Chapter 2 starting out
Tyler's POV
"BEEP,BEEP,BEEB!" ahh yes the sound everyone hates to hear in the morning, an alarm clock. I slam my fist on it before climbing out of bed and yawn then stretch before getting my training gear on. A green shirt and a purple vest with sleeves, blue jean shorts and my training shoes they are like my normal shoes but they are WAY more durable Oh and one more thing I go to the night stand and grab a three inch whistle that's white in color. I hear breathing on the bed and look to see vulpix sleeping soundly on the bed.
"Vulpix" I say as I pet her back a little and she moves a bit before opening her eyes and smiles as she saw me before leaping at me and licking my face again.
"Hehe vulpix stop, that tickles" I move to get her pokeball but as she sees it she shakes her head no before climbing on my shoulder. I took it as she rather be with me than the ball which I accept.
We go out of the room I'm staying in and I hear a commotion going on outside. I walk out of the building to see a crowd of people as a boy with brown hair and blue shirt steps out with a smug look on his face.
"Sorry, excuse me" a boy wearing pajamas steps through the crowd and the cheerleaders before bumping into Gary.
"Hey watch where you're going…..well you must be Ash, better late than never I guess. At least you got the chance to meet me" he says with an arrogant tone.
"Gary?" Ash asks
"Mr. Gary to you show some respect" gary says
"Huh" ash says in confusion
"Well, Ash you snooze you lose and you're way behind right from the start...i got a pokemon and you don't"
"You...got your first pokemon?" Ash asks like he couldn't believe it.
"That's right loser and it's right in this pokeball" he takes out a pokeball, makes it bigger and spins it on his finger.
"Let's go gary let's go yeah yeah" the cheerleaders chant as the crowd cheers.
"Thank you fans, thank you all for this great honor, I promise you I will become a pokemon master and make the town of Pallet known around the world!" The whole crowd cheers as he says that.
Also there is something you should know about me...I HATE people with huge egos with a passion so what's the thing I try to do…..smash that ego like a sledgehammer to glass.
I walk up to him "excuse me is there a problem here sir?" he turns around and looks at me in confusion
"And just who are you?" he looks at me and sneers
"The names Tyler Nova, a pleasure but I can't help but notice that you're causing a big commotion out here" I say with a rather fake confused tone.
"Well 'Tyler Nova' your looking at the next pokemon master Gary Oak" he points to himself and then back to me
"I bet you don't know first thing about pokemon" that makes me mad
"This coming from a trainer whose self esteem is so low that he needs cheerleaders following him like lost puppies everywhere" I give a smirk as as his jaw drops and his cheerleaders gasp offended and I also hear vulpix giggle at my words
"All right smart mouth if you're going to insult me like that then let's BATTLE!" he throws out his pokeball and a squirtle comes out while I nod to vulpix and she climbs on my arm and I fling my arm as she jumps off similar how eevee does in lets go eevee when you send her out
"Hehe a vulpix this will be easy" I just give him a look does he not notice that mine is different than normal?
"Squirtle use tackle!" squirtle charges forward
" vulpix dodge it!" I shout and she jumps out of the way
"use disable!" she glows then squirtle glows
"use tackle again" squirtle tries to use it but fails and falls over
"what how?!' gary shouts
"now finish it with full power powder snow!" I shout and she realises a bunch of snow which hits squirtle head on and freezes him ending the battle.
'Wow" I hear a whisper and look to see ash looking at the battle in amazement.
Gary just looks forward at his squirtle who is still an ice cube but if I look closer I can see swirls in his eyes that proves I definitely won. I blow my whistle and vulpix looks to me and runs up and climbs up on my shoulders and nuzzles me while i just pet her head
Gary growls "squirtle return" he holds out a pokeball and a red light comes out and squirtle gets back into his ball
"Mark my words Tyler this won't be the last time we battle!" he gets into a red car and so do his cheerleaders who are still glaring at me and drives off with his tail between his legs.
"Hey Tyler" i turn to see professor oak coming to me with a light purple backpack
"I forgot to give this to you, it's to store your items and other stuff you buy" he gives it to me and I put it on.
"What do you think Vulpix? Does it look nice?" I say and vulpix looks at it than back to me and gives a happy bark with a nod
"It has 5 pokeballs and an few potions you can use I wish you the best of luck on your journey Tyler" i nod and me and vulpix head off to route 1 to start our first step in the wonderful world of pokemon
