Tombstone
In a gang hideout, some group of thugs are hanging around, with their leader sitting in a chair, counting the money. Couple of thugs came in and hands him the money.
"So, he paid up?"
"Yeah, he was a little behind, but he paid up. We left him some broken fingers to remind to pay in full next time."
"Good."
They then hear gunshots as well as some punches.
'What is that? Go check it out."
One of the thugs goes to see what is going on. The boss and his thugs wait until they hear the thug screaming until it stopped. The boss got his gun ready, so did the thugs.
"Who ever you are, you messed with the wrong guy."
They then see a muscular man entering with albino skin with red eyes wearing only black pants.
"What? Is that anyway to treat an old friend?" Tombstone said.
That voice sounded familiar to the boss.
"Lonnie? Lonnie Lincoln, is that you? I thought you were-"
"Dead? The old Lonnie died when you left me for dead back at that chemical plant we've raided. But what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Now that I'm back, I'll take over from here." Tombstone said.
"There is no way my men will follow a freak."
"We'll see about that." Tombstone said.
The boss hold up his gun as Tombstone gets a little closer, he shot a bullet at him, but he survived. Everyone is surprised that Tombstone can endured a shot from a gun and not feel it.
"That didn't hurt. Didn't feel anything." Tombstone said.
The boss tries to fire again until Tombstone caught his wrist and twisted it, breaking it. The boss screamed in pain.
"You should've giving up your gang when you've got a chance... now you've got no chance." Tombstone said.
Tombstone punches the boss in the face so hard and strong as the thugs watches him killing their boss. He stopped punching as the boss is dead, his fist gotten bloody from the boss' face.
"Now that your boss is dead, you guys need a new leader. I nominate myself, any objections here?" Tombstone said.
The thugs know better than to go against Tombstone, they've pledge their new allegiance to him.
"We'll follow you, Mr. Lincoln."
"Lonnie Lincoln is dead,... call me Tombstone. Oh, and get some boy to clean up this mess." Tombstone said looking at the beaten corpse.
At Midtown High, school just ended as Gwen Stacy is walking out with her best friend Sally Avril, she is a black haired female with brown eyes.
"So you've met with Peter Parker? That same Peter Parker you liked?" Sally said.
"That be the one." Gwen said.
"Great, this is your chance to get closer, maybe he'll start to take interest in you." Sally said.
"Sally, he only sees me as a sister. Besides I think he still thinks about Mary Jane." Gwen said
"Didn't you say they've broken up? Meaning he is single. Come on Gwendy, look at yourself, you are just as beautiful as Mary Jane Watson. You just need to be confident" Sally said.
"Confident?" Gwen said.
"Yes, be confident. You have a chance, if you don't take it you'll may never get another chance again." Sally said.
Gwen and Sally continues to walk down the street. Gwen thinks that she needs to talk to Peter about how she feels, but can she. She'll have a chance as she is needed for her internship at ESU today.
Captain Stacy came by as there is a crime scene in an alley with a dead body. Carlie Cooper is a 24 year old CSI working.
"Cooper, what do we have here?" George Stacy said.
"See for yourself" Carlie shows the body.
The body is revealed to be pummeled by someone so strong.
"Whoa." George Stacy said.
"Yeah, whoever did this isn't worried about an open casket. But the way it's done with so much force means we're not dealing with a normal guy." Carlie said.
"So we have another enchanted criminal out there. And him?" George Stacy said.
"He had some ID on him." Carlie said as she gives him the ID.
"I know this guy, he's a local gang lord that sells drugs. Guessing he got replaced by someone new." George Stacy said.
George then sees Spider-Man swing in and lands down.
"Hello, Captain Stacy. Just happened to be in the neighborhood, see if I can help." Peter said.
"Normally I would just say leave this to the professionals, but we may need your help." George Stacy said.
"With what?" Peter said.
"A new player, someone very strong like you." George Stacy said.
"An enchanted?" Peter said.
"And a killer. Be extra careful." George Stacy said.
