AN: Ok, I'm feeling a teensy bitsy inspired when I saw the story finally appear on site, I'm not gonna lie I cried like a lil' bitch (kidding, I can't cry) but yeah I'm fired up and while the intro chapter was downright short in my honest opinion so I'm promising you that unless something really bad happens I'll do my best to write at least a 5k size chapter each time for the fanfic. Beware my bad grammar english is not my mother language.

And now to the awaited moment, time for the green cinnamon roll to met dear old (totally not evil) Grandpa!

Chapter 2: Welcome to the Family.

-Izuku P.O.V.-

-"M-mom...where a-are we going?"- Izuku clutched his All-Might figurine to his chest in one hand, while the other was firmly clutched by his mother who looked...different, yeah he can certainly say that his mother looked different.

For one she seemed really serious and cold, oh she smiled at him and hugged him this morning but it seemed kind of forced, like the time Dad send a letter that he would be going away very far. Also she wasn't wearing her normal clothes like her pink sweater, a skirt or the yellow apron she normaly wears at home. Now she was wearing a black leather jacket and black cargo pants along with a pair of black boots.

Other things that he notices was that his mother was so quiet. Until today he always knew that his mother always made some kind of noise whenever she was at home be it by humming a song or rearranging things like the furniture. Now if not for the fact that she was holding his hand and moving along with him he wouldn't be surprised if anyone would aproach him to ask why was he alone in the train.

His mother blinked and gave him another of those weird smiles, not fake yet not quite real and it was making feel really uncomfortable.

-"Sorry Izuku, Uhm...you could say that we are going to see...someone very special that wants to see you"- Izuku tilted his head and tried to smile back at his mother, but it was difficult to do so when he felt like shivering in fear as her mother smile seemed quite scary. Last time she smiled like that was when auntie Mitsuki asked his mom where was his father after he went for his trip.

After boarding the next train towards Tokyo ('Why are we going to Tokyo? Are we going to se another doctor?') his mother held him in his arms and told him to sleep a little since it was going to be a while before they arrived. He did as he was told but he noticed that his mother didn't relax for one bit despite looking aloof, and her eyes would always shift towards anyone who would aproach or board the same train car as them.

And of course there was...whatever his mom had hidden under the jacket. It feel like metal pieces, and sometimes they digged a bit on his sides as he tried to rest by mother's side.

He tired to distract himself by think what would Kacchan would be doing, they were starting to be a bit distant since the day he was declared quirkless. It wasn't that bad at the beggining but Kacchan was strating to act a little mean towards him while starting to brag a bit to the rest of the school about their Quirk. It was a really awesome one and it made him just a bit jealosu that Kacchan has a powerfol gift that could made them a Pro-hero without effort. But if there was anyone who would be a hero it was Kacchan without dubt...

Thinking about the red eyed kid that used to play with him with their own toys of all might was all it needed to bring a tiny smile to him despite what was going on lately.

-"Izu...Izuku...my dear please get up, we're here"- The voice of his mother broguth him back to the present making him blush a bit in embarrasment, he didn't knew he was daydreaming during most of the travel!.

When they exited from the station Izuku counldn't help but be awed by the giant metropolis that greeted his eyes! everywhere he looked was so colorful and then there was the noises, the people with diferent and very noticeable quirks that walked by (it made him jealous again, but that jealousy was drowned by his enthusiasm and interest). However his mother seemed strange again.

She did smile at him like every time he got dazzled and awed by new experiences or whenever he got so focused in heroes and their quirks, but she was also looking like the actress of that old hero movie he saw once while mother was away...what was the name? Something to do with a spider and a red hourglass, he was sure.

Yeah, his mother looked like an underground movie hero in enemy territory.

Why was that? Mom was not a Pro-hero, (even if she was which would be like All-Might kind of level of cool!) so why would she look like that?. His thoughts were shaken away as he was directed by his mother through the maze that was the streets of Tokyo, and after walking so much that he was starting to get dizzy they finally stopped by a small building hiden between an alley and the shadows of the bigger complexes that dawrfed them from all sides.

