New chapter! Thank you to my very first reviewer. Though anonymous, you will always hold a special place in my heart. *starts crying dramatically*
Alright, so if you haven't read my profile yet, I'm actually an anime only person. Right now, I'm rewatching AOT and currently reading the manga alongside it as well. Believe it or not, it's still quite difficult to piece things together. Perhaps I'm just uncultured.
Guess I'm gonna keep going with this until it's complete. Who knows how long this could take? I hope everyone enjoys the ride!
Here goes...
The lumbering body of a 10 meter titan easily dwarfed his smaller form.
His eyes widened.
"What the hell is that thing!?" he exclaimed disgustedly.
He was, for the most part, surprised and appalled, but also partly curious. Its ki signature was fairly weak, and it had much less compared to his. The... thing's body frame resembled that of a human's, but any and all similarities stopped there.
From what he could see, it was naked, its face held a plain smile, giving him vibes in a creepy sort of way, and it had no evident reproductive organs. Furthermore, its limbs were abnormally long, and its torso had too much mass, throwing it off balance, resulting in an awkward and shuffled gait of walking. He noticed that it was actually quite fast, despite its slow movements. Probably due to longer limbs, he concluded. He didn't know how much muscle it had to be moving like that.
As it got closer to his floating body, it reached out its hands in an attempt to grab him. He drifted backwards, keeping out of its range.
"What kind of creature are you, and what do you want with me?" he questioned.
It gave no sign of understanding his speech, so therefore there was no response given.
It kept coming, shuffling closer to him, so he started leading it in a big circle around the clearing they were in, keeping himself suspended in the air.
"Hello? Anybody home?" he yelled this time.
Still no response. It just continued walking towards him, keeping a hand greedily outstretched, probably trying to grab him, he guessed.
"Well then, if you won't answer to words, let's see how you answer to pain!" he said, raising a hand and charging some ki.
A small orb materialized in front of his palm, as he concentrated on his target.
"Take this!"
The small orb rocketed forwards at a decent speed and hit the thing in the face, detonating on impact. It was a standard ki blast, nothing special, just meant to test the creature. It sent out a roar of pain, a guttural yell that made him squint his eyes in annoyance. Whatever the thing was, it was certainly heavy. It hadn't slowed in its advance at all. The smoke from the miniature explosion parted quickly, revealing his attack's effects on the thing. A large scorch mark was present on its face, but started healing quickly.
He blinked, doing a double take. It could regenerate? He growled in anger and glared at the monster's face. His attack had only served to anger it at best, seeing as the wound had already faded. Seeing a form of regeneration had reminded him of Buu, bringing a dark expression to his face. This thing had to be taken out, if it that was even possible.
He decided to try something else. Perhaps a stronger attack would do.
Holding his palm out again, he quickly charged up a larger, more concentrated and powerful ki orb.
"Big Bang Attack!" he yelled. The attack shot forward at a much higher velocity this time around, and a huge explosion erupted as his attack found its mark.
Its head and neck were blown clean off, leaving nothing behind as his attack vaporized the entirety of its face. The creature fell forwards, hitting the ground with a violent thud and sending a small tremor throughout the forest. Some birds were startled, flying away to find a new perch elsewhere. He paid them no heed, continuing to stare at the creature on the ground. It remained lifeless there. It was quickly evaporating, much to his surprise, and no longer showed any sign of its previous regeneration abilities.
His glare turned into a smirk of triumph.
"Hmph. So once your head is gone, you're not a threat anymore. And you dissolve too. How pathetic." He scoffed.
Now that the immediate threat had been dealt with, what should he do now? Perhaps flying higher would reveal some secrets. He followed through with the thought, going higher until he broke through the forest canopy above.
His first impressions? Not that impressive. The land was mostly barren, with some forests spread throughout it. He also noticed a single running river, but what caught his attention was the large number of creatures, similar to the one he'd just killed. Not only were they spread out everywhere, they all varied in forms, shapes, and sizes. Some of them even had to crawl on all fours just from how demented their bodies were.
"There are more of them? Damn, what even is this place? Was I sent here for punishment or something?" he questioned. "I need answers, somehow..."
Still in the air, he turned around and his breath hitched.
A wall! And a large one at that. Looking closer, he could see that it was tall and curved, most likely surrounding something.
...Perhaps there would be a civilization he could intimidate? Heh. Okay, jokes aside, this was a miraculous find. Seriously, all things considered, he'd probably just found himself a source of food, and information about where he was. That would be if any form of life behind this wall was even friendly. Worst case scenario, he wouldn't even be able to speak with said possible inhabitants.
His stomach suddenly growled, startling even more birds and even himself. He quickly caught himself, his surprised expression reverting to his signature permanent scowl.
"Guess I'd better hurry."
I'll admit I'm having a really hard time trying to find and decide the point in time during AOT where Vegeta will start meeting characters.
Should this be set sometime during season one? Or maybe season two? Most likely not season three, though.
His influence on the events of this world will be pretty major. I mean, he's a Saiyan, so a full strength Vegeta would take away any advancement. He would just be so OP that everything would work out perfectly. Nerfing him is a required given in this situation, and even then, he's still insanely strong by human standards.
Remember the punching machine? The strongest humans had trouble achieving good scores while he just sent it flying with absolutely zero effort. So for this case, I felt I had to link his ki to his power potential. Less ki would equal less strength. He'll have to rely on his muscles more than ki, meaning he's still extremely strong, and I can tell you now that his ki abilities are still there. He will still awe the world.
When I said I gave him less ki, it just means he has less to work with. Ki abilities are less in power since he has less of it to work with. Get it?
Basically, slower flying (still fast as hell compared to everyone else though), and he still has his arsenal of special attacks, but he'll use lower intensity blasts (he wouldn't exhaust his entire ki supply with a single Final Flash or something, would he?). Vegeta's a smart fighter, and this has been proven many times in his series. He has the ability to analyze and fight smart, not to mention that he's just plain tough.
Although those things are considered nerfs, he will still - like I mentioned earlier - impact the AOT world/events a lot. In any case, he's an awesome character and I really hope I can do him justice.
Review. Feel free to criticize, it will definitely help me improve my writing, and like I said last time, you guys have the ability to influence my story a bit.
If you want to see what I'm up to, I update my profile a lot. I'll see you next chapter!
