Later that day, the three were in the gym with some of their other friends playing dodgeball.

"Alright," said Moose as he hit a kid.

"Watch the hat!" said Jughead as he dodged a ball.

"I still don't understand, how did Archie know?" thought Betty who had zoned out while thinking of the letter that he had left behind.

"Betty, watch out!" said Veronica. This caused her to look up right as a ball hit her in the face. The last thing Betty saw before darkness was Veronica knelt down beside her, screaming her name.

"Why did I have to be so uncool in front of her?" thought Betty as she lost consciousness. That night around eight, Betty was waking up.

"Where… where am I?" asked Betty as she realized she was in a bed in a white walled room.

"You're in the hospital," said Veronica who was sitting next to her.

"That explains the beeping," said Betty as she heard the beeping of the heart monitor next to her.

"So, how bad is it?" asked Betty.

"You got a slight concussion but nothing any worse," said Alice who was in a seat over by the windows.

"That's a good thing, I guess," said Betty as she put a hand to her head from the pain she was feeling.

"I have to get going, but I'll talk to you later," said Veronica as she stood up.

"See you around, Ronnie," said Betty with a weak smile before the rich girl left, making sure to shut the door gently so as not to cause too much noise.

"She rode in the ambulance with you and never left your side the whole time," said Alice as she smiled at her daughter.

"That sounds like Veronica," said Betty as she smiled too.

"The doctors said you will spend the night if you woke up today, and that you can't go to school for seven days," said Alice.

"Great, I'm going to be so behind in my school work," said Betty.

"I don't think it's the school work you're really going to miss, is it?" asked Alice.

"I don't want to hear it right now," said Betty.
