Nana: Hey guys! Here is chapter 2 of A Silver Lining! Now this part is where the Pokémon shipping comes in, and we will see some Beautifly and Masquerain moments. And Pokémon will be talking, so May why don't you explain how it work?
May: Okay! Basically, "Italics" Is Pokémon speech, Italics is thoughts no matter if human or Pokémon, and "Quotes" as we know is human speech. Disclaimer!

Chapter 2-Pain
May set Glaceon down on a bench, they were facing a battlefield which had benches around it. She rubbed her fur carefully, Glaceon was still sleeping peacefully and didn't wake up.
"Glaceon, wake up please." May whispered. Glaceon opened its eyes to see May. Glaceon mewed softly and May grabbed her and rubbed her fur.
"I'm glad you're okay. Let's get you something to eat." May said. Drew was watching carefully, until his Roserade came out from its Pokeball.
"Have you forgotten about us? It's time to eat while you are off here, staring at May." Roserade said angrily. Roserade was punctual, and didn't like to miss important things, while her trainer didn't care much about anything, except his Pokémon, his family, his career, and May. Now it seemed that May's welfare was all that he can care about.
"Right, right." Drew said as he let out all his Pokémon.
Masquerain came out and fluttered around for a bit and landed on May's head.
"Oop, oh hello Masquerain. It's been a while, hasn't it?" May said while petting the Pokémon.
"Mas!" Masquerain said.
"I'll let out my Pokémon too!" May said. She stood up and let her Pokémon all out.
Beautifly came out with sparkles fluttering out of her wings let usually. Masquerain looked at her and a small blush could be seen on his face. Beautifly looked around and saw Masquerain, it chirped happily and Masquerain's blush was more obvious.
Flygon looked at Butterfree and they laughed at Masquerain's behavior. Somewhat like his trainer, Masquerain was more shy and really loved to show off when doing appeals or if it's in front of Beautifly.
Flygon whispered something to Butterfree and said, "Go talk to Beautifly and see how Masquerain reacts. Then we will know if he likes her or not."
Butterfree replied back, "I like that! I'm going to go over."
Butterfree flew over to Beautifly and started talking, he flirted a bit and Beautifly chirped happily again. Masquerain looked angry, just like Drew he would get jealous every time Butterfree came to Beautifly. Masquerain flew over there and asked for Beautifly privately to chat.
"Hello Beautifly" Masquerain said.
"Hello." Beautifly said, unbeknownst to Masquerain, Beautifly always had something for Masquerain ever since she saw him that night doing a mini appeal.
"Do you want to, ya know, fly around for a bit?" Masquerain asked.
"I'd like that" Beautifly flew around, Beautifly did flips and turns that were graceful and elegant. Masquerain did the same following her around.
"Aww, look at you two! Adorable!" May said. Drew's Absol was also out but it relaxed on the ground watching over the Pokémon.
May's Wartotle was sliding on Flygon's back, it was good friends with Flygon, since they have battled many times. Skitty was running around Flygon also sliding on its back.
Butterfree had went to a tree to relax, Blaziken was sitting under the same tree. It was also watching over the Pokémon like Absol.
Glaceon took a few small steps and relaxed on the ground, she was a couple feet away from Absol. She sat there and closed her eyes, relaxing.
May went to her bag and gave everyone their bowls and different types of food. Drew did the same but gave some of his Pokémon, PokeBlock.
May sat down on the bench Glaceon was on and watched all the Pokémon. Drew sat next to her also watching the Pokémon.
Skitty finished her food quickly and went over to Drew pulling on his pant leg.
"Uh..." Was all he could say because of the energetic Pokémon.
"Skitty." May said sternly, "What do you want?"
Skitty leaped up into Drew's lap and snuggled on his lap.
"Oh, she wants you to pet her while she snuggles with you. Try it out! It's fun." May said.
"Oh...ok." Drew said, he petted the cat Pokémon which stretched out and leaped out of his lap.
"Skitty, you crazy Pokémon." May said. Skitty ran over to Drew's bag and pulled it over to him.
"Ok, Skitty that's enough." May said. Skitty ignored her and opened up the bag and pulled out a small pouch. She dunked the pouch down to have come out a Moon Stone.
"Skitty." May said sternly to try and stop her Pokémon. Instead Skitty ignored May and touched the Moon Stone.
"Skitty no!" May yelled. And Skitty turned white.
"Nyaaa" Skitty yelled and became bigger and transformed.
"Del Del" The newly evolved Pokémon said while turning on its hind leg doing a spin.
"Y-You e-evolved!" May stuttered, she brought out her Pokedex to see the description for her new Pokémon.
Delcatty, The Prim Pokémon. A normal type. Delcatty prefers to live an unfettered existence in which it can do as it pleases at its own pace. Because this Pokémon eats and sleeps whenever it decides, its daily routines are completely random.
"Oh Drew, I'm so sorry! I'll make sure to get your Moon Stone replaced." May said and bowed her head down.
"It's fine May, really. I found that Moon Stone when I was looking for the Shiny Stone to evolve Roselia into Roserade." Drew said while petting Delcatty.
"And besides, I figured you would have wanted the Moon Stone to evolve Skitty in the first place. It was about time when Skitty should have evolved, don't you think?" Drew said.