The building looked not so different than some of the offices near back home, it was a matte gray building of two stories with closed windows and a big oppaque cristal door making him wonder if this was another of those private clinics that mother brought him often after that day. The only thing that made the whole building different was the simple simbol of a circle at the top of the door, which now that they both approached could see that it wasn't a simple circle at all, but rather it was a picture of a snake eating its tail.

It was awesome but it made him wonder if his mother just brought him to some sort of yakuza back alley clinic.

His notion of that was shattered completely by what greet him and his mother when they stepped into the building, all while his mother muttured something he was sure it was a swear word.

-"IIIIIIIIIINNNNNN-CHAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!"- a blur was all he saw before his mother moved him quite abruptly to the side making him loose his balance for a moment; however the dizzyness was nothing compared to just what his eyes were seeing after looking at his mother being smothered and twirled around by...his mother?

-"Bwaaaaaahhhh! In-chaaaaannnn I missed you sooo much! I can't believethatyou'refinallyhereafteralltheseyearsyoucan'treallyimaginejusthowdullithasbeenwithoutmybeastiethantherestiebutwhenFathercalledmebacksayingthatitwasimportantIneverimaginedthatitwouldbeYOUOMYSHOSHIMSOFREAKINGEXCITEDWAITTILLITELLTHEOTHERSITSGOINGTOBESOAWESOME!"- His mother's...doppelganger?twin sister? keep rubing her cheek against the slowly turning blue face of his mother all while he was still trying to make sense of what was he seeing.

The figure was just exactly like his mother, but whereas mom kept her hair in a long style the other mother look alike kept hers in a cut just a little above the shoulders. Oh and while her mother was dressed right now in dark colors the other woman was dressed in a green and white track suit which looked silly compared to the ofice-like aspect of the place.

And apparently he was too loud because the next thing he knew there was a pair of green eyes just like his own looking straight at him.

-"In-chan...why am I looking at a male chibi of you?"- The woman tilted her head and he almost thought that something passed so fast between them, he wanted to look back and to see what that thing was but suddenly his mother shoved him behind her while she let out an awkard laugh.

-"Well, perhaps if you gave me the chance to speak first...Izuku, this is...my sister...Inori, Inori this is Izuku...my child"- The mention that he had an aunt was enough to distract him of the sheer hostility that dripped from his mother voice as she seemed to threaten his aunt(Ohgodhehasanauntwhydidn'thewastoldhehasanaunt!?howishegoingtoreacttothishe'snotpreparedatallwhatifshedoesn'tlikehim!?).

-"Awww how cute he got our word vomit tendency!I want to pinch his wittle cheeks and hug him and cuddle him and never let him go ever!"- his...aunt? wiggled in her plase hugging herself, she seemed nice, if somewhat silly which made him giggle at her.

An ereaser wrapped in a faint green glow flew straight towards her forhead with a loud *SMACK* making her go cross-eyed and mutter 'I'm Dead!' silly face included, but thanks to little observation skills he barely managed to notice that the moment the ereaser hit her it didn't made contact with the skin, instead it hit some sort of transparent film like some sort of force field. Of course the Quirk Enthusiats in him would overpower his initial shyness.

-"Wow! Was that your quirk? The thing flew so fast but it didn't hit you really, it is a Force Field Quirk? or perhaps it's like mom's quirk but more inclined to repulse? but then why would it...?"-

Both senior greenettes blinked at him while he muttered and whatever animosity that seemed to be within them vanished like smoke in the air for the most part.

-"He really, relly gets our word vomit doesn't he?- Aunt Inori told his mother while she dusted herself and lifted her body from the floor in a swift motion, part of him noticing the same grace that he saw on Pro-heroes on the t.v.

