Part 2 starts 3 months after Bernadette gets her Ph.D.

Bernadette walked into "The Cheesecake Factory" to be greeted by Penny.
"Well if it isn't Dr. Rostenkowski, are you enjoying your new job?"
"I am enjoying it, especially now I have got my first salary payment, now I can start to pay off more of my student loans. A question for you Penny, how are your noisy neighbours and their twins doing?"
"None of us are getting much sleep."
"I thought so. Now I have got my new job I can afford a better apartment. I have found a great one halfway between here and my workplace but it is a 2 bedroom apartment. How would you like to be my roommate?..."

One month later Penny said goodbye to her noisy neighbours and moved in as Bernadette's roommate. Penny loved her new apartment, it was the best place she ever lived in since she left Nebraska.
Penny was able to earn some more money by acting as an extra in movies and TV shows. One or two days a month she would be a face in the crowd somewhere, she actually got a line in a TV sitcom about scientists.
Most of the time she was working at "The Cheesecake Factory", Bernadette would eat there at least once a week, if she had a date she made sure they would eat there and Penny would get a big tip. Penny and Bernadette would have a girls night out once a week.
