Just as she sat down and said "What is…" She felt a sharp stab of pain and then everything went black.

Hearing Erin cut off in mid-sentence was alarming, so Voight grabbed Hallstead's phone and non to calmly said "Erin, you need to get to the station as soon as possible. Erin?" Hearing voices in the back he said "Hello. who is there? Erin can you hear me?" All of a sudden he heard a man's voice on the end that said "Erin Lindsey is no more. Oh and Voight you lady friend Olivia Benson is next." The line went dead.

Jay watched as Voight struggled to gain control. He had worked Voight long enough to know that When Voight let his emotions over run things got ugly. Hell, back a few years when Justin had been killed it had Erin who had barely been to keep in check. But now, it was Erin who was in danger. And that voice on the voice, it felt familiar.

Punching the dashboard of his SUV Voight yelled "GOD DAMN IT." He knew working when his emotions were all scrambled and high wasn't the best thing to do. He had learned that the hard way. However now, it reversed. Erin was the one whose life was in limbo and he had to do something about it. Closing his eyes and taking a few deep breathes he pulled his phone and called the FBI headquarters office in Chicago and reach Lieutenant Davis. Telling the other gut what had just happened and about the call he received from Olivia Benson back in New York.

Jay watched as all different types of emotions went across Voight's face. Unsure of knowing what would be appropriate to say he kept his mouth shut.

As she started coming around Erin quickly became aware that she was in a moving vehicle with a black hood over her head. Doing a quick body assessment she found no emergency medical needs that needed immediate attention. Laying as still as possible so that her captors wouldn't know she had woken up she shallowed out her breathing to fool them into believing that she was still asleep. She could still hear Hank's voice on the end of the line. But she couldn't remember what he had been saying. Thinking back to the knock on her she chided herself in being much more aware. She had to believe that Voight and her old partner and ex-boyfriend Jay Halstead would do something.

Working on calming down Hank took a few deep breathes and thought about things. He knew that Erin could fight for herself but not knowing her physical condition and also not knowing how many assailants there were that were involved was a problem. Looking over to Jay he said "Halstead, are you with me? Meaning no matter what happens, are with me until we get Erin back?"

Arranging his shoulders Jay nodded and replied "No matter what. I am still in love with Erin." In fact before she had played the disappearing act, he had been on the verge asking her to marry. But once she had left, he had had to move on and start over. Until just last month when he finally hooked up with Hayley Upton, Jay had been single. However, things with Upton just weren't like they were when he was with Erin.

Hank nodded and said "Ok. Now call Atwater and give him an update. Let him know this case is top priority. I am going to call Erin's boss and let him know what just happened." With waiting for a response he immediately dialed Detective Mars's phone and waited for an answer.

Jay didn't hesitate he called Atwater's desk phone hoping the team was all there.

Having been in his office since 7am Detective Mars was tired. He was doing reports on the last case that the FBI had successfully managed to close a couple of days earlier when a member of the surveillance unit that was watching Erin Lindsey's had called in alerted to suspicious activity around his detective's house. He had told the surveillance team to hold back and call should anything more happed. That had been a little over an hour ago and he hadn't heard anything, hearing his ring he reached for it and said "Mars."

Hearing Erin's new boss's voice Hank bit back what sprang to his mind and said "This is Voight. I was just on the phone with Erin when she cut it. I think something happened because a man replied and said she is no more." In fact the voice had done more in scaring him than anything else in his life had ever done.

Hearing the infamous Hank Voight on the opposite end set Mars on edge. He had never liked the man but if there was anything that made Mars hesitate in listening to Voight this wasn't it. He could tell by no nonsense tone in Voight's voice that something was terribly wrong. Closing his eyes he said "Voight, I have her house being watched. If anything happened to her, I would be immediately notified." In reality he was very worried.

With clenched teeth Voight said "Listen I know Lindsey. When she is in the middle of conversation, she doesn't cut it off in middle. I have my conversation with her recorded. I am coming by your office now so you can listen to it." Driving in the parking Garage for the FBI Voight hung up his phone and slammed his fist against the steering wheel.

Jay was just finishing his call with Ruzek when they turned into the parking garage and said "They are going to be on it. Ruzek had me on speaker." The unit still cared about Lindsey deeply and the originals were holding on to a thin a hope that one day she would come back.

Voight nodded and parked the SUV. Getting out he took a deep breath of the cold mid-February air into his lungs. And headed for the main entrance of the building.

Feeling the vehicle slowing down Erin remained calmed. She was trying to formulate a plan of escape for when her captors pulled her from the vehicle. On top of being uncomfortable her bladder was full, and she had to pee very badly. She hoped that her captors would take a rest break. She could hear soft murmuring for the front of the vehicle and harsh raspy voice saying "No. He can search for her all he wants. He will never find her." Immediately she knew that she had heard that voice before. But she couldn't remember from where.
