Thinking back, I actually remember hearing something about Lee drinking a little of Gai-sensei's sake while having dinner at some curry joint around the corner from Ichiraku. There was a sizeable amount of property damage, not to mention several injuries. Gai-sensei had to complete a classified S-Rank mission in order to pay off the damage of that night. Gai-sensei barged into the office, begging Lady Hokage for something 'juicy'… My stomach started to churn with unease.

"How old are you, Lee? Eighteen? Technically, by law you are allowed to consume this," Ino said matter-of-factly. "Besides, why are you letting your sensei still dictate what you can and can't do? You are a man, aren't you?"

Lee's unbandaged hands flew to his hips, his mouth dropping open with indignation. "I am offended, Ino! You are talking to the most hot-blooded man in all of Konoha! I just listen to my sensei because he wants what's best for me. I'm warning you, I truly don't handle alcohol well."

"That's because you've never had Yamanaka sake. It's not even that strong, it's more calming than anything." She replied, as if that alone were enough to squash his fear.

I squinted, eyeing Ino with well-earned suspicion. "And just why are you trying to 'relax' us? Something doesn't feel right, Ino."

Ino pursed her lips. "I'll explain if you guys finish your cups. Just trust me." She brought her cup to lips and gulped its contents. Lee and I looked at each other nervously.

It's just stupid Ino. You can handle her. I gave Lee a shrug and knocked mine back. Ino had not been exaggerating about the flavor. Heavenly. I smacked my lips, eyes closing from the pleasure. "Wow," I breathed. "Lavender. It doesn't even burn really. I heard it does that."

Lee looked down at his cup like it was poison. "I'm terrified of what I'll do, you guys."

Ino was in the middle of pouring herself another cup. "Just drink that one. I promise I didn't fill it all the way! Finish it and then tell me how you feel."

I need more.