"Sure will. Thanks for the heads up." Peter said.
Spider-Man swings away as Captain Stacy sees Carlie Cooper smiling.
"What?" George Stacy said.
"Nothing. I think that he looks hot." Carlie said smiling.
"Back to work, Cooper." George Stacy said.
Carlie got back to work.
At the criminal hideout, everybody gathers around as Tombstone talks.
"Listen up, everyone. I know that we are small but that will all change as we began to expand our network and take over the city." Tombstone said.
"With due respect, boss. You're talking about taking out the other gangs. There are still the other crime families, including Silvio Manfredi and the Kingpin who are the top crime bosses of New York."
"Yeah, even if you could take them on, there is the biggest issues of all, Spider-Man."
"You know what I've learned, if you want to be at the top, then take out the top dog. Everyone in New York worships that webhead. So this is what we're going to do, take out Spider-Man and use his defeat to rally every gang to our side." Tombstone said.
'That not a bad plan, but... how are we going to find him?"
"Easy, he has weakness for saving lives that he can't ignore. So we're going to draw him out, and I know just how to do that." Tombstone said.
Peter and Gwen are at Connor's lab working as interns. Peter notice that Gwen is being all quiet that she normally is. Gwen is think about what Sally said about her taking a chance with Peter but she is still shy about what to say.
"Gwen? Gwen!" Peter said.
"Huh? What?" Gwen said.
"Are you okay?" Peter said.
"Yeah, I'm just... thinking about... somethings." Gwen said.
"Like?" Peter said.
"Well, there is... this guy." Gwen said.
"A guy?" Peter said.
"Yeah, anyway I have this crush on this guy." Gwen said.
"You like someone?" Peter said.
"I do, but he doesn't even noticed, and I don't know what to say." Gwen said.
"Gwen, I use to be like that when I was in high school. Just a science geek who was shy in speaking to girls." Peter said.
"But you did, you even got to date Liz Allan, Flash's ex for a few month. Then you and Mary Jane got together." Gwen said.
"Yeah, but that didn't last. The point is, you need to take a chance and tell that person how you feel. Even if he doesn't feel the same, life goes on. You might find someone who will take interest in you." Peter said.
"You think so?" Gwen said.
"I know so... you're beautiful." Peter said.
"Thank you." Gwen smiles.
"For what?" Peter said.
"For being my friend." Gwen said.
"Always." Peter said.
Peter's phone rang, it's Mary Jane. Gwen couldn't tell Peter that the guy she has a crush on is him.
"Mary Jane, I'm surprised that you're calling me. This is the first time in a few months." Peter said.
"Actually, I'm calling on behalf of your aunt since she is going to be busy tonight." Mary Jane said.
"So no dinner tonight? Well, it would have been nice to spend some time with her." Peter said.
"So how are things with you?" Mary Jane said.
"Well I'm here with Gwen and Dr. Connors working, and I'm on time so that's a first." Peter said.
"Wish you could've done that more often when we were together." Mary Jane said.
"So do I, MJ. So do I." Peter said.
Peter still thinks about Mary Jane, how every time he is always late, it strains their relationship. He then hears gunshots in the phone.
"Mary Jane, what's wrongs?" Peter said.
"Some guys just came in shooting in the air. They've got the doors blocks. Peter, call the..." Mary Jane said as her phone got hanged up.
"Mary Jane? Mary Jane!" Peter said.
"Peter, what's wrong?" Dr. Connors asked.
"Something happened at F.E.A.S.T. I'm sorry, I have to go." Peter said.
"Alright, go." Dr. Connors said.
"Gwen, call you dad and let him know that there is hostage situation at F.E.A.S.T." Peter said.
"Okay." Gwen said.
Gwen pulls out her phone from her purse and calls her dad, Captain Stacy. Peter left the lab and found a place to change. He got the top of the building and swings away, hoping he can get to Aunt May and Mary Jane in time.
