Entering the 5th start system that day, Master Antha started another scan on the approaching planet. Riding around in her Delta 6 - Sprite starfighter, she had developed a sore back from sitting so long. She has done this many times today and only found little to no life. It would have been faster to use the force, but unfortunately, it was being a silent, little…
A beeping noise came from her monitor. She pulled up the alert on the screen in front of her and her eyes widened. The whole planet was off by a few degrees and it's rotation had just changed recently. She estimated it to have changed the same time the force became restless.
This must be it! She thought as she dived down toward the surface. Once she entered the atmosphere, she gasped at the sight.
It was the same as her vision with the trees and mountains. The two suns did the same rotations and the sky was blue. She flew around, scanning for life. The girl in her dream must have come from somewhere and Antha was determined to save her.
She continued to look along the ground until something locked onto her ship and started pulling it down to the planet's surface. Antha started to freak out and pulled at the accelerator, trying to get free of this pull. The ground where she was getting pulled towards was opening as if to swallow the whole ship. Antha opened the hatch and tried force jumping out of the ship. Although there was no "force" to her jump, she barely made it to solid ground.
The ship was quickly swallowed by the ground and all Antha could do was watch. She cursed since all her stuff was in there except her comm and lightsaber. Looking around, she saw that she was in a forest of trees and large rocks were scattered around. She turned around when a noise came from the ground behind her.
The ground cracked open and Antha stepped back a safe distance. Rising from the ground came a tall humanoid with large animal-like ears and clawed feet. It had a manly persona about him. Rocks floated around him like he was using the force. Antha was perplexed.
"Who are you?" she spoke to the creature, hoping he knew the universal language. It looked at her with understanding and spoke back.
"I guess the question is, who are you?" He repeated back the question. Aatha nodded, I guess it was fair since she was the one imposing.
"I am Master Antha Forena of the Jedi order. I recently had a vision about your planet and I came to investigate. Please excuse the intrusion." She bowed in respect and the other raised his eyebrows.
"It has been a while since we had visitors and our last guests have been quite destructive." He eyed her with suspicion. "How do I know if you have the same intention?"
Antha reached for her lightsaber and the other creature stepped back and positioned his rocks to attack. She turned the lightsaber around and offered it to him. He casually stepped toward her. She spoke calmly.
"I offer you my only weapon of attack and defence for the time I am on this planet. I am only wishing to look around and nothing else. I wish to tell you and this planet's inhabitants about what I saw." He nodded and took the lightsaber. The rocks fell to the ground.
"My name is Rye. I am the ruler of the underground. There are only four of us planet-wide and we rule each part of this world." He started walking and Antha took stride beside him.
"As I said, I am the ruler of the underground. There is also the queen of the sea, Florence." he pointed to a lake which had a purple tint to the regular blue. "The ruler Kodi is placed to watch all of the wildlife, including the plants." He touched one of the great trees that they were standing under and the bark glowed as he touched it.
"Finally there is the queen of the skies, Zara. She is supposed to be guarding the skies but it looks as if she was slacking since you got through. But she is still quite young." Antha started to understand how this planet functioned. They were all force sensitive beings that controlled each part of the world's ecosystem. Antha spoke.
"So if you are all in control over this planet, which is thriving by the way," Rye nodded in thanks. She continued, "Then what happened to your world's misalignment that happened just recently?"
Rye shook his head, "It was I that did it. Zara was causing unrest among the surface and I had to put a stop to it. That was the quickest thing I could do at the moment." Antha nodded.
"So she's a troubled child?" Antha asked. Rye shook his head.
"I don't blame her. Her mother died when she was born. We were at war at the time and our whole population died in battle, her father was one of them. We eventually chased the enemy off and only four of us remained. It took a century until she was ready to claim her mother's role as queen of the skies." Rye's voice was saddened.
"Why are all four of you split up then?" Antha questioned.
"We are all a different species and it would never work if we tried to rebuild what we once had. We made an agreement to look over the different parts of the planet and alert each other if danger was coming. I do keep an eye on the sky since I don't trust Zara to do it. She has been occupied lately."
"With what?"
"She has been speaking with the provider if that is possible. What I used to lift the rocks came from its power." Antha nodded, realizing that he was referring to force.
Talking to the force? How is that even possible? Antha thought. It was one thing to be guided by the force but to befriend it like a physical being? That is unheard of.
"May I meet this girl?" Antha asked. Rye closed his eyes and went into deep concentration. A sound of flapping wings came from above. Descending from the sky was a humanoid with features like a bat. She landed beside Rye.
"What?" She spoke to Rye. She looked at Antha with a piercing look. "How did she get here?"
Rye sighed.
"You let her on the planet. She flew in on a ship and everything. Good thing I was there to see it. That doesn't matter, this is Master Antha Forena of the Geti order."
"Jedi order." Antha corrected him. Rye nodded.
"Yes, that. And she is just taking a look around since she said that she had a vision about our world. She comes in peace. She just wanted to meet you." Rye finished. Zara nodded.
"Nice to meet you, Master. If I may ask, A master of what?"
"The Jedi arts which include strengthening our connection to the force. Or as your people call it: the provider." Zara and Rye both were surprised. Rye wasn't buying it.
"Lift that rock then." he pointed to a good-sized rock that was off to the side. Antha nodded, unsure if she could do it under the certain circumstances. She reached her hand out.
The rock trembled but it didn't lift off the ground. Sweat dripped down her forehead as she concentrated with the most intensity that she could muster.
"Well, I think you need some more work on your connection." Rye lifted the rock with the ease, taking the stress of the Antha.
"Just recently, I can't seem to use the force as well as I used to. I don't know what's wrong. It has happened with the rest of my order as well. I thought it was just the force that was affected but I see it was just me." Antha gestured to the floating rock that was being put back down by Rye. She continued.
"I did, however, have had this vision of this world being destroyed by battle droids. There were so much and…" Rye's eyes widened and he cut her off with a dark tone of voice.
"They are back. I knew the enemy would return soon. What else did you see?" Antha was taken aback by his intensity. Even Zara was a bit scared. Antha resumed.
"The trees were on fire with droids marching from the horizon. I fell backward into the earth since a wave of darkness hit me. I landed in a cave and saw a young girl in the shadows but I didn't get a good look from her. She was calling for help. She made eye contact with me then I was back in my room." Rye looked at the ground in grief. He spoke.
"What you saw was the death of Kodi since the trees were ablaze. The girl you saw was this world's spirit. I have seen her a few times in my dreams. She must have been calling for you to save her." Zara looked up at Rye.
"Are we all going to die?" Zara asked. Rye looked down and smiled.
"No, we will make a plan around this vision to get through this." He patted Zara on the head.
Rye took Antha's lightsaber and tossed it back to her.
"I will give you back your ship if you could take Zara with you." Zara looked at Rye with shock.
"No! I want to fight alongside you and the others!" She pleaded with him. All Rye did was look down.
"That is my order! You will obey it! I want at least some of us to survive." He looked up at Antha.
"You will leave in three days. I will give you food and a place to stay for the night." She nodded.
"I am honoured if Zara is to travel back home with me." She followed rye to a small cave where she was to stay for the night.
