2. Chapter 1- She's Back

Author's Note: Hiiii! We're back with chapter 1! I've been reading and editing these old stories I'm posting and getting surprised by all the plot twists since I don't remember what I wrote LOL. But here's chapter one for you to enjoy! Please review and tell me if you like it.

Chapter 1

Jamie

Tomorrow is the first day of school but this summer has been so fun I don't want it to end. I was walking down Embassy Row towards the cliff with my best friend Alexei. We were going to be juniors in high school. International school was a huge school broken up in three different sectors, International Elementary, International Intermediate, and International High.

I have been living in Valencia, the capital of Adria, since my parents got a divorce when I was five. My mom is the daughter of the US ambassador in Adria, so she moved the three of us here. My little sister was four at that time. My mom met my step-dad here and she married Dominic when I was seven. Dominic is the Chief of Security for my grandfather.

Living on Embassy Row is crazy, my best friend Alexei is Russian, and the Russian embassy is right next to the US embassy. I remember when we were younger we would run around and my sister would follow. We tried to get away from her a lot. My mother and my sister looked like twins. Both with blonde hair and brown eyes. My sister was a daredevil. Once when she was twelve she jumped off the wall between Germany and Canada just because I said the fall would kill her. She only broke her leg.

A year later when I was fourteen and my sister was thirteen my mother died in a freak accident. My sister was with my mother and she saw her die. She wasn't the same after, so for her benefit she was sent to the States to live with my father. He is a Major General in the US army and my sister went with him. It's been three years since I've seen her, and we don't talk a lot.

We just turned the corner to where the cliff was. Usually it was empty at noon, but today it was not. A girl with blonde hair was looking out at the sea. She was wearing black shorts and a white crop top. She turned around and I saw her brown eyes.

"Hey, Jamie. It's been a while."