Mary Jane and May Parker are held hostage at F.E.A.S.T. along with everyone else as Tombstone and the gang took over.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the rude entrance we've made. We have no interest in hurting any of you." Tombstone said.
"What do you want? This is a homeless shelter, there is no money to steal." May said.
"We do not want money, Ma'am." Tombstone said.
"Then what do you want?" May said.
"That's simple lady, Spider-Man." Tombstone said.
"Spider-Man?" May said.
That's right. If he come and everything goes as planned, then you're all free to leave. But if he doesn't, then we'll have execute a hostage every hour he doesn't come until he comes." Tombstone said.
Tombstone and the gang hears sirens coming.
"You hear that, someone called the cops. Keep them busy." Tombstone orders.
Outside of F.E.A.S.T. Captain Stacy and a group of squad cars and a SWAT van came. The gang started to fire off their guns, having the cops pinned.
"Shots fired! Advised, there are hostages inside, be advised!" George Stacy said.
Spider-Man swing by and sees the police keeping the gang busy, they'll buy him some time to save the hostages, including May and Mary Jane. He snuck inside from the rooftop, making his way inside. He took out some gang members on his way. He then sees hostages being held up in the gymnasium, he even see the gang leader Tombstone.
"So he hasn't come yet, I'll have to kill someone here." Tombstone said.
"Stop!" Spider-Man jumps down as Tombstone sees him. "You want me, I'm right here."
"Spider-Man, right on time." Tombstone said.
"And you are?" Spider-Man said.
"The name is Tombstone." Tombstone said.
"Tombstone? Never heard of you." Spider-Man said.
"You will, everyone will. Then again you won't live to remember." Tombstone said.
Spider-Man webs up Tombstone, but he caught the web and pulled Spider-Man in. Spider-Man was able to jump and dodged Tombstone's punch. He does a axe kick but Tombstone caught him and tossed him down. He then kicked Spider-Man with all his strength, he felt the pain.
"Ow, this guy is stronger than I thought. He is as hard as stone, or tombstone. Really, jokes now." Spider-Man said in his thoughts.
Tombstone see Spider-Man trying to recover and was about to attack until he got hit by a chair, it was Mary Jane who hit him.
"Mary Jane." Spider-Man said.
"You've got fire in you, I like it." Tombstone said as he looks at Mary Jane, how lovely she is. "Have you ever been with a criminal? Some people are turned on by it."
He gets closer to Mary Jane.
"Don't you dare!" Mary Jane said.
She slapped him in the face hard, but she ended up hurting herself, his skin is hard as stone.
"OW!" Mary Jane said.
"Is that the best you got, babe. Hit me again, harder." Tombstone smiled.
Spider-Man came in a punched him harder, seeing Tombstone flying.
"Be careful what you wish for." Spider-Man said as turns his attention towards Mary Jane. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, thank you." Mary Jane said.
"Sure." Spider-Man said.
Tombstone recovered and got back up, he is bleeding from the lips. Guess even Spider-Man's strength is enough to hurt him. Spider-Man froze as he has Mary Jane so close, he see Tombstone back on his feet.
"Excuse me." Spider-Man said.
He and Tombstone are face to face, about to fight. His webbing won't work against Tombstone so he'll need to rely on his powers and skills in martial arts. Tombstone throws a punch, but Spider-Man counters with a quick strong punch. Tombstone got his senses back and punches again, Spider-Man does the pendulum steps to pull back, he punches Tombstone again and execute a knee strike to the gut. Tombstone does a sweep kick, but Spidey does a acrobatic dodge.
"Not bad, let me guess, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, and Capoeira. You have some training." Tombstone said.
"Had a good teacher." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man charges in and jumps, he lock his knees on Tombstone's head and strikes both of his elbows to his head. He took out Tombstone, he watches him fall down unconscious, he then webs Tombstone up. Some SWAT officers came in and aim there guns at the thugs.
"Put your weapons down!"
The gang listened and dropped their weapons as they surrendered. Mary Jane got close to Spider-Man to see how he is doing.
