There was knocking on the door, he opened his eyes feeling tired,

"who is it?", "it's me, can i come in? " it was valkyrie.

Loki sighed, he really didn't want to see anyone, it's the only day that he could rest from the duties of managing new asgard, he still don't know how asgard people considered him as their king, apparently what happened on ragnarok and the ship had returned their trust in him.

"come in" he closed his eyes again, trying to rest them,

"there is someone seeking your audience",

"send them off and tell them to come another day",

That's not Valkyrie's voice!, he opened his eyes and looked at the guest, "it's been a while" it's banner? Or hulk?,he's green, but the hulk can't speak,doesn't matter, Loki rolled his eyes and rested his head on his hand and asked without looking at banner "what are you doing in here?",

"ahhh we were thinking if you could lend us a hand",

"if your asking me to join your heroic mission then your wasting your and my time" this time he turned and give his back to him,

"even if it means that you could bring back Thor?",

Some stuff in the room had exploded and the table vibrated, "do not dare speak of that name in my presence" his voice sounded fierce,

"i know that, but I'm serious, there's a chance loki",

"you mortals just really don't know how to give up, leave at once" now anger could be heard in his tone,

"i think you should leave" valkyrie interfered,

"no he have to come, i won't give up on this chance that we were given!, listen loki, we build a machine, it could send us back to the past, we made a new gauntlet, we only need the stones, if we could get them we can reverse everything",

Loki knew what he was about to hear,

"it was in asgard right?, we don't know asgard and we can't search for it, the time limit to travel to the past is short",No response came from loki, he sighed "I'll give you some time, think about it" and he left.

The room returned to silence, "your majesty" valkyrie said "i think you should go", loki let out a small laugh, valkyrie didn't pay attention to it "i hate to admit it, but back on sakaar, the reason why i changed my mind was because of you",

"no, it was him" he said with sadness in his voice, remembering the time in sakaar (loki i thought the world of you, i thought that we will fight together forever, but our paths diverged a long time ago) he bit his lower lips, eyes closed in pain,

"your wrong, it was because you showed me the memories that i longed to forget, seeing it again made me realize that i can't let that bitch roam freely again….i owe you one, so if you didn't go I'll force you to",

"if that is your way of saying I'm sick to work under you then your free to go", then he added "not that anyone doesn't",

"ok that's it, get up" she turned the chair so he could face her and grabbed him by the collar "Do you really think that people of asgard are ungrateful for your efforts? We barely had anything when we came to earth, look at asgard now, they have all the means do live, and everyone is living happily because of you"

"Thor knew that you could do it, he wanted to rule beside you, that's why he never gave up on you….and now look at you, you've been offered a chance to bring him back and you're already giving up, is that how you gonna repay him?" she shacked him back and forth "is that how you gonna do it?", no answer came, "then you are really a failure to trust" she let go of him "do whatever you want, I'm done with you, i'm gonna tell Bruce of your answer" she left with that.

Silence, he hates silence, Loki used to love it, but now he loathes it… He missed the sound of heavy footsteps trying to be sneaky, the door bursting open, the annoying calls until he closes the book, and the wors part was the journeys they used to go on…...he really wants to go on one now…. ...you don't miss these small things until it's really gone.
