Over the next twenty-four hours, Tony's mind was racing, to a point that he was completely distracted at work the next day. Gibbs had head slapped him a couple of times to knock Tony out whatever daydream he was in. And it was a good daydream.

Tony had spoken to Ziva. She had reached out to him and they had a conversation, even though it was brief. She was pregnant with his child, their child. It made Tony smile whenever he thought of it. He was going to be a dad. They were going to be parents, he and Ziva. Together.

Except they weren't together. Ziva was in Israel. Tony was in the US. What were they going to do? Was it possible to co-parent when the parents lived on different continents? Would it stay like that – Tony in the US, Ziva in Israel or would they move? Both or only one of them? And where to?

Tony's laptop started beeping. He sat down the table and pressed the green phone. The morning after Ziva's phone call, Tony emailed her and they arranged to Skype with each other after Tony got home from work. Tony did consider just calling Ziva on the phone, but after speaking with her and hearing her voice, Tony was desperate to see her face.

'Hey,' he said, hoping he sounded encouraging and happy.

'Hi, Tony' replied Ziva. She gave him a smile. God, she was beautiful.

'How are you feeling?' asked Tony. Ziva chuckled.

'Terrible. I feel tired and yucky. I have had some morning sickness. I can assume that it is wrongly named.'

Tony laughed, making Ziva smile.

'How are you?' asked Ziva.

'I'm alright. We have a new team member. Ellie Bishop. She's a liaison from the NSA. Bit nerdy and computer-y, like McGee.'

'You must be loving it' said Ziva. 'A new probie to tease.' Tony chuckled.

'She isn't probie. Yet.' Ziva saw a twinkle in his eyes. 'Bishop's got potential Zi. I can see it, this yearning for something else.'

Ziva smiled. She loved seeing this side of Tony. The less goofy side of Tony DiNozzo, who was a fine team leader and wanted to pass on his experience and knowledge, and help train new agents.

'I want to come and see you' said Tony.

'I think… I would like that' replied Ziva. Tony let out a small sigh of relief. He had been worried Ziva would say no.

'I would get on a plane tonight if I could, but in reality, I think it'll be around Christmas and New Year. I put in the request for time off today. Hopefully, Gibbs will sign it in the next couple of days and I'll let you know, OK?'

'OK' replied Ziva. They stayed in silence for a moment.

'I have so many questions' said Tony.

'What are they?' Ziva sounded nervous, like this a first or second date.

'When did you find out?'

'The day before my birthday. I woke up and vomited for the fifth day in a row. Later on, I was looking at my calendar and realised I had missed two periods. I went out and bought seven pregnancy tests. All came back positive.'

'Seven?' Tony chuckled. Ziva laughed too.

'Yes. I still have them. I sat on the bathroom floor in complete shock.' Tony chuckled. 'I never questioned who the father is, Tony. This is your baby.'

'I know Ziva.' Ziva let out a sigh of relief. A part of her had been worried that Tony would question the baby's paternity. She had been wrong of course. The trust between them was too deep.

Tony yawned.

'You tired, Tony?' asked Ziva.

'Busy day of chasing down suspects and interviews. Plus it's 10 pm.'

'It's 10 pm in DC, Tony. Here is 4 am.'

Tony smacked a hand to his forehead.

'I forgot about the time difference. Sorry, Zi.'

'It is OK. A chance to get used to being up in the early hours of the morning, yes?' Tony laughed.

'I guess so' said Tony. They watched each other through the cam, smiling. Both happy that lines of communication had opened up again.

'I miss you Tony' said Ziva eventually. Tony smiled again.

'I miss you too, Zi.'

This is going to be a relatively happy, chill story. Not a lot of drama. Tony and Ziva will talk more in the next chapter which will be up tomorrow. I'm planning on posting this almost daily but no promises.