-"I really hoped he didn't get that, it was so hard to get rid of that habit for me"- mom spoke of it in a tone that made him blush in embarrasment, but she simply ran a hand through his green locks and smiled at him, this time one of her true smiles and not the awkward ones from the train.

-"Well, it is adorable when he does it! But for real, your child? I tought that...since...well I never imagined that you..."- Whenever aunt Inori seemed like a really animated person at the beggining now she seemed serious if a bit awkard, what did she meant by that? Was there something wrong that he was his mother son? It made him really uncomfortable to think so now...

-"Yeah, but he's my child, I gavebirth to him, is that a problem Inori-nee?"- both his aunt and him shivered, though he was sure his aunt was just doing it for fun than for being geniunely scared.

-"N-no not at all! Jeez you're still scary as ever dear sister..."-His aunt smiled but it was the same not-really smile that his mother was wearing now, it really showed just how similar the two 'sisters' looked like at that moment.

-"I'm certainly feeling glad, welcome back my child"- a voice that seemed to cut through the air snaped both his aunt and mother from their staring contest, with the chreeful woman smiling back but snaping at attention like a cop or a soldier while his mother turned her body in front of him like trying to hid him from view.

It didn't help considering that there was only a word to describe the person that appeared in the quiet room.

-'H-h-huge!'- Izuku's eyes almost rolled out from his sockets as he looked at the giant of a man that towered both his mother and aunt, jeez he could barely reach the man's waist on his tip toes! and as his sheer height wasn't scary enough the man looked like he bench-pressed cars as a hobby, the black business suit making little to hid the corded muscles that tested the fabric of the clothes.

However the man's face wasn't scary at all; he looked just a few years older compared to his mother and aunt wich was strange considering he refered to his mother as a child and while he hid behind his mother's leg when he looked at him with one green eye (the other hidden behind pitch black hair) he seemed to smile faintly but geniunely.

Was this man...his granpa?

-"Inko, would you like to introduce us...?"- the man smiled at his mother seemingly amused with the silence, and while her mother looked like she ate one of aunt Mitsuki's homemade spicy rolls his aunt seemed to be having fun and mouthed at him something like 'Trouble'? ...Oh! perhaps she didn't call at home often just like Kacchan being scolded by auntie whenever they stayed late at the park.

-"Y-yes...Izuku,darling...this is...m-my father Kouga Hayato, father... this is my son, Midoriya Izuku"- from behind her legs, Izuku had no idea of what kind of face was her mother doing, but aparently his granpa seemed satisfied as he crouched to get on eye level with him, not that it helped much considering that Izuku still had to look slightly up so look at him in the eyes.

-"It's a pleasure to meet you at least, Izuku-kun"- The man ran a hand across his hair, ruffling it so a little bit playful but the interaction seemed to make his mother flinch for some reason.

-"L-likewise sir!"- he bowed at the waist not knowing how to really address him due to his kind attitude and his mother's behavior.

-"Now, now...non of that, you're my granson boy so if anything call me at least granfather or granpa if you like!"-.

-Inko P.O.V-

-"Well, come on, eat whatever you like! It's all on me!"- She gritted her teeths behind a smile as her son looked at the buffet table in awe, before making those unfair puppy eyes at her asking wordlessly if it was ok for him to eat something all while He looked at her smiling.

She felt like having a staring contest with a really big snake, gods she hated snakes...

-"Go ahead darling, j-just be careful with the hot plates please!"- And like that her baby flew straight to the part where they served katsudon making her smile against her wishes -'of course he would only grab Katsudon from a 5 stars buffet...'-

Her sister feeling the growing tension in the air excused herself saying that she would help her cute little nephew with the plates, but with the suspiciously low number of people with them besides the staff (some which she knew were not really part of the staff) it was easy to hear the grumblings from the beast that was her stomach.

-"He's a nice kid, reminds me of you on the good old days dear"- Her good mood evaporated along with her expresions as she steeled herself from what would be without a doubt a difficult situation for her.

