A/N; Hello again to all of you guys checking out my story again. I'm really glad I'm back now and I think since everybody is stuck in quarantine these days (at least myself), it is a good time to be productive. I will be working on Troublesome Complications, too, and I will try to upload as much as I can within the coming week. I've been absent for so long, but just seeing your love and support guys really warmed my heart up. So, I promise I will make it up to you.
Concerning this fic, I am so fan-girling on Miraxus right now. All the hints throughout Fairytail about Miraxus were so subtle, but honestly I ship them from day one, so my heart is full. There is a lot of built-up, since they know each other a long time and anyone can see they respect and care for each other, too. That's why I decided to turn this into a multi-chap. This chapter is fluffy and nice, but honestly send me your ideas and suggestions for things you would like to see (e.g. Miraxus as teenagers and their relationship then) and I will be glad to provide a chapter or even a story about it. I am really thrilled to work on them.
So, here goes enjoy!
Tiny beams of light made their way into Laxus' bedroom. He had woken up minutes ago, but he still hadn't opened his eyes. Every day, it took him a bit to make the decision and climb out of bed to start getting ready for his day. Nonetheless, he always made sure to spend a little time between sleeping and consciousness like this, just lying down peacefully. He was keen on staying like that for a little bit longer today, yes, it wouldn't really hurt anyone. Then, he realised that despite the warm rays of sun that had invaded his space, he felt kinda cold.
He turned on his side and tried to shrug it off. He stretched his arms over to the other side of the bed. Suddenly, he shot his eyes open. This was weird. His source of warmth had abandoned him. But he knew she was still there. He could hear her footsteps going around in the kitchen downstairs. He could also smell her scent, but this was too biased at the moment. Lately, his whole house bore her scent.
Speak of the devil, or rather the demon, Mirajane made her way up the stairs and entered the bedroom holding two mugs of coffee in her hands. In the meantime, Laxus decided to close his eyes again and just relax until she came back to him. Mirajane smiled at the sight before her. Although Laxus would probably kill anyone who even implied such thing, Mirajane couldn't help but think he looked so cute at that moment. She giggled to herself imagining what would happen if someone like Natsu ever called him cute. Yeah, Natsu would be dead in a second. She set the two mugs on the bedside table and slowly took a seat net to Laxus' lying form. She poked his cheek with her finger and her soft voice said "Wake up, lazy. It's 2 already".
Laxus just replied with his eyes still closed "Don't poke me, woman." He let a sigh out, enjoying being bathed by the sun rays.
Mira giggled again and Laxus couldn't help but smile at the sound. "So, how come you're not at the guild already?" he asked curiously. He still hadn't moved from his position on the bed and his eyes were still closed.
"Kinana and Lisanna have taken over for today. I went back home at some point to make breakfast for Elfman and Lisanna and she told me I looked tired, so she insisted I let her 'handle it'. I didn't want to argue so here I am." she said. Laxus didn't ask her why she had to go to her house before her siblings woke up. He knew why. Because others didn't know about them, not even her siblings. And for the time being, neither him nor Mira, wanted that to change. They would make the most of it and enjoy one another now, before their nakama burst their noses into their personal lives by bombarding questions and interventions.
She took a small sip of her coffee and set it at the table again. By this point, she had made herself comfortable. Her back now touched the head of Laxus' bed and she eased onto it. Her feet had made their way on the bed and she sprawled them out within the tiny space Laxus' was not occupying on the bed.
He chuckled lightly. "You skipped work? Wow, I think you may be ill, Mira" he said mockingly. He turned around to look at her, finally opening his eyes. He turned on his side, the chuckle still evident on his features. Until he froze on the spot. His smile faded and his eyes goggled in shock. In front of him stood Mirajane Strauss, the epitome of beauty. Her bangs were let loose which added to her appearance. However, what shocked Laxus was her choice of attire. Mira had decided to get into in one of Laxus' shirts instead of her own clothes.
She had chosen his favourite one, too. The purple shirt-dress he more often than not wore was now on Mira. His mouth was slightly agape.
