Okay, on to the story!
Darkkit rolled over in the nest. She yawned without opening her eyes. Then she felt a weight drop on her back.
"Darkkit! Wake up wake up wake UP!" Sunkit whispered excitedly.
"Sunkit, go back to sleep." Darkkit groaned.
"I just can't!" Sunkit flopped again on Darkkit. "The sky's awake, so I'm awake, so we have to PLAY!" (Choco Note- did you get the reference? PM me if you did!)
"Fine." Darkkit shoved her sister off of her. "I'll wake Foxkit and Clearkit."
"YAY!" Sunkit leaped up and raced out of the nursery.
"Foxkit, Clearkit, we have to go play with our insane sister." Darkkit sighed.
"Okay, let's go." Foxkit said, waking Clearkit.
They left the nursery quietly, to find Sunkit with a moss-ball.
"Catch, Clearkit!" Sunkit called, and threw it high as she could.
Darkkit tackled her sister and leaped high to catch the ball. "Ha! Got it!"
Then Goldenblaze came out of the medicine den. Darkkit dropped the ball. "Hold on, I got to go."
"Darkkit, wait!" Sunkit called, but it was too late.
Darkkit raced over to Goldenblaze. "What herb is that?" She asked. "Can you teach me about it? Why is that purple flower on it?"
"Whoa, slow down, Darkkit. This is borage, for Wolfstep's fever. She has been sick for three days."
"Aren't you half RiverClan? Isn't Sharpfang your father? Who is your mother?"
"Slow down, Darkkit. You can walk with me. Yes, Sharpfang is my father. He broke the code once and had kits with a RiverClan warrior, Leafdew. Leafdew intended to keep me and my sister, Flameslip, but she was caught when we were six moons old talking to Sharpfang about us. We were sent away but Leafdew was allowed to stay, so we came here and now we are perfectly happy as ThunderClan cats."
"Wow that's cool." Darkkit exclaimed.
"Here, Wolfstep, you have to eat the borage. Please eat the borage. You need to get better!" Goldenblaze said to Wolfstep.
"Alright, fine." The stubborn old she-cat conceded.
"Darkkit, watch. I'm going to give her only the leaves. The flowers don't help anything, and the stems give indigestion. You strip the leaves with your claw, like so, and then give them to your patient. You try."
Darkkit carefully ran her claw along the juncture between the leaf and stem. She pulled the leaf away and gave it to Goldenblaze. "I did it!"
Goldenblaze had been stripping leaves and had made a small pile. She added Darkkit's leaf carefully, then pushed the whole pile to Wolfstep. "Eat up. And nice job Darkkit!"
Wolfstep lapped up the leaves, shuddering. "Darkkit, would you get me a mouse?" she requested.
"Of course, Wolfstep!" The kit scampered off into the sunlight.
"She's a unique little thing." Goldenblaze commented.
"You should take her on as your apprentice in a moon." Wolfstep said blithely. "And you should start getting her used to the medicine den."
"I'll talk to Thistletuft." Goldenblaze hid a smile.
They watched as an overexcited Darkkit careen into the fresh-kill pile. She sorted through the pile, choosing the plumpest mouse. She hurried back in and dropped it in front of Wolfstep.
"Thank you, Darkkit." Wolfstep said kindly.
"Very welcome. I should get back to my littermates now," Darkkit said.
Wolfstep shot Goldenblaze a look that Darkkit couldn't decipher.
"Why don't you come to the medicine den with me?" Goldenblaze said.
"Okay?" Darkkit responded in a questioning tone.
Goldenblaze led the kit into the medicine den. Goldenblaze taught her to strip and soak leaves. "This is tansy. It is good for coughs. I want you to strip the leaves from the stem and place them in the pool."
"Why?" Darkkit asked. "What does it do for the leaves?"
"After they have soaked for three days, we lay them to dry and they are preserved. Then they can still be useful in leaf-bare when there are less herbs available." Goldenblaze explained. "I need to talk to Thistletuft."
Darkkit started stripping the leaves. On the third stem, she ripped a leaf on accident. "Goldenblaze!"
"I think she could be a potential- hold on." She turned and padded toward the kit. "What happened?"
"I ripped the leaf!" Darkkit said. "What do we do? Can we save it, or do we have to use it now?"
"We can save it, Darkkit. Now calm down. I want you to strip four more leaves but don't put them in the pool."
Darkkit went as fast as she could, then presented Goldenblaze with four new perfect leaves.
"Now wrap the ripped leaf in them, and place the whole thing in the pool." Goldenblaze instructed.
"Ok. Why?" Darkkit asked.
"Because it restores the healing powers of the leaf." Goldenblaze explained.
Darkkit finished her task, and bounced up to Goldenblaze. "Can I go to my littermates now?"
"Alright." Goldenblaze responded.
Darkkit bounced out of the den and immediately launched herself at Sunkit.
"Thistletuft, I think she could become a medicine cat."
And here are the updated Allegiances. I am going to change Wolfkit and Amberkit of ThunderClan to Foxkit and Sunkit because I received two OCs named Amberpaw and Wolfkit of RiverClan and they are already developed. I have not developed Foxkit or Sunkit so I have decided to change their names.
I also changed Flamestar to Silverstar because to me have a leader named Flame and a deputy named Fire is just straight up cringy, and I like Fireshade more than Flamestar

I know that whole chapter was a lot of talking, but I had to show Goldenblaze (Thanks again Lightfeather123456) and Darkkit's characters. Wolfstep will become important, I promise.
