Phoenix traveling headquarters
Gibbs and Bishop stepped up to the van. There were some computers inside, but other than that, it was empty. There was a large screen on one wall. Riley moved over to one of the computers and started typing. Her fingers flew over the keyboard and she pulled up a live video feed. There was a room on the other side. There was a woman in there. She was a short woman, but she looked fierce. She smiled at Gibbs and Bishop in welcome.
"Good morning. You must be the NCIS agents Gibbs and Bishop. It's nice to meet you. I'm Matilda Webber, the director of the Phoenix. We are based in L.A., which is where I am at this moment."
Gibbs looked confused for a moment. "But why.."
"Why have you never heard of our organization? It's an under the wraps sort of organization. We deal with the things the FBI cant deal with. Nobody but the higher-ups know about our foundation. It allows us to move more freely. Also, our team gets arrested on a daily basis. It's a blessing and a curse to not have credentials."
Gibbs nodded. He could understand that logic. "And you say that someone took two of my agents and one of yours?"
Matty looked grim. "Yes. Salem Verduci."
She pulled up some images. One had a mug of Salem while the others were of a recent mission. "Two days ago there was a mission in Kazakhstan. Our agents were tasked with retrieving a file from a terror group by the name of Ak-765. THis data included their plans and their next terror strike. Four agents were sent on that mission. Jack, MacGyver, Bozer, and Riley. As you can see, only three came back. MacGyver was forced to build a bomb to get the information out of there. He went missing in the blast. We believe he was taken by this international terrorist, who then took your agents as a grudge against your agency after his original take down by one Mike Franks in 1998."
Gibbs nodded. "That makes sense. What are we doing to find them."
Riley spoke up. "We are checking out security cameras and running facial recognition software."
Gibbs looked appreciative. "Alright. And what do we do now."
Everyone looked grim. "We wait."
Terrorists Headquarters
Three men walked in. All of them had weapons. The leader was shorter and a little on the skinny side, while the other two were bigger and bulkier, most likely the back ups. The leader walked forward while the other two waited by the door.
He smiled at the agents. "Good morning government agents. How was your sleep."
The agents just glared at him. He laughed before turning toward Mac. Mac made an obvious show of feigning fear. The man just grinned. He moved closer and grabbed Mac by his hair. He chuckled at the discomfort it caused.
"Agent MacGyver, what a lovely day you're having. You get the privilege of going first. Tell me where the plans your Phoenix Foundation took from me in Kazakhstan are."
Mac looked up at him and laughed. "Why would I tell you?"
The man grinned and pulled out a cattle prod. He jammed it into Mac's gut. Mac shook and groaned from the electricity. After what felt like years to Mac, but in truth was only seconds, he pulled back. Mac fell as far as was possible at the moment forward, and began panting from the pain.
"Are you ready to tell me now little agent?"
Mac shook his head. "Never."
Mac got punched in the face, and the man motioned to one of his guards, who brought forth duct tape. He gagged Mac before shoving the cattle prod again in his stomach. This time, he passed out completely from the strain on his body after two shocks. THe man chuckled before turning to McGee. McGee looked quite nervous.
The man chuckled. "Oh don't worry little NCIS agent, you're tomorrow. By the way, my name is Salem."
Salem gagged McGee and Torres before leaving the room with his men. He called back behind his shoulder, "Don't worry little agents, we'll call your people. And, do remember, there's a camera." Then the door swung shut and the lock clicked.