-"You mean before Phase 2? I hope you're not implying what I'm think..."- The cutlery of the table shifted from their place as they all pinted at the elder man whom didn't seem alarmed, but his jovial expression turned into a neutral one tinged with hints of tireness.

-"Inko...I'm not expecting forgiveness from what happened...but all of you were told what were the risks"-

-"The risk, as you called them...did not implied that we would die an inhuman death!"- She wanted to shout, even as she forced her quirk from just lauch the knifes at his neck, but the memories of her brothers and sisters...the unfortunate ones that had to die as their quirks and their own bodies ripped themselves appart in what would generously be called a slow death.

-"You're right"- This brought her out from her anger, leaving her watching perplexed at the man she was sure would rather die on his feet than to admit he was wrong at anything. The pair of flint colored eyes that meeted her own were not completely the ones she remebre watching in a mix of fear, respect and begruging fondness during her younger days. Sure they were still firm and capable of stalling her with a look by sheer will alone but they seemed to be weighted down by regret.

-"We...no, I messed up by rushing the proyect, I'm man enough to admit it and the Doctor told me that there would be lesser risk if we did some test before but I was blinded by my pride, after all you were all perfect in my eyes Inko, all of you! You were always breaking my expectatives each time so why would I hold you all back? By the time I realised my mistake I've lost 75 out of my 150 children, blood related or not"- The sadness in his eyes seemed genuine enough to her, good enough to at least put most of her improvised weapons back into place.

-"My mistake cost us all very highly, and I'll regret it from the rest of my long life...but can you honestly say that the benefits were all in vain?"-

She flinched at his knowing glance towards her, or more specifically at her wrist hidden by the sleeves of her jacket where she keep a pair of custom made throwing knives just in case. After all before the torture that was Phase 1 she could barely lift a screw or anything weighting less than 10 grams...after surviving Phase 2 she could turn a reinforced metal sheet into swiss cheese with a handfull of metal marbles.

So yes, as much as she would like to deny it Phase 2 turned the survivors into something more.

-"Then why?"- The question right now seemed to mean many things like 'Why did you do it?''What do you want' but the one that seemed clear was 'Why bring my son into this?'.

-"Because I want to make things right, both for you and my grandson"- With a slow motion as if not to alarm her the moment she tensed expecting some sort of danger, Kouga brought a small tablet, encrypted no doubt, unlocking it with a motion too fast for her to notice before sliding it down towards her.

Looking at her son which seemed to argue about something silly with Inori judging by her silly face and her child comically nod (probably arguig about Katsudon being the best food ever) she judged that she had enough time considering they still hadn't moved to the dessert section. She grabbed the device and her eyes started to scroll through the archives that 'Father' wanted to show her with a mask of indiference. And with each page and picture that passed through her eyes she was having a really hard time keeping the mask.

-"This...!? Is this for real!?"- She looked in shock at the man that smiled demurely like the god damned bastard had not just turned her world on its own axis. If even a fraction of what she just readed was true then...

-"After Phase 2, we made greater breakthroughs thanks to the efforts of the good Doctor and her team; we ran the simulations over and over and each time the result would always had a 75% rate of success than previous programs including Phase 1 and 2. And the mortality rates were three times less than your generation, but there's even more than that as you have seen."- Hayato smiled at her before looking amused at the children (physically and mentally wise) balancing the plates of food while coming back to their table slowly.

-"...You can implant artificial Quirks"- The implications were not lost on her, she was still part of the Program and with her close relation with the Doctor she knew that the Council was interested in the Quirk of a person of interest, a villian that the goverment of Japan was trying really hard to supress the knowledge of form spreading but from them it may as well be an open secret.

All For One, she still remebered that was the name that the No.1 Villain at the time was going by. It was just a few days before she dropped the Program that she knew that the man was defeated by the now No.1 Hero All-Might. Or at least that was the official story...

