. Not that it isn't impressive, it's just...Look I-I just want you to follow the curriculum and get through school." Flash's eye lids lowered, feeling genuinely sad. This made it even harder on Shining Armor. "I know I've said this a thousand times to you before. But I know that you're capable of being a good student. I see so much potential in you Flash. I know you can see it in yourself too."
Flash continued biting into his sandwich. Looking around he saw a bunch of people looking at him with dirty looks while kids looked at him curiously or scared. His eyes narrowed as he bit hard.
That caught Shining Armor's attention. "I know life's been rough for you. And well...everyone."
"Hates me?"
Shining Armor was caught off guard by that comment, "What? No...come on! That's not true."
"Well besides you Mr. Armor everyone else doesn't like me. My classmates, everyone on the streets. Maybe even criminals hate me. I'm not dumb you know."
"I know that. But-"
"I just want to know why." Flash put his burger down, "Even when I was little no one liked me. I've been thrown onto the ground by adults before. I've been given those dirty looks my whole life and every time I think I've made a friend their parents always take them away and say the words, 'Stay away from him.' I just want to know why!"
Shining Armor sat up straight. For the first time he was kind of understanding why Flash was the way he was. But he shrugged, "I-I wish I could tell you. But I don't know."
Flash sighed, "It's fine Mr. Armor. Can we just talk about something else, I don't wanna talk about this."
"Sure kid."
They didn't say a word to each other for the rest night. The two just continued eating.
Both Flash and Shining Armor went their Separate Ways for the night. Flash stuffed his hands in his pockets and began walking down the streets of Canterlot. Everyone around him either tried to ignore him or just gave him 'those' stares.
….It's him...
…Woah. Keep your distance from that boy. No telling what he'll do…
…And what do you staring at huh? Get out of here!...
…Don't you dare come any closer!...
All of those words, all of those words and so much more haunted Flash. He lowered his neck and kept walking. As he did, he began to hear a cry of a child. Looking behind him, he saw a boy running. He arched an eyebrow as he watched the boy running right at his path.
Kneeling down, he waited for they boy to pass before grabbing him by the collar. The boy looked up looking even more scared.
"Ahh, please. Don't hurt me."
Flash was even more confused, "What? Calm Down kid I don't even know you." He let the kid go and stood up straight, "And hey what are you doing screaming down the streets?"
The boy pointed towards the bullies who were chasing him. "Those guys are trying to hurt me."
The three bullies were a lot taller than the boy but really short compared to Flash. He chuckled, "Well, this should be fun."
"HEY GET BACK HERE!"
"WERE NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!"
"DID YOU GO CRYING TO YOUR MAMA?"
However as the three ran. They ran right up to Flash, all stopping as they recognized his face. Flash smirked rather sinisterly and leaned against a wall. "Really guys, chasing a kid smaller than you?"
They all got freaked out by Flash. They'd hear stories from their parents about the Saiyan attack fourteen years ago on the town. They all screamed, running the other way.
The boy looked astonished and began laughing in joy, "Thanks mister!"
But before Flash could answer, the Boy's mother. A person in her late forties, arrived to the sound of her child screaming. "Bolt! Bolt! Are you out here young Ma-" She stopped. Seeing Flash standing right behind the boy.
Her eyes widened. "BOLT!" She grabbed the boy and shielded his eyes away from Flash, "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING WITH HIM! DON'T YOU KNOW HE'S DANGEROUS!"
"But Mom he saved-"
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT! JUST STAY AWAY FROM HIM!"
At that point Flash finally reached his breaking point, "Me? ME!? WHAT COULD I'VE POSSIBLY DONE! I JUST SAVED YOUR KID A THANK YOU WOULD BE NICE!"
She however didn't care for any of his words, instead commenting about him screaming, "Ugh! How indecent of you. Yelling like an animal in front of my boy! Just get out of here you!"
"OH WELL MAYBE I WILL!" He turned around, never more infuriated in his life, "Whatever. Who needs their gratitude. That's the last time I help someone out!
