Crisis on Infinite Wells: Chapter 1 - Explanations

"Wait a minute, you're THE Doctor Wells?" Nash asked.

"HEY!" Harry shouted from a distance, "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"

Nash ignored his counterpart's obvious offense, instead focusing on the man in front of him.

He knew his fair share of doppelgangers, after all he did focus on myth busting a couple of them.

Harry Wells was known for his excellent intellect with rather poor human empathy.

H.R. Wells was a sad loss, but he was one of the most fun Wells to have graced the multiverse.

He also was in awe of the master detective that was Sherloque Wells, who managed to solve many of the multiversal mysteries that he tried to bust.

However, there was always one myth that he could never find out the secret to.

Who was the Harrison Wells of Earth One?

Rumors spread around like wildfire. It was said that the Wells on Earth One wasn't really a doppelganger, it was a speedster in disguise.

(Nash obviously confirmed it discretely through Team Flash, lessening his workload.)

Even with the Reverse Flash's crime of murdering the doctor, he wondered what he was like.

It was said that he had an even higher IQ than his Earth-Two counterpart, but that he was kind and caring like H.R. Wells.

Harrison snapped his fingers at the traveler.

"You went into a little moment their bud, care for me to explain it to you?"

Nash nodded.

The S.T.A.R. Labs lounge was a good place to be in after Crisis, it had a few upgrades that were given by the Legends, including Gideon's food fabricator.

Nash fabricated a Big Belly Burger for himself and his counterpart.

"You do know that I can't eat right?" Harrison joked.

Nash nodded while taking a bite, saying that it fixes his psyche. He gestured the man in the coat to begin his story.

"Well, where do I begin?" He said.

"Let's start from last week. With Team Flash's exorcism being a complete success, Thawne was completely removed from our system."

Nash interrupted Harrison, "Wait, I want to know first, why was that complete psycho part of us to begin with?" He took another bite.

Harrison explained the device that Thawne used to steal the former's identity.

"You see, Thawne used a futuristic device called the Appearance-stealing cord to initiate his master plan. Of course, that involved me dying and him taking my place.

It left my body in Starling and him controlling the things I spent my life's work doing."

Harrison took a pen and paper to illustrate the next phase.

"In that moment, Thawne himself a part of me, gaining my mind, my memories, my abilities. That's why he got stuck with all the multiversal Wells because he BECAME ONE."

Nash was in disbelief.

"The first few days with him were oddly like what you're experiencing now. At first, I could convene with him, but at a certain point, he learned to shut me out, gaining full control."

He pointed over to the drinks behind the counter.

"Think of me as the drink behind those glasses. I watched as he did everything, as he used my work to finish his vengeance. It was bad."

He then put two fingers on Nash's forehead.

"But then you guys removed him from my brain waves. You returned him back to his own body, with no traces of him in my mind. It was freeing."

Harrison smiled.

"You guys freed us. All of us."

He raised a glass towards Harry, who was still chiming in.

Nash stared at the man before him, contemplating.

"Is there a way for us to separate?" Nash asked.

Harrison poured himself a drink.

He winked and smiled.

"It involves a very complicated process, that involves us tuning back with the multiverse."

The traveler had no words. Didn't the multiverse die with Crisis?

"You must be confused, don't worry. We got your back. But first..."

As he was talking, Cisco was in the building, looking for Nash.

Harrison asked his counterpart if he still had the MAD 3.0 with him?

"Yeah, I still do, I was planning to use it to fix up some patches up here." Nash knocked the temple of his head.

"Well." Harrison looked at Harry, "We're in for a reunion."

(A/N: Welcome back Harry and Harrison! Well that just seems to be enough for today. See you all next time!)