-"Yes, you could say that thanks to some of your siblings best efforts we managed to procure some samples, from then the rest is history as some would say"-Hayato told her clearly enjoying her shock before taking the tablet from her hands and hiding it within his suit as the rest joined them at the table.

Her son brought her katsudon and iced tea while Inori seemed to bring most of the western themed plates for herself while leaving a plate of rib eyes for father. For her it was hard to do nothing more than smile and say a few words to her son while he talked animatedly about her aunt and her silly attitude much to said person mock outrage. But how else can she act when right here she had an opportunity to make things right by her son?. After minutes of forced polite conversation about menial things and watching her child converse very animatedly with his grandfather about heroes and quirks, she took her chance when Inori (god bless her deceptive yet helpful manners) took her children to the bathroom she turned her head to speak directly with the man that held her son dreams within the palm of his hands.

-"You knew my child is Quirkless, didn't you?"- He didn't say anything, just noded leaving it to her to kept the conversation.-"Then...-Bracing herself with a deep breath she asked what she knew would change them all for the better or the worst.

-"What do I have to do, to get my child a Quirk?"-

- Izuku P.O.V -

So far the day has been great! His aunt was awesome and told him that he was very smart by deducing most of her quirk calling him a smart scary child (he wasn't scary at all, Kacchan was scarier than him, hell a squirrel was scarier than him!) and his granfather Hayato-jiisan was really cool, just a bit kind of Kacchan-level of scary but without being a meany!.

After eating at the cool restaurant that seemed waaaay to expensive they got back at the office building, it made him a bit curious given that with his attitude and apparently well placed economical situation his granpa would have an office at the top of the very big buildings all around them instead of the little office in an alley.

Hayato-jiisan said that they had something really important to speak about him in his office, and it made him kind of nervous that neither her mother spoke a word or that her aunt looked somewhat excited about something.

They stepped into the deskfloor where a man with a strange mutant quirk which made him into some sort of mannequin-man typped something at the phone before things started to get really...really weird, like they we're sinking into the floor weird!.

-"It is us...or is this haunted place getting huuuugeeee~~~?"- Haunted!? Oh no...he didn't do ghost really well, Kacchan still teased him about the last halloween movie they watched a year ago and it wasn't really scary in Kacchan's opinion!

-"Must you do this every single time? Really?"- Her mother chastised her aunt who just pulled her eyelid and tongue down in a mocking gesture while Granfather placed a hand on his free shoulder as they decended what he could guess was a secret elevator of some sort...

-'Ohmygodgranpamustbesomekindofprohero!imgoingdowninasupersecretelevatorohgodohgodohgodwhatwillItellKacchan?'-

-"Deep breathes Izuku, you can panic later if you like"-Hayato-jii was no longer cool, well not really but he was Kacchan brand of meany and cool!.

After descending for what he guessed would be ten floors the elevator/floor stopped in front of a rather crowded hall where his childish face basically glowed when he saw a bunch of people in pro-hero like suit running around or flying in a few cases moving aroung while a map which seemed to be taken straigh out of an action movie showed a map in real time of not only Tokyo but from all the country.

His Granfather had a secret hero agency under his office...he was All-Might level of cool!.

Walking throught the place like he owned it (which, duh!) Izuku keep glancing in awe as anyone in their way bowed down respectfully and moved out of the way, sure some of the pointed at him and his mother and muttured something he counldn't make sense of but he didn't care right now!

-"Please take a seat, now Izuku I'm aware that your mother has taken you to see many doctors due your...condition"- He gulped down a bit out of nervousness at the tone of his granfather, was he disappointed in him that he didn't have a quirk? of course it was, the day seemed too good to be true.

-"Y-yes s-sir...I'm..q-quirkless"- he closed his eyes expecting either screams or perhaps a look of disgust like the teachers back at school when they made public his status as quirkless.

