Chapter 2. Annabeth.

Annabeth hated Sundays. Nothing to do. No work. No training. But this was no ordinary Sunday. After healing in her cabin she started walking towards the lake to meet Percy. Suddenly everything went black.

"Annabeth! Annabeth!" She heard a voice worriedly calling her name.

"Uhh…what happened?" Annabeth asked.

"You were attacked by the cleaning harpies, who "thought" you were a goat. Chiron thinks it may be because of the latest news. He's discovered a problem…" said Percy.

"What kind of news? Kronos is invading Olympus kind of news, or Gaia is wrecking humanity kind of news?"

"Neither. It's worse."

"Worse than Gaia destroying the world?"

"Depends on how you look at it."

Annabeth felt nauseated. Her vision was blurred. Nothing was clear. Percy held up a cup of nectar to her mouth, which she readily accepted. She suddenly felt a lot better. Her vision cleared as the sweet liquid steadily flowed down her throat. The infirmary door open, and a centaur walked in.

"Chiron!" she exclaimed.

"Annabeth! I came to see if you were okay. I was worried about you! I must apologise for the harpies attacking you, it's just that something terrible is happening."
