The wait until 2:00 was agonizing even though it was only 1.5 hours. I was super excited and even more than that nervous. I texted Lafayette and Hercules because it seemed like a good idea but i didn't tell them when I was going since we all live pretty close to each other. They claimed to have known he liked me all along but we all know that this was one of the most unexpected things to ever happen to us.
1:30 came around and I left my house to go to the park. It was only a five minute walk but i was too anxious to wait anymore so I decided early was better than late. I was right to do this because he came at 1:45.
"Hi! You came early as well? Anyways, how are you?" he asked. He seemed excited and maybe even a bit nervous.
"Hi! I'm fine, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm doing well. I'm really sorry about not being honest about my feelings for you," he responded.
"It's fine, I completely understand," I reassure him. We talked for another hour or so until he had to go.
"Bye!" we each say out to the other. Suddenly he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back and as he pulled away I kissed him on the cheek. He turned bright red and so did I but I didn't care, neither of us did. We each turn in opposite directions and start walking away. I glance back to see that he is already out of sight. "That wasn't even that awkward!" I think as I walk home. Honestly, I had thought that this would be super awkward and uncomfortable but it was quite enjoyable. I really hoped Alex thought so too.
I checked my phone to see if I had missed anything while I was gone and I had missed a lot.

Well now everyone was going to know about Alex and I. Great. Just great. I decided that I should probably start heading over to Hercule's place. His house was on the street right next to the middle school they had gone to together just 2 years ago. The house had a weather vein on top of it, but instead of a rooster like everyone else in that neighborhood, there was a horse on top. Hercules really liked horses...maybe a little too much.
At 4:15 p.m. I was the last person to get to Hercules's house. The Schuylers, as always, were early and had already taken a seat on Hercules's bed. Lafayette was seated in a desk chair and Hercules was sitting on the ground next to him. I walked in and occupied the desk. I had the widest smile a person could have and I think Angelica was genuinely worried about that. Her and her sisters were chatting quietly when I decided to speak up.
"I went on a date today!" I exclaimed.
"With who? Spill all the tea!" Peggy shouted while bouncing up and down on the bed.
"Did you go out with ALex and not tell me?" Lafayette asked in annoyance.
"Um...yeah I did." I answered carefully.
"Oh my God! John isn't single! Oh my God!" they all shouted in unison. Is it really that surprising that someone could like me? I guess it is, why would someone like me.
"Well I guess i'm not. We went to the park and talked, it was really fun." I said, pretending that I wasn't contemplating why everyone didn't hate me.
"Did you kiss?" Peggy blurted out.
"Uh...um..." I stuttered, not expecting that question(even though I should have been).
"Well?" Angelica prodded.
"Um...I kissed him on the cheek," I said while turning red as a tomato.
"Tell us all the teaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Peggy screeched. John told them everything that happened on the date.
~later that day~
"So Angelica how's it going with Burr?" I said with a smirk.
"It's going well...and don't give me that look!" Angelica shouted, now agitated.
"It's not my fault you like him," I joked, "but really, when are you going to do something with him? You two have been dating for over a month and you haven't even kissed on the lips yet!"
"Wait, they haven't?" Hercules asked.
"No they haven't." Eliza stated.
"Wait, is Aaron the one in our grade?" Hercules asked.
"Yes he is. He is the one that doesn't care about anything." Alex said.
"Does he care about Angelica?" Hercules asked while wiggling his eyebrows like a maniac.
"Yes, I think he does." Peggy said while failing to hold in her laughter.
"Oh, well then kiss him!" Hercules shouted.
