Annabeth's POV
Zeus said,'No'. Hyperion stood there looking at him and said,'Charge'. The horde of monsters charged forward. We charged as well, hoping to have caught them by surprise. Unfortunately, it did not work. So, we began to hack and slash all the monsters that got close. After what must have been, 15 minutes, we had only managed to kill around 300 monsters. Then suddenly, the air became colder on the North side while it became hotter on South side. I looked around. I saw 2 figures flying towards us. One from the north and one from the south. It was cold from the direction the man from the North came from while it became hot from the direction the other man came from. The 2 figure landed int eh middle and it caused an earthquake. I could see that both of them had golden armour. they both had wings on their backs. One had black eyes while one had white eyes. I thought that the one with white eyes was blind. Then something unexpected happened, he unsheathed his sword. It was magnificent. It was golden and had some amazing design on it. Then the other figure got his shield out. The figure with the sword charged and he moved with incredible speed. He began chopping and hacking off monsters. The other figure used his shield which had a similar design and began bashing the heads of the monsters together. I could tell that the figure with the shield used brute force often and that he wan't as fast as the other figure. The other figure was using speed and accuracy and he was demolishing the monsters. After what must have been a few minutes, they finished all of the monsters. Hyperion remained and you could tell he was scared. The figure with the shield made a seat of darkness and sat on it. The other figure got his sword ready. He must have been enjoying himself because he had a grin on his face. He ran forward and suddenly, he appeared behind Hyperion and sheathed his sword.
Hyperion said,'Really, that's all y-'. He didn't get to finish as his body dropped to the ground cut in half. The gods slowly walked over to them. They formed a triangle and when they got close, the bowed. It was shocking. The figure with the sword made a throne from what must have been wind and sat on it. He looked at the gods and said,'Rise'. The gods did. I could tell the gods were scared of them. Zeus spoke up and said,'Princes, if you need anything do call us or inform anyone in the camp'. I was shocked. Why did Zeus call them princes. I saw as they stood up. For some reason, the figure who sat on an air throne was familiar. The other guy as well. Zeus and the gods turned around and said to us,'Demigods, meet Sword and Shield, Sword is the heir of Order, the destroyer and Shield is the heir of Chaos, the creator'. I looked at the 2 figures now with even more shock. Everyone knew Sword and Shield. They were the best assassins in the universe. They were very powerful, everyone knew that. 12 portals appeared. And out of them steeped the primordials. The lined up and a line with who must have been Order and Chaos in the middle. The then said,'Our children would like to announce who their champion is, so you know what abilities they have'.
After half an hour, we each knew who was who's champion. Sword was the Champion of Gaea, Ouranos, Chronos, Erebus and Pontus while Shield was the champion of Thalassa, Tartarus, Nyx, Hemera and Aether. We could infer from this that they both had control over water and darkness. That is where the similarities ended. Sword had control of the earth and sky while also time. Shield had control over monsters and light. I looked at Sword. Something clicked inside my head and I realised who he was and I felt upset. I almost got up and shouted, but I could feel my mother holding me down. After that was done, Chaos said,'We will now let Sword and Shield introduce themselves. He stepped back. Shield went first and said,'I am known as Shield but my real name is Ethan Nakamura'. When he said that, all of the gods were shocked. Then Sword came forward and said,'I am Sword, but my true name is Perseus, Perseus Jackson'. I could tell that all of the gods were scared and shocked. I turned and looked at Poseidon who looked like he was about to cry. He loved Percy, but because of Zeus, he couldn't save him. I knew he was angry at me as I remembered how I cheated on him. I felt scared as I remembered this. I was thinking he probably hated me. I could tell that Zeus was outraged that Percy got more control over the sky than Zeus. A cocky camper stepped up and said,'You are probably weak, you hide behind your power'. I looked at the voice and it was my boyfriend, Andrew. He got up and said,'I challenge you'. Percy just looked at him. The crowd dispersed and as soon as they did, Percy jumped into the air. He jumped so high that when he hit the ground, a crater was formed. The ground sook upon this very impact.
Everyone stared st him with awe. He unsheathed his sword. It gleamed in the light. The blade was incredibly sharp. and when he slashed at the air, it became cold, very cold. When it touched a branch, it dissolved. Andrew was obviously startled by this. Andrew didn't wait and charged. Percy at the last moment sidestepped him. He stuck his foot out and Andrew tripped over. he landed face first into some mud. He looked at the sky and summoned some lightning. As he motioned for it to head towards Percy, it stopped. Percy looked at him and with a flick of his wrist, he sent to bolt faster that the eyes could see towards Andrew. Andrew screamed in pain. Percy didn't seem fazed. Andrew recovered. Percy was getting bored. He made the shadows wrap around the sword. Once they disappeared, the blade was black and purple. He looked at Andrew and he somehow had some armour on. It was made of some weird material and had dragon scales in some bits. What was the most shocking was the helmet. It was the skull of a demon and it was horrifying. While Andrew was startled, he attacked like a panther waiting for its prey. In a second, he had his sword at the throat of Andrew. Andrew gulped and I think I saw him pee. I almost laughed. Percy removed the blade and headed off into the forest. Demeter followed him, having been one of the people he was close with before he left. Also, she had been one of the only people to vote for him to not be killed.
