Always and Forever:

After moving away to get her life together, Bella is back for her fathers wedding. She is happier than she has ever been, but she misses her home: her hybrid and her new family. Afraid of being hurt and broken she now has to deal with the added stress of her old life meeting her new one.

I don't know if this will follow the TVD storyline, but it will eventually have all the characters. The chapter is set after the the death of Mikael, but before the awakening of Esther. In this story, the Mikaelson's were woken up by Klaus, himself, due to him finally ridding the threat that was their father. Twilights timeline is wack! It will be set five years after the infamous breakup and she will be 22, because her birthday has not been celebrated in the year it is set.

I do not own The Vampire Diaries or Twilight. Vampire Diaries belongs to L.J Smith, Julie Plec, or Kevin Williamson and everyone else involved! Twilight belongs to Stephanie Meyer and everyone else involved with the films and books. This is for fun and no copyright infringement is intended!

"Does she know yet?" Sue asked Charlie.

"Know what?" Emily looked at the couple confused. Charlie looked at the door Bella had stepped out of and turned back towards Sue.

"I haven't had the chance." Charlie replies.

"Told her what?" Leah asked for Emily once again.

"Bella doesn't know about the Cullens being back in town..."

"Or that you invited them to the wedding..." Sam finished for them. "How could you not tell her?"

"She's happier, I couldn't ruin her mood with it. I'll tell her when it's right."

"Well it better be now, because I invited the Cullens over for dinner tonight!" Emily told him as she continued her baking.
They all shut up as soon as the door opened. Bella stepped back inside after her latest phone call with her boyfriend.

"Sorry, I took longer than it should today." She smiled sheepishly. She turned towards her father with an apologetic look. "Dad, is it alright if I bring Nik and his brother to your wedding? They're supposed to be in Seattle for a meeting tomorrow and I can introduce him to you as well."

"Of course he can!" Sue answered enthusiastically before Charlie could say anything. "The more the merrier. I'll be sure to tell the planner the new details. Is there anyone else coming with him?"

"His whole family is coming to Seattle, but that would be too many people I'm sure." Bella waved her off.

"The venue is pretty big, I'm sure adding a few more isn't anything. How many people are there in his family?" Bella hesitated before answering Charlie's question.

"He has three brothers, but one won't be coming, and he has one sister..."

"I'll add them to the guest list!" Sue told her with a smile.

"I'll be sure to let them know," Bella grinned. She rolled her sleeves up as she headed towards where Emily was cooking.
"Bells... there's something I have to tell you." Charlie piped up as he walked towards the kitchen as well. Bella looked up from her cutting board to give her dad a look of confusion.

"What's up?"

"You remember the Cullens?" She gave him a nod, and Charlie took her calm demeanor as a good sign. "They moved back into town two years ago and they apologised about everything that happened with you. Ever since then the family and us have gotten along..."

"So you invited them to the wedding?" Bella guessed and Charlie gave her a nod waiting for her reaction. "I'll be on my best behaviour then."

"See she's not mad," Sue told her fiancé, rolling her eyes.

"It's your wedding, Dad, I'm not going to tell you who to invite. Besides, my relationship with the Cullens is in the past now." She shrugged before she continued to cut the vegetables. Charlie gave her a kiss on the head before he went back to the living room to join the boys.

Emily eventually told Bella about the Cullens having dinner with them. Bella reassured her again that it was fine, before she went out into the back to join the pack who were grilling some of the food. It was a while before the knock on the door came. Everyone in the room tended up as Charlie let the Cullens in, who greeted everybody before their eyes landed on Bella. The girl stayed in the back and gave them a small nod.

"Bella..." Edward let out almost surprised.

"Edward..." she greeted. "It's nice to see you guys again."

"Where's Jasper?" Charlie asked Carlisle dismissing them awkward tension in the room.

"He should be here in a little bit, his siblings are in town." Alice answered instead, but her eyes never strayed from Bella's.

"That's nice that Pete and Char are in town." Charlie commented.

"I'm going to go check on the food," Bella told them awkwardly as she left the room, hating the stares on her.

"Bella's back?" Emmett asked Charlie as if he didn't believe it.

"She came here three days ago and she's staying here for the wedding." Charlie answered.

"Edward..." it was Sue who looked at the boy with a look of sympathy. "I'm sorry, she's moved on."

"She has a boyfriend?" The boy looked like his age for once with a kicked puppy look.

"I'm sorry, son." Charlie patted his back.

Bella sat outside with Emily and Kim on either side of her. They all talked about what she had missed since she had been gone. Bella could feel the stares a few feet away from them, but ignored it to the best of her ability.

