My alarm had woken me up when I looked at Allisons bed she was gone. I then went back to sleep a while later dad came in with his pans and started banging them together "wake up Claudia first day of school and you don't want to be late" he said as he then left the room.
At breakfast, I walked downstairs and ate some waffles and Allison walked downstairs in a new outfit she was wearing all black with black lipstick and dyed black hair. We were both shocked "what", she said as dad looked at her " what the hell are you wearing , you are not going to school with short skirt like that", shouted dad as I grabbed the carton of juice out the fridge
"Claudia get a glass" he snapped as he then went back to shouting at Allison "wearing something like that it can cause trouble " he said as grabbed a piece of toast. Dad was giving us a pep talk "right girls a few rules and other things he are your house keys don't lose them. Allison be nice to people Claudia if you are feeling anxious call me ok" he said as we nodded and he about to leave the house when he rembered "oh and here is your adarall dont take too much ok remember what happened last time" he said as he left the house.
When we got to school there were loads of people walking into school i spotted Veronica "Hay Veronica" I yelled as we ran over to them "you going to see Betty?" I asked as we followed her.
When I walked inside we saw Betty who was waiting for us "Riverdale High first opened its doors in 1941" said Betty as she took a breath "and hasn't been redecorated since apparently" said Veronica as I laughted "Honestly, I feel like I'm wandering through the lost epilogue of Our Town" said Kevin
"So what's the social scene like here?" asked Veronica as we were walking around "Any night clubs?" Veronica asked. "A strip club called the Ho Zone," i said as Kevin butted in "and a tragic gay bar called Innuendo," he said as i smiled
" Friday nights, football games and then tailgate parties at the Mallmart parking lot," said Kevin and " And Saturday night is movie night, regardless of what's playing at the Bijou, and you better get there early, because we don't have reserved seating in Riverdale," i said.
"And Sunday nights Thank God for HBO" finished Kevin as i looked at him "game of throne," we said at the same time Betty then introduced her "Veronica Lodge, Kevin Keller," she said
Our first lesson was math so betty showed us to class after about 5 minutes the tannoy went on and the principal was speaking but it was a girls voice.
"Thank you for that moment of silence many of you were lucky enough to have known my brother personally, each and every one of you meant the world to Jason," said Cheryl "I loved my brother he was and always will be my soulmate so I speak with the confidence only a twin could have Jason wouldn't want us to spend the year mourning, Jason would want us to move on with our lives. "Which is why I've asked the School Board not to cancel the Back-to-School semi-formal," she said as they all cheered.
Me and Allison were looking at different outfits to wear to the semi-formal. Allison held up one of her pink dresses with a bow on "maybe not" i said as i found the right outfit. it was a green jumpsuit that i had in my wardrobe and Allison wore that pink dress with a bow.
When we got there we went inside "well, it's not the Met Ball" said veronica "Hay" me and Betty said at the same time as we were the onse who decorated the place. Betty then went off with Archie "When do you have to let Coach Clayton know about football? " Betty asked as i smiled at them "this weekend" he said.
as veronica then turned to us as we were getting a drink "guys can't we just liberate ourselves from the tired dichotomy of jock/artist can't we, in this post James Franco world, be all things at once?" she said as i was looking at the boy that was sat at the table he had a brown hair and blue eyes and he was really tall, he was in my freshman year.
Veronica said that she was going to she then turned to Betty "You got this" i knew what she was on about Betty has developed some kind of crush on Archie. I had gone with veronica to get a drink Betty and Archie were having a convocation "It's about following your heart, right and what does your heart say music or football?" she said as Archie spotted miss Grundy "Betty, will you give me one minute And I promise, when I get back, I'll be a much better date" he said as he then walked away.
When Archie came back they were slow dancing "um Now that I'm a River Vixen and you're gonna be on varsity football, I have this fantasy of us as a power couple or maybe even just a couple"Betty said as Archie looked kinda shocked and so was I. Betty was really upset and she ran out of the room i followed her out and pulled a face at him "Betty wait" i said as we went to grab a drink. We then ended up a Cheryl's house to place seven minutes in heaven first it was me and the guy i really like his name was Miguel. we then got picked for the seven minutes in heaven.
After the seven minutes in heaven we were on our way home when we could hear Archie arguing with Betty who looked very upset and like she had been crying. "I'm not going to ask what you did with Veronica at Cheryl's" she said as i was stood there in silence "but I'm asking you now, right now, if you love me, Archie or even like me?" she said as more tears were rolling down her face.
"Of course I love you, Betty but I can't give you the answer you want" he said as looked at the ground "why?"she said as we ran up to our room dad was sat with uncle scott "hayy girls did you have fun?" asked as we ran up stairs "yeah it was grate dad" we said as we got to the window as we hers more of the convosation.
"You are so perfect" he said as she was smiling a bit "but I've never been good enough for you, I'll never be good enough for you" he said as she back into her house crying and Archie was really upset too.
