Hello once again!I have changed the plot and merged another story of mine to this, since I found it hard to progress the story on a single storyline.
I hope you enjoy this version better.
As I have stated before, many things on this story isn't the same as the book, so please don't be confused when you see differences, since there will be a lot.
Disclaimer:A Song of Ice and Fire belongs to George R.R. Martin.
I HAVE MADE IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE FIRST CHAPTER, IF YOU HAVEN'T RE-READ IT, IT MIGHT CAUSE CONFUSION.
"Oh, Mother, are you alright?! We were so worried! Why didn't you tell us that we were having another sibling?! Why where you crying?!"
Sansa asked her mother the moment she opened her eyes. Arya hit her in the head. Not hardly, of course, just to warn in her manner. She was scared too, but she knew that it wasn't the time for questions.
"Shut up, you stupid! Can't you see she cannot answer you?!"
"Arya, watch your language."
Her mother managed to say in a weak tone. But she was acting stupid! She wanted to object but she didn't, only shared a few sassy stares with her older sister who looked as she despised her. Meanwhile, his father went closer and held her hand.
"Are you better, my love?"
She just nodded and turned her head to the opposite side where Robb and Bran was standing. She first smiled a little and then caressed Bran's long hair, then took his eldest son's hand and held it tight.
Robb went down to her knees and put her other hand to his mother's cheek.
"Mother..."
"I'm alright."
She interrupted. She pulled her hand away from Father's and put them into Sansa's hair instead.
She had long auburn hair like her mother, always brushed and well-made, just like a lady, and unlike her. She had inherited the Stark looks, and she was happy about it. She was not a Lady anyway.
"I was just a little tired because of the baby,"
She lied. Arya knew she was lying. Why would she cry so hysterical that she would faint if she was just tired?
"And about your sibling,"
she said as she put her hand on her belly.
"I wanted to let your Lord Father know first."
Mother and Father probably argued, she thought. She knew that her mother would only call him their "Lord Father" in formal occasions. But they were just family there.
"Mother, why can't we go to the Royal Wedding? I really want to see the new queen!"
Even though she was her sister, she sometimes wanted to strangle her. Their mother were just getting better, and this was the only thing Sansa was thinking about?
"Sansa, can't you just shu-"
"I believe it's not to talk about this right now, sweet sister."
Jon interrupted Arya. Her mother smiled to Jon to thank him in a way.
She does love Jon, Arya thought. But in a different way than she loves us. She isn't trying to replace her mother, but trying to fill the blank space in his heart.
"You shall go to the Main Hall for supper, children. I will follow you later."
They all nodded and left the room one by one. Before she left, Arya glanced at her parents once more, only to see that Mother was pulling his hands of hers. She turned to see that their sibling were already gone, so she decided to listen just a little.
"I was so worried, Cat."
Her father said in a soft voice.
"I'm fine."
She replied to him, but in a cold voice unlike his father's.
"Catelyn, I-"
"I can't believe you did this to me."
Arya wondered what father had done to make her so mad. His father didn't answer.
"I really thought you were a man of honour."
Did he betray her? No, father wouldn't do such thing. Or would he? He did it once, why wouldn't he do it again?
As she was deep in thought, a hand took her. She wanted to defend herself but the man wouldn't let go. She looked at him and when she realized that it was Jon she sighed in relief.
"We were looking for you everywhere, Arya! And it's really bad manners to eavesdrop on your parents."
"I think they argued."
She said while walking to the Great Keep.
"They don't have to agree in everything, sweet sister. They will get over it."
"But I think Father did something that made her mad."
Jon stopped. He knew where this conver was going.
"Like what?"
Arya was hesitant. She knew it would hurt him to talk about this.
"Like...Like something he did years ago."
She said, she tried to be as kind as possible not to hurt Jon. But it did touch him. He let go of her hand.
"Father is a man of honour, he won't do such thing."
"But he did and brought you here."
Arya quickly said but immediately regretted what she said.
"Jon, I..."
"It's okay, Arya."
He interrupted her. She looked at his grey eyes, the Stark classic, and understood that she had hurt him.
"Let's start eating before Father comes."
He added, and they quickly sat.
"Where were you Arya?!"
Her sister said with her annoying voice. She really couldn't stand her.
"I found her in her chamber, Sansa. There is nothing to worry about."
Jon said before she could even answer.
"You should have told us, Arya."
She was going to answer her but then she saw her father coming so she didn't reply again.
He looked...Sad and tired. He proably didn't sleep the night before.
"Are you alright, Father? Is there something wrong with Mother?"
Robb asked her father with worry. He must have noticed his face as well.
"She is good, Robb. I was just...Worried."
"I understand."
said Robb while he nodded. But there was something more, and she knew it, Arya thought.
"Mother!"
A voice yelled. When they all looked at where Sansa, the one who yelled, they saw Catelyn coming to the table.
"My Lady, you should have stayed in our chamber and rest,"
Father told her softly. But once again, she was cold as ice.
"I said I'm fine, Ned."
She quickly sat and started eating with the family.
Arya kept staring at her half empty plate. She was full, so a little game wouldn't be so bad, right? She took the plate to her hands, and pretended the plate slipped away from her hands. As she was hoping, it landed on Sansa's dress, her favourite one, and she immediately let out a scream. Arya couldn't keep her laughter but her Lady Mother wasn't happy about it. As she was trying to ignore her mother's angry stares, Robb came and took her out of her seat. It was already late, so she didn't mind going to bed.
"That was for you being so stupid!"
she yelled to Sansa before Robb took Arya to her chamber.
"Mother's going to be mad."
He said while she got ready for bed.
"She already is to Father."
Arya replied. Robb was confused.
"What?"
"I wasn't at my chamber, and I might have listened to Mother and Father a little bit."
She confessed.
"Arya, you know that's not a good thing to do."
"I know, I know...But I just, I was curious. Father did something, something bad."
Robb just shrugged it off.
"It's normal to disagree with someone's opinions, sister."
"But what if it's so bad that Mother questioned his honour?"
He was speechless.
"I'm worried, Robb. She's been so cold to him, cold as ice."
He caressed her brown her to calm her down.
"I'll talk to Mother. They will get over it, eventually."
Arya nodded and closed her eyes to go to sleep.
I would be really happy to learn about your opinions of the story!
