I hope you find a laugh with this one. My other was a downer so this should make up for it. Please review! ;D

Water And Buckets

Young Legolas

Arlendir and I stood fidgeting under Thranduil's hard gaze. I bit my lip to suppress the smile that creeped up my face. The image of ada drenched with a bucket on his head didn't help. Arlendir spoke up first, "I'm sorry my lord we never intended for that to happen," he assured and pleaded. Father looked away for a moment, his damp hair moving with his face. He had changed his robes but that did not change the fact that he had walked through half the palace dripping wet.

I couldn't help, I let out a very unprince like snort. A laugh escaped my lips before I clamped my hand over my mouth, finding myself suddenly interested in the floor. Arlendir coughed fiercely better disguising his amusement. He was very well mannered for he would never openly laugh in his king's face, but his mind still replayed those moments when the buckets slipped from our fingers.

Ada rolled his eyes and arched an eyebrow. He then gave a scary smile, the one where he had an evil plan. "If you two penneths find it so funny to see your king and your father," he looked pointedly at me, "soaking wet then I'm sure you'll find this just as entertaining." He motioned for his guards to come over.

We stood exactly where father had when we dropped the buckets. Ada was above us where we had with some of his guards. They were to "accidently" drop some water on us. I found it fitting but humiliating for many gathered around. I tilted my head up and ada only shrugged. His lack of response told me "suck it up" and "it's not my fault." I glowered at him and looked away. Next to me Arlendir seemed genuinely upset, "What is it mellon nin?"

He glanced over and whispered, "is Aran Thranduil really mad at us? If my ada found out what I did I'd never hear the end of it." Arlendir's father was a member of the elven guard and extremely loyal to ada. Arlendir was just as but hanging out with me, he didn't have the cleanest record.

Without warning a huge surge of water rained down and soaked us to the bone. I laughed and assured my friend, "If ada was actually angry he wouldn't take pleasure in this," I pointed up, "but he's hiding a smile." Arlendir relaxed and we hopped around a bit as father made his way down to us. I slipped in the grass and mud splashed on my shirt.

Ada picked me up from the ground and sighed. "I was going to say you going to need a bath tonight, but you always find a way to prove me wrong." I smiled widely and ran around him slipping and sliding with Arlendir. Then I heard my favorite noise, a soft laugh from ada.

Hope you enjoyed it! It was fun to write. Review below! ;)
