*Thoughts*
The volume in gym started rising as everyone voiced their opinions. This was silenced with a shout.
"ENOUGH! Let's settle this before I go. Kennedy, this started between you and me. Let's finish this between us."
Buffy, Willow and Giles exclaim.
"Xander, stop this.."
"Xander, Kennedy will hurt you.."
"Xander, you can't be serious.."
"Boy toy. You got this?" Faith asks with concern.
"Five by Five" he replies with a shark like grin.
Kennedy interrupting them grinning like a shark "You got it Xander!" She ran forwards intent on taking him down hard.
With a smile that did not reach his eyes "Perfect!"
Seeing the intent etched on her face the room froze expecting the worse.
A small pulse of power filled the room for an instant. Just before her fist connected she could have sworn she saw Xander's eye flash. The next thing she knew she was flying across the room, walls spinning around. She landed on her back, stunned, more by surprise than the actual impact. The axe falling from her grasp. Everyone in the room trying to figure out what just happened.
The silence was broken by a cheerful voice, with a hint of mockery. "Kennedy, I said this was to be a two out of three fall fight. Since we didn't call start I won't count that one against you." The spell broken she kips to get turning to face him. "Hand to hand, all out, pausing after each fall to get an accurate count of falls?"
"Your gonna wish you quit while ahead Harris!" Rushing his position again.
The others in the room were trying to figure out what they felt a few moments ago.
Again, just before she was able to land a punch she felt a pulse of power and flash in his eye before she feels him grab her wrist, and use a Hapkido wrist throw. Using her speed against her she flew almost 20 feet off the mats and onto the floor.
Buffy, Willow, Giles and Faith focused on the pulse of power and zeroed in on Xander trying to figure out what was going on.
Mockingly "Ken doll, that's one. I thought you were serious about wanting me to stay out of your way?"
As soon as she hits the ground she jumps up and charges him again. Instead of a careless run she stops before him and engages him. He deflects the punches, and she feels low hum of power radiating from him. It feels familiar, makes her want to submit, it angers her even more, submit to a loser like him? Not happening. Throwing a kick at his head, he grabs it instead of deflecting it, she feels a spike in power and with a show of strength he tosses her off the mats and into the wall.
Buffy feels slayer energy. *He must be possessed by Sineya.*
Willow feels magic energy. *He must have miscast a spell again.*
Giles feels demonic energy. *He must be infected by a demon.*
Faith feels primal energy. *Where did get that well of power?*
"That's two Kennedy, you lose. Now, Get, Out, and leave MY axe."
The whole room is stunned, except for a few that spur into action circling around Xander.
"Xander, Sineya seems to have come back you need to fight it."
"Xan, you and magic don't mix, I will remove it."
"Demonic infection Xander, we will take care of it."
Faith, *What the hell is wrong with B, Red and G?*
Focused on Xander and stuck on their own views of the situation they don't hear each other's assessments or notice Kennedy grab the axe off the floor and the rage in her eyes as she charges him.
Flying through the circle of Scoobies with the axe held high and murder in her eyes, she barely registers a huge pulse of power and sees his eye glowing an acid green color and reverberating growl fills the room everyone feels in their bones.
With a blur of movement, Xander steps in under the swing, slams his right fist into her chest and palms a vial from a belt pouch in his left. The hit stops her torso cold, cracking a couple ribs, her feet did not get the memo. With her momentum stopped so suddenly she began summersaulting. As she finishes her revolution he passes the vial to his right hand and slams it down on her chest and driving her into the floor. Shattering the glass it cuts his hand and Kennedys' chest, their blood and potion mingle and a yellow cloud of mist erupts and several shouts ring out.
Willow yells "Finite!"
Giles yells "Incarcerous!"
Buffy moves in to knock him out.
Xander yells. "With MY axe!?"
Flashes of light and a fist hit the cloud, and a hand reaches for the fallen axe. The cloud flares and the spells rebound. Willow feels shocked and stumbles as several spells she had running on her to help her keep pace with Kennedy abruptly dissipate. Giles is tied up with thin ropes and Buffy feels a slayer powered fist knock her off her feet cracking a few ribs and almost passing out.
A voice devoid of emotion fills the room "I have tried to work with you. For Willow, for the girls, especially for the girls and the new council and the Scoobies."
"Your just jealous!" As she tries to get up. "QUIET!" And over powering aura of an Alpha and glowing yellow eye causes her to hesitate, hesitate a moment too long. Her eyes going wide as she sees the axe coming down. She closes her eyes knowing it's too late, she's going to die.