-"My boy, you have nothing to be embarrased about! I would not treat you less because you're quirkless you know? In fact it's just about why I would like to talk about it with you"- The man seated himself in a big leather chair behind a fancy desk made of polished wood, that and the metal plaque at the front with [DIRECTOR H. KOUGA] just seemed to hammer down the picture that this man, his granfather, was apparently a really important person and for some reason he wasn't dissapointed that his own grandson was quirkless.

-"Izuku, what would you think we're doing here?"- The question confused him a little but he did his best to give an honest answer.

-"I-I g-guess that this is a Pro-hero agency? D-do you work as a hero Hayato-jiisan?"- thanks to the flat screen behind his granfather desk he managed to make sense of the sounds that sounded at his back, apparently his aunt snorted and mom shoved her elbow really deep at his aunt sides, kind of like Kacchan when she made him stop mumbling.

-"'Pro-hero Agency?' Well, I guess thats certainly one way to see it...You see Izuku, I'm the Director of Ouroboros Initiative, you can say that we are responsable for making 80 percent of what one could call the true underground heroes, people that are the ones in charge of making the world safe behind scenes, have you ever seen a spy movie? we're kind of like that"- Izuku looked at the man open mouthed and looked back at his mother and aunt to see if this per chance was just a joke. His mother looked like she swallowed something nasty but she nodded and her aunt gave him a cheesy tumbs up.

-"B-b-but w-what does this have to do with me!? I-I'm s-sorry, I I mean its r-really a-awesome b-but why am I being told this?"- After all, he was just a kid without a quirk, and no matter how much this came really cross to one of his fantasy dreams of being related to a hero and join them to save people and beat bad guys he knew it was impossible!, so why?.

-"Because my boy, it has everything to do with you"- Hayato-jii crossed his arms under his chin fingers intercrossed making him seem even more intimidating if that was even possible-"We're not like most agencies that are know to have people with just flashy and obnoxious quirks...rather, we make more of a person with a seemingly minor quirk, take your mother and aunt for example! Did you know that by this world standars they would be called basically quirkless by most people?"- His mother and aunt? basically quirkless!? That was almost like saying All-Might was born quirkless!.

At the same time at I-Island, certain blond hero was panicking and asking for forgiveness at his surrogate niece after a sudden sneeze blew the house of cards she spended the whole day making.

-"Im not lying kiddo, at your age both your mother could barely move a feather and the forcefield of your aunt couldn't stop a mosquito"-He looked incredulous at his relatives with his mother flinching and aunt Inori mumbling about 'good-for-nothing bloodsuckers' with a dark expression -"However with some 'help' and training from the Initiative that changed rather quickly, did you know that your mother could've made All-might work a sweat back in the day?"-His Granfather seemed to enjoy breaking his notion of reality by the second.

-"NO WAY!?" REALLY!?"- If his eyes opened up he was sure he would get a quirk like Telescope with how big they were getting. It was making his head spin that his mother was some sort of super-upper mega secret pro-hero that would be in the same league as ALL-Might!

Forget about what he was thinking, right now someone could have told him in his face that All-Might's quirk was indeed passed down to him like a gift and he would totally belive it!.

Back again at I-Island, a very not-amused David Shield was glaring down daggers at the muscle headed idiot that not only made his little girl cry, but also sneezed in his face.

His mother seemed to flush and averted her eyes from her incredulous son as she mumbled that 'it wasn't that great' and aunt Inori huffing and saying that she could do the same...someday. It was official, some of the Katsudon at the restaurant was spoiled and he was hallucinating! There's no other explanation for this bizarre day!.

-"And recently we made some progress into not only upgrading minor quirks, but adding to them and in some special cases...granting quirks to the quirkless...So tell me my child, would you like to be a Hero?"- Izuku just mutely watched the face of his beyond cool granpa, at the hand he was offering to him and ignoring the face of his other and his aunt chanting 'Do It~, Do it~'m in the face of something like this, there was only a certain thing that his mind seemed to accept as a course of action at this point.

He fainted.

THE END.
