Sabine Skywalker
Chapter 2
Hello everyone. Remember, Sabine is Vader's daughter in this one, but Luke and Leia won't appear. Last time we left of right before Vader reached the Ghost's location. Lastly, Sabine knows that Anakin Skywalker was her father and thinks he died in the Jedi purges. In this story Ahsoka knows about Anakin's fate and is trying to help him destroy the Empire from within, but has no idea that Sabine is his daughter. As a disclaimer, which I forgot to add below the title, Disney has the rights to all characters, iconic locations ect. Anyways, let's get on with this.
Lothal, capital outskirts, Vader's point of view:
I had left my speeder behind a few minutes back. I did not wish to lead the Empire to my daughter's location, or warn them in any way about my arrival. I saw the crew, which was talking to some hooded figure. I observed for a little while, waiting for the figure to lower their hood. After a minute or two, the figure did just that and the hood was lowered, leaving Ahsoka's face exposed. I decided to intervene, a move which shocked both Ahsoka and Sabine. The rest of the crew attacked me on sight but I simply dismissed them with the force and turned to Ahsoka and Sabine. Ahsoka didn't attack me, Sabine didn't either. I tried stepping forwards but the kid, that "Ezra" got in my way.
Ezra-I won't let you hurt them!
V-Boy, I am not here for that. Besides, if that was my goal you would all be dead.
Sabine-He has a point. So, what do you want Vader?
V-To speak with you and Ahsoka in private. Declining is not an option.
Ahsoka-Okay. *turns to the crew* It's fine guys we'll be back before you know it.
S-So, what do you want to talk about?
V-Anakin Skywalker.
S-My father? What does he have to do with you saving us before?
Ahsoka-Anakin is your father?
S-Yes. But he is dead, thanks to Vader.
V-Sabine, I did not kill your father.
S-The Purges wouldn't have happened if you stayed out of it! You are the reason the Purge happened, therefore you are the reason my dad is dead.
Ah-Anakin isn't dead, Sabine.
S-What? If he isn't dead then where is he? Why isn't he here, with us?
Ah-I don't know the entire story but from what I know, it's complicated.
S-Vader, do you know where he is?
V-Um…yes…
S-Spill it.
V-This is not going to come out right…
S-I said talk!
V-Well, I know where your father is, because I am your father.
S-You were right. That didn't sound okay.
Ah-You aren't…shocked?
S-Hold on…he isn't kidding?
V-No. I wish I was, but I'm not joking.
S-You wish?
V-I wish that you had a normal life, away from the war and the Empire. But you didn't get one.
S-Did you leave me on Mandalor?
V-Yes. I trusted Ursa to protect you and she did. For the most part.
Ah-I didn't know he was your father, Sabine. I would have told you.
S-Shit! Darth Vader, Darth kriffing Vader is my father!
V-Sabine I…
S-No! I don't want to hear it! I don't care about the why or the how or if you are sorry! I don't care!
V-Sabine please calm down.
S-My dad is a freaking monster! Do you really expect me to be happy about that?
V-Well, no…
S-I'm leaving!
V-I can't stop you, but if you need help, just call.
S-I'll totally call my Sith dad to bail me. That's sooo reasonable.
Ah-I'll…I'll just go.
S-I'm coming with you.
V-I'm sorry Sabine. I should have taken this into account.
S-Should have probably thought of that before you murdered half the kriffing galaxy!
V-…sorry. I was doing what I thought was right that day. And ever since I learned about you I've been trying to overthrow the Emperor, so you wouldn't have to worry about him in your life.
S-Well clearly you are a failure! And you haven't been doing the best job at protecting me either!
V-What did you want me to do? Send you to Tatooine and my stepbrother so you can be a poor moisture farmer with no future? Or send you to the most secluded area in the galaxy so you could grow up alone, without anyone else in your life? Or maybe, give you to Palpatine so he can turn you into an Inquisitor, or kill you like most other Jedi! Are those really options? I considered every possible factor and I tried to give the normal life you deserve. I stayed as far away as possible so the Emperor wouldn't find you!
S-I don't care! You should have told me!
V-What should I have done? Go down there and tell a five, or a ten, or a fifteen year old girl that one of the most hated men in the galaxy, second only to the Emperor, is her father?
S-I'm leaving.
V-Ugh…Go. I'm sorry I upset you. Go.
S-…Fine! Just know that I hate you!
V-Just know that I'll always love you.
Sabine turned away and stormed off, leaving me heartbroken. At least I got to see her again. Well, I knew what the next thing I had to do. I had to prove myself. And how the heck am I going to prove myself to my seventeen year old daughter that hates and wants nothing to do with me? Now that's a good question…
Poor Vader. Writing this felt like kicking the guy in the nuts repeatedly. Well, at least it's over now. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, even if it was a filler. This story won't take too long, just a couple more chapters and I'll be done.
