"What is going on?!" Iruka asks looking around with panic evident on his face.
"It's Orochimaru's attack." Adohira says looking at Kiyashi, who nods, Iruka furrows his brows. Orochimaru? In Konoha? With the ANBU and all the Jounins out there? It can't be.
"Iruka-sensei, you have to let us fight him." Kiyashi says stepping forward. "We can handle him, you can't keep us locked in here." he says with a menacing undertone. Clearly Kakashi's. Iruka thinks
"We have the ANBU out there and almost all of our ninjas, everything will be alright." the man reasons and even though Kiyashi still doesn't look up from the ground, Iruka knows that he is getting angrier by the minute.
"It won't. In our dimension that thing destroyed half the village, if it wasn't for Yugito Nii's Bijuu, the village would have been lost." Kiyashi says in a steady tone.
"A Bijuu?" Iruka asks. That does not sound good…
"We have to stop Orochimaru." Kiyashi begins walking to the door, but Iruka steps in front of him, stopping the boy.
"I can't let that happen. This is a different dimension, things won't happen the same way they happened in your dimension and I can't let you die." he looks down at Kiyashi, who looks up, they look each other in the eyes and Iruka almost gasps from what he sees.
The boy's dark grey eyes stare back at the man, grey scarred, diluted eyes. Iruka keeps looking at those eyes, like he is trapped in their gaze. He can see that the retina is moving slightly, like it tries to focus on Iruka, but it can't do it properly, Iruka watches the slight movement in amazement, trying to understand what is going on.
"Who will go against Gaara?" Kiyashi asks with a dark tone, it sends shivers down Iruka's spine. Definitely Kakashi's. It's like talking to a young version of the Copy-Nin.
"Gaara?" Iruka asks perplexed, trying to piece the things together.
"He has the One-Tailed Bijuu, he has to be stopped." Kiyashi reasons slightly frustrated. This day's getting more and more interesting by the minute… Thinks Iruka.
In that moment the door opens and Iruka turns to see an ANBU member stepping inside. What is he doing here? The masked man stops and looks at the children, then to Iruka, analyzing the situation.
"Tenzou, what are you doing here?" Karasu asks and Iruka turns to the boy. He knows him?
"I thought that Umino-san would need help with you. If you're anything like Senpai, you would try to get out." he says with humor in his tone.
"Shouldn't you be out and do your part?" Kiyashi crosses his arms and narrows his eyes.
"Suspicious, just like Senpai." the masked man's smile is audible in his tone. "I was assigned to keep you here at all cost." he explains flatly.
"Because we know you." Kiyashi fills in.
"Yes." the ANBU member nods.
"Wait, you know each other?" Iruka looks between the ANBU member and the Hatake boys.
"It's classified information." Kiyashi says and Karasu steps near his brother.
"Yes, we do." Karasu says smiling brightly and the other boy nudges him on his side. "Ouch!" Karasu whines and pouts at the elder boy.
"Are you in the ANBU?" Iruka asks. They are young, but how else would they know who that ANBU is?
"I wish…" Karasu sighs.
"Oh, come on!" Adohira cuts in. "You're giving Iruka-sensei a heart attack with your secrecy." Iruka is surprised at Adohira's words. "No, they're no ANBU, I'm not one either and neither is Takumi. They know Tenzou, because their parents were ANBU." he explains and Iruka nods. It is a known fact that Kakashi used to be an ANBU, but he had no idea that the boys' mother used to be one as well. Great. They have Hatake blood and their parents used to be ANBU… Can they be more deadly than that? At least I have this 'Tenzou' on my side if those two decide to attack me. Thinks Iruka.
Iruka looks at the boys, both of them looking at the ANBU member and having a debate of wills, none of the two boys look like they want to attack him or the ANBU. Which was really good, considering the fact that those boys must have been teething on kunai as babies. Too dangerous for Iruka's liking. The third boy, Adohira stands and watches Kiyashi, looking ready to step in if the boy decides to attack. The girl is walking forward and stops near Kiyashi, takes his hand and looks at him.
"Let it go, Yashi, it's their reality, we can't intervene just like that." she says and Kiyashi sighs and nods. Everybody in the room relaxes as the tension dissipates.
Takumi leads Kiyashi to the couch and they sit down, Karasu watches them, with a strange glint in his eyes, while Adohira pops down on the floor.
"Even if we try to get out you'll stop us." Adohira states and Tenzou nods.
"You know that I have orders. You heard Sandaime-sama." Tenzou said, Kiyashi and Adohira nods.
"What do you mean?" Iruka turns to the ANBU. What kind of orders? Did these children do something?
"You'll see." is all the man says.
They stand in silence for hours and at a certain moment the noise from outside stops. The children look at each other and then to the ANBU, but he does not move or react in any way. That is when the door opens and another ANBU comes in, saying something to Tenzo and then the other masked man leaves with a shunshin. Tenzo resumes his unmoving posture. Well, not really unmoving, his hands shake a little, a fact that would have gone unnoticed by the untrained eyes, but all three boys see it.
"Who died?" asks Kiyashi with authority in his voice.
"Sandaime-sama." Tenzo whispers and Iruka's eyes widen. Dammit!

Hope you enjoy this part, it's still like a prologue to the story. In the next part more characters will appear from the anime.
Oh, and I watched all 220 episodes of the original Naruto anime. I guess it's time for Shippuden...