"I-I guess." May said. She sat down and petted Delcatty, who was sitting next to her.
"I put Glaceon's bowl in front of her and she still hasn't eaten." May said concerningly.
"She might not be in the mood for eating, she might be depressed because of the loss." Drew said.
"Maybe…" May trailed off. She went over to Glaceon and stroked her waking her up.
"Glaceon, will you try eating please? It will help, trust me." May said gently.
Glaceon looked at her and instead Glaceon turned around and faced the forest that was in front of them.
"Oh…maybe later" May said and she walked off.
After about 10 minutes later, all the Pokémon had eaten their food, except Glaceon she was sulking off still in the same position as before.
"Glaceon, please eat you need your strength." May urged Glaceon moving the food closer to Glaceon's mouth.
"Please Glaceon." May kept on pleading until Glaceon lashed out. Using her unhurt paw, she slapped the bowl out of May's hands. The bowl clattered against the ground and Pokémon food was scattered around.
"Gla-Gla!" Glaceon said in anger. May's eyes were shimmering in sadness she was holding her hand which looked hurt. Glaceon's angry face went away, after she realized what she had done. Glaceon sprinted off into the forest, running quickly, her eyes closed. She couldn't stay, she hurt her trainer. May would abandon her.
"Glaceon…Glaceon wait!" May yelled she stood up.
(Author's Note: Basically, this is how I think Absol sense danger, so don't say anything about it. Just go with it. Kind of like how Jacob sense Hollowgasts.)
Absol had pain in its stomach. Danger. Show me. He got a vision of Glaceon she was running, falling off a cliff and getting attacked by a wild Pokémon. He needed to protect her, he didn't know why, but he had too.
"Ab!" Absol yelled and ran off in the distance of where Glaceon ran off.
"Absol!" Drew yelled, "May, quick return your Pokémon."
"Return!" May and Drew said to their Pokémon, returning them to their Pokeballs. May and Drew grabbed their bags and ran off following Absol.
"Absol has a good sense of smell, that's how it's finding Glaceon." Drew said.
"But why did he run off after Glaceon? It might be dangerous up ahead." May said, remembering about the Absol she met on her Hoenn journey.
"True." Drew said, they continued running. Absol ran faster than them, May and Drew couldn't see him anymore.
"Absol! Slow down!" Drew yelled, but no reply could be heard.
"We'll have to follow his footsteps then." Drew said, they slowed down and followed their footsteps.
Glaceon
Glaceon continued running, tears were streaming down her face. She ran until she reached a cliff she ran through the air until she opened her eyes and look down and fell. She rolled on the cliff until she hit a tree hard. Her bandages unraveled, and she got more bruises and scratches.
"Great, just great." Glaceon said. She heard buzzing and Beedrill came out from the tree she hit. She ran off until they stopped following her, she surprisingly ran very well, after getting injured in a battle and being chased by Beedrill.
She walked carefully, but eventually got tired. Then an Ursaring came out from the tree and started to attack Glaceon.
"Stop please!" Glaceon pleaded, but the Ursaring didn't stop. She was pushed back into a tree. Ursaring got ready to do Throat Chop, she closed her eyes and pleaded to Arceus that someone save her.
"Sol!" Absol said, as he ran in front of Glaceon and used Razor Wind pushing the Ursaring back.
Glaceon opened her eyes to see her savior, the Pokémon she had a small crush on when she was a tiny Eevee. She had always thought that Absol would never notice her. She was wrong.
Ursaring used Hyper Beam and Absol countered with Dark Pulse, the Hyper Beam was cancelled out, and Absol used Razor Wind one more time to get the Ursaring to leave.
Glaceon stayed there in shock, Absol turned to her and looked at her. A small blush was shown on her face, the background turned to a pink with white sparkles around, Absol fur looked shiner, with sparkles and was fluffy and smooth.
"Are you okay?" Absol asked, all Glaceon could do nod while still stuck in her trance, she broke out of it and shook her head implying no.
"You look messed up. Can you walk?" Absol asked again. Glaceon tried to stand up, but fell, her eyes were still shining with tears. Absol sighed and sat down so Glaceon could get on his back.
Once Glaceon was on his back, he started walking more into the forest, since he was focused on Glaceon only, he didn't know his way back.
"S-So, w-why did you come after me?" Glaceon asked. Absol looked at her and said, "Because I could sense danger around you, and I know how you feel."
"Know how I feel?"
"Ever since Master caught me, and it was the Kanto Grand Festival. I know that he is no longer what he was back then, but the thought of me failing him like back in Kanto haunts me. He hurt your trainer, and I felt like it was my fault."
Glaceon inferred that 'Master' meant Drew, and what had happened the last Festival.
"May was sad. But it wasn't your fault, Drew was just frustrated. I think he wants to show May that he is better but May showed him that when she beat him. I remember, May cried that night, she was worried about you and Drew. But that's in the past. You shouldn't keep holding it on." Glaceon said.
"Aren't you doing the same thing?" Absol asked.
"This is different…" Glaceon said.
"Hm…"
They continued to walk through the forest, the serene, calm forest.
Nana: I almost cried when I wrote this! It was happy and sad, but then my family would think I'm crazy, but I like to think this shows how dedicated I am.
Drew: Big baby…