"What happened to Eddie? He looked like someone stole his hair gel..." Everyone looked up as Jasper and two of his companions entered the room. No one noticed the look of surprise on Bella's face or the look of a little fear in Charlotte and Peters. Everyone greeted them as they had done earlier and when Charlie went to introduce Bella to them, they were surprised to see Peter and Charlotte already grinning at her knowingly.

"It's been a while lil' bit," Peter greeted hugging her lightly before Charlotte pushed him away and hugged her. "How's the big bad wolf doing?"

"He's doing great, how have you been since I last saw you?"

"Everything's been rolling," Peter shrugged.

"You should have came to visit us, Kol has been missing you around the house Pete."

"I'm sure he has, that bastard just wanted to put dye in my shampoo again." Bella laughed at the comment. Before Bella could say anything else, Alice interrupted.

"You know Bella?" She asked the two human-drinking vampires.

"We've known Bells for over three years now. We met her in Virginia when we went to go visit her man," Peter answered. Everyone looked at the couple a little surprised since they tended to not go near humans unless they were "food."

"We should eat since everybody's here," Charlie told everyone. Bella gave Peter and Charlotte a funny look before she joined the girls in getting food for everyone.

Once everybody had food, Bella grabbed herself a plate and sat down across from Peter and Charlotte. Everybody watched them silently, but diverted their attention if any of the three looked at them.

"So...I heard Mikael is gone," Peter broke the silence around them.

"He was going to go sooner or later, Nik just helped the situation." Bella shrugged, grinning. "You should have seen the send-off, it would've made both you and Charlotte proud."

"Kol got fireworks didn't he?" Charlotte asked and started laughing when Bella answered her question with a yes.
After dinner everyone decided to go to the beach for a walk. Bella stayed near Peter and Charlotte as they continued their conversation from dinner. Charlie was surprised by how vibrant his daughter looked compared to five years before. He could see the little girl he had seen every summer before she moved in with him. He was equally surprised to see the once quiet vampires were quite open to his daughter. He watched as the Cullen family approached the three, who remained on the sand.

"Hey, Bella, could we talk?" Alice asked a little worried about the answer. The brunette looked hesitant but gave them a nod. The Cullens sat down across from Bella. Edward tried to sit next to the girl, but Charlotte and Peter took a spot on either side of her.

"What can I help you guys with?" Bella asked, her tone remained neutral.

"We... we wanted to apologise as a family. After we left you our whole family broke apart without you in it. After a couple months we returned in the hopes you would still be here. We came to your house and Charlie told us you had already moved away to live with your aunt and we wanted to follow you, of course, but we realised we couldn't ruin your new beginning. We had left in the hopes of you having a normal life and we see that you have, but as a family we hope that you forgive us and are ok with us remaining in your life. We are so sorry we left, Bella." Esme spoke for the whole group. Bella looked at them, her face remained impassive and her eyes didn't even blink to acknowledge them. She looked at them for a few more seconds before responding.

"I can forgive you," this brought a smile on all of their faces. "But I will never forget what you did. Yes, you may have left for my safety, but did any of you consider that it should be my choice. I understood why Jasper left and Emmett and Rosalie left me note apologising and telling me that they needed to get in control again. They are the only ones I will every forgive to the fullest extent."

"Bella-" the girl in question shook her head at Carlisles 'reasoning' voice.

"I'm sorry, , but you weren't here for the aftermaths of your family's departure. Edward left me in the woods claiming that I was worthless and that he never loved me. I was lost in those same woods for hours and could have almost died if Sam hadn't found me. When he did, I wished he hadn't. I wanted to die out there because my heart felt torn apart. My father and my friends had to watch me everyday because they grew fearful of what I would do without any of you here. Then I started to get better, but one of your messes came for revenge. I could have let the pack defend me against her, but I claimed that I wanted to live with my cousin and left. I took the problem with me in hopes that I could save my family and friends."

"You left because of the red-head?" Sam asked confused. Everyone in Forks had thought that she left because she wanted to move on and get better.

"Partially.." Bella answered before directing her attention back to the Cullens. "I was unprotected for weeks before someone took care of the problem. Then I was back in my depressed state. I didn't eat as I should have, I didn't talk to anyone, I almost failed my last year of high school because of your family's departure. I thought I was worthless that my whole life was a waste. I still have doubts about my relationship with everyone. Whether it be friendship or a relationship. Its never going to leave, but I have people who will make sure that I never go to those depths again. So you see, , I can forgive you, but I will never forget what my life was like for the last few years. I will be cordial, but I will always look at you, Esme, Edward, and Alice as the people who broke me."

With that Bella stood up and grabbed her jacket off the ground. She left the group and went back home.
Charlie didn't know who to comfort. He could see the unshed venom in Esme's eyes. He understood where his daughter was coming from, but he also understood the Cullens. The only thing he knew was that he was proud of his daughter for finding happiness for herself. That didn't stop him from feeling bad for the Cullens.
