When the results of the Entrance Exam were posted, no one was really surprised when Izuku was in first. Bakugou, however, was...less than thrilled.

"That damn Deku! How dare he get first! Are his shitty sparks better than mine!? Huh!?" All he could do is scream, much to the dismay of the people around him.

Since the events of two weeks ago, Izuku's relationship with his mother skyrocketed. She was finally able to land a decent job, so she was at last able to spend time with her son. Parks, restaurants, you name it, they went there. Today was her first day at her new job, and Izuku prayed it went well for her. They still had a long way to go, but to Izuku, it was the best thing to happen to him since...ever. I mean, getting accepted into U.A. and finally fixing their train wreck of a relationship in a single day? Since when was luck on his side?

But deep down, he knew it wasn't because of luck. They had finally begun to recover from the scars his father left. Now, all they had to do was push through the rest of it.

It was still two weeks until the class of 1-A begin their life in high school, but today was a tour of U.A. Izuku was there first, and had a long wait until everyone else arrived. In the meantime, he enjoyed Bakugou screaming outrageous profanities into his face, and twirling his thumbs.

Once everyone arrived, they gathered in the 1-A classroom and waited. The blue haired boy Izuku saw at the exam was keeping everyone in check, and a small, purple haired boy was doing everything possible to make it difficult for the blue haired one. Izuku couldn't wait to see what all of their quirks were, they all seemed so cool! Except…. He stared at an invisible girl. Her quirk is invisibility, right? How did she pass the practi-.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Is this the 1-A classroom? Cool! What were their scores? Were their quirks nice? Were they strong? What was that beam I saw on exam day? Was it one of them?"

"Nejire, please stop yelling! You will scare the first years!"

"You're yelling too, Mirio! Are you a hypocrite? Are you sure you want me to stop? Maybe you just want-"

"Guys, I think they can hear us", came a surprisingly quiet voice.

"Tamaki, you need to project yourself more!", came the male voice again.

"All of you shut up. Just get in the damn room." This voice was sleepy and forced.

"Okay, Aizawa", came all three voices at one, sounding a bit deflated.

As the four walked into the room, Izuku recognized their teacher, Aizawa, and three others who, judging by their uniforms, were students. Aizawa stopped in front of the class and turned to face them. He was wearing a yellow sleeping bag that covered his whole body save his face. The three students that followed him carried an aura of power with them.

"Good morning. Welcome to the tour. I'm tired. These three will tour you. They are the Big Three, the three students most likely to be Pro-Heroes. They are also the strongest students in U.A. Introduce night" He laid down on the floor and fell asleep. The class was stunned. The three looked at AIzawa before turning their heads to the class. Those three are the strongest students here!? That's so cool! Izuku thought to himself.

The blue haired girl stepped forward.

"Okay! I'll start us off then! I'm Nejire Hado! My quirk is Surge!" She started to run up to everyone, questions falling from her mouth. "Hey, why do you have six arms? Your purple hair is weird! Is it because of your quirk? Why is there a red mark on your face? Why do you look so angry? Wow, you look normal, what's your quirk?", she asked, stopping in front of Izuku.

"Um… it's...Pyrokinesis.", he responded with a quiet voice.

She had a serious face for a moment, you could almost see her brain working. Then her face lit up. "Oh my god, are you the one what made that giant beam on exam day!? That's so cool!"

"Y-yes, that was me." He wasn't quite sure how to respond. What an...interesting...character? She's so outgoing and friendly. He thought. The complete opposite from me.

"Nejire, please slow down!", said one of the boys. He was tall, muscular, and had blonde hair with a cowlick. "You're scaring them!" He stepped forward.

"I'm Togata Mirio! My quirk is Permeation!", he said. He stepped back, keeping his introduction quick and simple.

The last of them stepped forward. "H-hi, I-I"m...I'm...I'm ..." He turned towards the board. "I can't do it. I'm sorry."

Togata stepped forward. "He's Amajiki Tamaki. He's very shy, so please don't talk to him much!"

And with introductions out of the way, the tour of the school began.

Izuku stared in awe as the three led them around school and explained the use of each room. He had taken the time before the tour began to learn the names of all his classmates, so that he could start his year knowing everyone. He also learned from a few of the girls to stay away from Mineta, the one with purple balls for hair. Apparently, he was a huge pervert, and they deemed Izuku innocent enough to warn of his shenanigans. He politely thanked them and noted to himself that he should verify their claims, just to make sure he wasn't placing anyone in the wrong category.

By the time half the tour was over, it became very apparent that the claims were, indeed, true, by how many inappropriate comments the boy was making towards one of the guides, Nejire. He could tell she heard them and was uncomfortable, so he decided to put a stop to it.

"Mineta. Please stop making such inappropriate comments. It's very rude to talk about someone that way, and you should be mindful of how you speak about others. You're making the class, and especially Hado, very uncomfortable." He finished, feeling proud of himself. That is, until he realized what he just did in front of the entire class, and his face turned a dark shade of red. Oh my god! Did I just do that!? Oh my god! That's so embarrassing! What will the others think about me!? I just told off a classmate! They must think I'm some kind of bully! He looked up at everybody, expecting disapproving looks. However, what he received instead was thankful looks from all the girls, and approving looks from most guys. Nejire couldn't help but giggle, and everyone turned to her.

She let out a light laugh before looking at Izuku. "Thanks Midoriya. I was getting pretty uncomfortable there, so I'm glad you stepped in. that was very hero-like of you."

Izuku didn't know how to respond. "Oh...um...t-thanks! I-it wasn't that big of a deal!", he stammered.

Najire laughed again, before turning back to the front. "Okay, let's continue the tour! I bet you're all curious about this room!" As she continued to tour the new class around school, she made a mental note to herself. That Midoriya boy...I'm super curious about him! I totally have to talk to him before school starts!

Authors Note:

So, here's chapter two. It's pretty short, only about 1200 words, but I have a bunch of time on my hands now thanks to covid-19, so I'm gonna set a minimum of 2000 words per chapter.

Thanks for reading!