"Are you alright, Spider-Man?" Mary Jane said.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Spider-Man said.
"Is he...?" Mary Jane said.
Spider-Man and Mary Jane see Tombstone moaning in pain.
"No, just out cold. By the way, thanks for helping out back there." Spider-Man said.
"No problem." Mary Jane said.
Mary Jane then gave Spider-Man a look at him, she can't figure out but some is familiar about him, like she knows him from somewhere.
"What?" Spider-Man said.
"You seem... familiar. Do I know you?" Mary Jane said..
"Yes... I mean no... I mean yes, of course you know me. I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Spider-Man said.
Mary Jane can't ignore the feeling that he is lying about something, she felt connected to him somehow. Spider-Man then sees Captain Stacy coming in with some officers.
"Captain Stacy, here is the criminal Tombstone for you to take." Spider-Man said.
"Thank you. Spider-Man." George Stacy said.
The officers got an unconscious Tombstone up and carried him away to be locked up.
"Well, I gotta go." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man left F.E.A.S.T. as May and Mary Jane watches him swing away, everyone is grateful that Spider-Man saved their lives.
Later at F.E.A.S.T., Peter came to check on May and Mary Jane.
"Aunt May!" Peter ran to her.
"Peter!" May said.
Peter and May hugged each other.
"I'm glad that you're alright, Aunt May." Peter said worried.
"I'm fine, Peter. Spider-Man came in and saved us all." May said.
"He sure did." George Stacy said.
"Captain Stacy, I'm glad that Gwen called you." Peter said.
"Not as glad that Spdier-Man arrived just in time. As if he knew there was danger here." George Stacy said.
"Yeah, that's quite a coincidence." Peter turns to May. "Where is Mary Jane?"
"She is getting her hand check up in the infirmary." May said.
"Okay, I'll go check on her." Peter said.
George sees Peter walk away, he is suspicious of Peter since he is the only photographer who takes pictures of Spider-Man and that Spider-Man arrived as Peter got the news that F.E.A.S.T. is in trouble. If there is one thing he learns as a police captain is that there is no such thing as coincidence. He suspects Peter knows more about Spider-Man than he is telling.
Peter arrived at the infirmary to see Mary Jane have her wrist bandaged and with ice covering it.
"Mary Jane." Peter said.
"Peter, what are you doing here?" Mary Jane said.
"I came to see Aunt May and to see you. What happened to you?" Peter said.
"I slapped Tombstone in the face, but ended up injuring my hand. They say it'll be fine in a few days." Mary Jane said.
Peter came closer and got the ice off.
"May I?" Peter said.
Mary Jane nodes her head. Peter massages her hand as to make her feel better, she felt comfortable with his touch. She missed having Peter so close, she still thinks that what she felt for Peter has never gone away. Peter then looks at Mary Jane's face, she still beautiful as ever. Whenever he is close to her, his heart beats. They have their eyes locked on each other, they leaned their heads closer until they stopped.
"Uh, Peter." Mary Jane said.
"Yeah." Peter said.
"My hand is feeling a little better now." Mary Jane said.
"Oh, right." Peter said.
Peter lets go off Mary Jane's hand. They both got back to their senses.
"I should go and check on May." Peter said.
"Okay." Mary Jane said.
Peter walks out until Mary Jane speaks.
"Peter!" Mary Jane said.
"Yeah." Peter said.
"Thank you for worrying for me." Mary Jane smiled.
"Always." Peter smiled.
Peter walks out, Mary Jane is still think about the moment they both shared. They almost kissed, a part of her wanted to kiss him. She can't deny that she still has feelings for Peter. She still loves him, but she still thinks about all the time he disappointed her. She couldn't go through that again.
Peter couldn't believe that he almost kissed Mary Jane, he still remembers disappointing her because of his activities as Spider-Man and decided to let her go. He may have let her go, but the feelings he has for her never goes away. He made the decision of letting her go so he can go on being Spider-Man, a life he'll have to live without her.
