-Unknown Location in Japan 7:30 AM-

I like Japan, don't get me wrong, but I could go without the cops. -PSSHHHHHHH- A spray can goes off. I'm standing on a roof, spray painting a wall. I'm wearing my usual outfit of a pair of black jeans, a white hoodie, a blue vest over it. I have a chain wrapped around my forearm for easy access. My green beanie snugly fitted on my head and a pair of yellow rimmed goggles with a black strap and lenses.

I shake the can again and start spraying. I eventually finish and step back. I admire my vandalization. It's a mocking graffiti of Bakugou Katsumi. Her quirk is [Explosion], so I made an endearing image of a lit stick of dynamite wearing the female Aldera uniform. That's when I hear a feminine voice speak up from behind me, "Rowe-kun!" I turn around to see my best friend, Midoriya Izuki. I nod and smile. I jump down next to her

"Hey Midoriya-chan! Whats up?" She has long-ish green hair. She has wide emerald green eyes and 4 asymmetrical freckles under each eye. Don't tell her I said this, but she's actually my first crush too. The thing that makes her better in my opinion is that she is quirkless. Yeah, no powers. It makes me think of the pre-quirk era comic here Batman.

She shakes her head at me "R-Rowe-kun! Yo-You should really stop vandalization. You want to get into U.A. right?" She shakes her head kinda disappointedly.

I shrug and smile "I have not gotten caught yet!" I throw my hands in my pockets and look at my best friend. "Did you grab my uniform for me?" I ask her.

She nods "Y-yeah, it was at our house because you stayed the night." She starts walking away and I follow.

We continue walking in silence, but it is a peaceful silence. I eventually start swinging my chain in a circle at my hip. I look at the nice scenery of Musutafu, Japan and sigh. "Man, with all the villain attacks, I forget how nice this city is, y'know what I mean?" I look at her.

She shrugs "You know I like watching the villain attacks, they are so action packed it also gives the city a certain vibe"

"Yeah, I guess" I look around and I hear a rumbling in the distance. "What do you wanna bet that's a villain attack?" I say as I start jogging forward, Midoriya in quick pursuit.

We see a man who's… pretty big… causing trouble. He's destroying stuff and I spot many heroes at the site. I shove my hands in my hoodie pocket and mentally list the heroes at the scene 'Backdraft, Death Arms, that new guys probably showing up too. What's his name? Kamui Woods?' I start smoke dashing through the crowd. I appear quickly at the front and Midoriya squeezes through people.

She immediately has a fangirl smile on her face. I smirk at her reaction. I put in headphones to cover up the noise, starting to get a headache. The song is one of my favorite American songs, 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' by Green Day. I sing along with the lyrics quietly. The guy next to us says something to Midoriya, but I can't really read lips.

I hear a bunch of squeals, Midoriya not one of them, that even my music couldn't cover up. I look at the source of the noise to see 4 girls pointing at the sky with heart eyes. 'Oh boy… don't tell me' I look up to see Kamui Woods. I assume he says something, but his mask thingy kinda covers his mouth. He starts to use his special move. Good ol' whatchamacallit. I'll have to ask Midoriya later.

Then, a giant lady flies in. She kicks the dude in the fa- actually the whole body. She had horns and a skin tight suit from what I could see. I sigh, begrudgingly admitting to myself that was a surprising and flashy entrance. I'm not too big of a fan of heroes using their bodies to boost their popularity ratings. I could tell that this is what Ms. Blondie McTitan is attempting (and succeeding with every guy other than myself). That's why my hero costume consists of something low key.

I take out an earphone to look at Midoriya writing some stuff. "Hey what are ya writing? Lemme see!" I say trying to look. I smoke dash around her trying to catch a glimpse.

She holds it close to her chest to hide it "R-Rowe-kun! S-stop! You know I don't like showing my notes!" She blushes hard.

I laugh and rub her hair. The man just laughs and says "You two are so cute together!" Midoriya and I stop in our tracks. She waves her hands, trying to explain that's not what it is, and I simply just look down at the floor, wide eyed and red faced.

He laughs and we walk off. The song in my ears has already switched to '10/10' by Rex Orange County. I sing along quietly with the words to cool my nerves. "I had to think of my oldest friends. Now, I no longer hang with them, and I can't wait to be home again. I had a year that nearly sent me off the edge-" Eventually we reached school. I changed into my school uniform. I alway wear mine… below standard. I roll up my sleeves and re-wear the chain. I put my phone and headphones in my pocket and put my beanie back on.