"Laxus, are you okay?" Mira asked, slightly confused on his reaction.
Laxus was not shocked because Mira wore his clothes, she often had asked him for a T-shirt or other clothes if she was gonna spend some time in the house as to be more comfortable. But it was never his shirts. This added a short of extreme excitement on Laxus part. His shirts were so affiliated with himself on his mind and now Mirajane was wearing it casually. The image in front of him was...perfectly normal. It was as if, Mira belonged here from the start. In his house, surrounded by his belongings, wearing his clothes. Laxus realised he wanted nothing more than the woman in front of him to be his. For as long as she'd have him.
"Lax, you are really weirding me out. Say something" she was concerned now. Her cerulean blue eyes were pleading, worried. He just shook his head slightly to get himself back to normal. He sat up on the bed and moved towards her. He touched her cheek softly and smiled at her. "I really like my shirts on you" he replied plainly. "This one suits you. Purple's your colour, too."
He leaned in and kissed her soft lips. Laxus could feel her smile through the kiss and he smiled, too. Mira slowly pulled away and beamed at him brightly. She was obviously satisfied with the compliment she'd earned. "Well, thank you" she smiled at him sweetly. Her whole demeanour changed within seconds "Sorry I didn't ask you for it, I didn't want to wake you" she reached for his face again and gave him a soft peck on the lips.
But to her surprise, Laxus immediately grabbed her and deepened the kiss. His lips devoured hers and his tongue asked her for permission. When Mira gave in, he grabbed her neck and his other hand went to her waist. Mira didn't realise how, but within moments she ended up on Laxus' lap. But she wasn't one to back down. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs found their way around his waist.
They pulled apart at some point, catching their breaths. They were both panting and Laxus took in Mira for the millionth time. Her right shoulder was now bare, as his shirt had slipped down. Some of the buttons had come undone and Laxus had a clear view of her chest. Her chest only remained covered due to the last few buttons which hadn't opened yet. Her cheeks were blusing and her eyes had a lustful look. Her silver hair was a mess, because of Laxus hands in them. She was still breathing heavily and right then and there Laxus was awestruck. Mirajane Strauss was the epitome of beauty and desire in that moment.
Mira blushed under his gaze. He was looking at her so intensely. Such emotion was conveyed in his eyes. She felt vulnerable, but also loved under his gaze. Loved? Was loved the right word? Mira knew she was undeniably attracted to him. They pulled each other like magnets. But when Laxus looked at her like that, she couldn't think straight. It was too soon, yes. Or was it? They knew each other for years now. They were friends before these. But being intimate with him made her heart swell. She just looked right back at him and kissed him playfully. She had to escape this spell he put on her. "Done ogling me already?" she grinned playfully.
"For now" he replied, stealing a kiss from her. He held her in his lap, but reached for his mug of coffee. Mira naturally cuddled into his chest and stayed there for a bit. She really felt safe inside his embrace. Laxus took a sip of his coffee and set the mug back down. He then addressed Mirajane "so what are you up for today?"
"I'd like to stay like this for now" she replied with a genuine smile across her face. She felt so at ease around him, she just bluntly voiced her thoughts. She had no idea how it all led to this: being in Laxus' arms. It happened along time probably, it wasn't a one-off thing. She always cared for the lightning dragon slayer, even when he was a jackass to everybody. Maybe it was because even back then, he wasn't afraid of her. He accepted her. He accepted the 'Demon'. He accepted her darkness right from the start, when anybody else would.
"As you wish, demon" he said kissing her hair.
She grinned slightly and raised her head to face him. Laxus noticed the playful glint in her eye. He slightly grinned himself. "I'm not a demon, you know. But if you want to see one, all you have to do is ask". Her sweet smile had long gave its place to her devilish smirk. Laxus kissed her and she answered with her own force, kissing him back.
Moments later, Laxus' purple shirt ended up on the bedroom's floor.
Okay that's it for now! I hope you liked it. Please leave reviews, comments, anything really. By the way, I don't know whether I will keep the rating to T or change it to M for later chapters. Share your thoughts and I'll be back soon.
