After school Darla walked to the auditorium to see a line of kids auditioning for different characters. Darla got in line. She saw Chrissy was onstage singing 'A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes'. Kids were staring at Chrissy. She not only had talent, but she was one of the most popular kids in and out of the school.
After this next girl is was Darla's turn. She was quietly singing to herself. She was also going to sing that same song. Finally it was her turn and she sang the song. In the corner of her eye she saw Chrissy glare at her with a smirk. Darla knew she was up to something.
The next day on the bus...
"Lulu, I think Chrissy's on to me." Darla said nervously.
"Don't let Chrissy get to you. I just know you'll get the part. And, auditions are still going on." Lulu replied. Darla smiled. That had helped her.
At school...
"Monty, do you want me to get the part in Cinderella?" Darla asked her boyfriend.
"That stupid play? I don't care about that, but yeah. We both deserve to win everything, anyway." Montana Max replied. Then he leaned towards her.
"Besides, I never really trusted Chrissy." He whispered and leaned back. Darla slightly smiled. She was going to have to talk to Chrissy.