I take my seat next to Midoriya. I look at her and smile. She blushes and looks away, no doubt thinking of what that man said earlier. I face forward and put my head down in my arms. I eventually drift off into sleep.

-Aldera Junior High 2:45 PM-

"Uh… is someone gonna wake him up? Preferably before the teacher shows up" Someone says. A snort comes from the sleeping student.

"I'm not doing it! Why doesn't his quirkless girlfriend do it?" Another student says.

A more feminine voice says "A-Ah! I-It's not like that!"

"Damn right it's not like that! That shitty Deku can't land anyone!" A groan from the sleeping student.

I sit up and look around "W-What?" I say groggily. That's right, I was the one asleep. You probably guessed that though. The girl who woke me up officially was Bakugou Katsumi, grade A bitch and the girl who is a living firecracker. She lives only to make Midoriyas' life a living hell. From what Midoriya has told me, the nickname 'Deku' comes from the kanji of 'Izumi'.

The door opens and the teacher walks in. "Nice of you to join us, Rowe. I really don't understand how you have an A in everything while you sleep." I merely shrug. He continues. "Now… I COULD hand out these career path forms." I nod. "But I know you all are going for the hero path anyways, so what's the point?!" He throws them up in the air.

The class lets loose their quirks ;'Irresponsible and stupid, but why not?' I think to myself. I blow paper off my desk. I then hear the feminine, aggressive, and prideful voice of Bakugou. "Hey teach! Don't lump me in with all these extras! They'd be lucky to end up and sidekicks to some Washed up D-Lister! The only other one in this crappy school who has a chance is Cigarette!"

"Thank you for the recognition, but can I have a different nick-" I start to say, but I am interrupted by a choir of boos and jeers.

"O-Ok then…" I mumble

The teacher speaks at the wrong moment "Oh, it looks like Bakugous aiming for U.A." The boos change to gasps of surprise.

Bakugou jumps onto her desk. "That's right! I aced all the mock tests! I'm one of the only ones good enough for U.A.!"

"Oh, it looks like Rowe and Midoriya have also applied."

'GOD DAMN IT TEACH!' I mentally yell and the color drains from Bakugou and the surprise once again changes. This time to laughter.

Bakugou lashes out at Midoriya! "DEKU!" She yells as she goes to explode Midoriyas' desk. A burst of smoke comes from my desk right before the explosion.

Next thing I know I'm laying on Midoriyas' desk, looking up at her with an immense pain in my chest, but I can already feel the wound mending itself (Side note, part of my quirk is that I have rapid healing.). I wink up at her and she immediately turns into christmas colors. I stand up and look at Bakugou. I smile, trying to stay easygoing. "Huh… that hurt for a sec…." I put my hand on her shoulder. "Listen. You really shouldn't do that. Go sit back down"

Somehow, it works. "W-whatever, Cig." She walks back to her desk and slumps back down.

I sit back down at my desk and look at the hole in front of my uniform. I sigh and look at Midoriya. "T-Thank you, Rowe-kun.".

I nod. "No problem, Midoriya-chan" I lay my head down on my desk.

-Aldera Junior High 3:15 Pm-

So, I was filled in on this by Midoriya. Here goes.

So, I told Midoriya I was gonna use the bathroom, and I'd be back soon. Bakugou watched me leave and her and her lackeys walked up to Midoriya. "Hey, were not done Deku!" She snatches up the shorter girls notebook.

"Haha, Kacchan… give it back please…" She says trying to reach for it. Bakugou pushes her down and looks at the notebook. "Hero Analysis For The Future #13?!" She brings it between both of her palms and explodes the notebook, burning the edges. That made Midoriya yelp. She then throws it out the window. Midoriya chances after it. "You know Deku, there is a simple way you could get a quirk…" Silence from the emerald child. "You could pray for a quirk in your next life and take a swan dive from the roof of a school."

Midoriya turns around angry, only to be instantly afraid when Bakugou raises her hand. They turn to leave and her lackeys say stuff like "You would have thought she'd have more fight in her!"

I leave the bathroom to see them leaving the class. I grimace knowing something's up. I walk into the classroom and see Midoriya by the window. I walk over and hug her "What did they say…" She shakes her head. "Tell me…"

She gives in "They… she…. Told me to- to kill myelf."

'OH. FUCK. NO.' I shake my head. "Fuck her. She doesn't even deserve to be near you." She just nods. "Lets go get your notebook...:"
