"Don't call me that, you make it sound like we're a thing..." He lightly grasped my hand, staring into my eyes, always searching, calculating the next step.

"To anyone else we are a 'thing' dear." His hand clenched at the last word, as if to emphasize his power over me. Under any other circumstance, I'd think this was all a dream, maybe a huge joke. The fact that a week ago, I simply went out with the sole purpose to get drunk, to maybe even forget who I am... Now I acknowledge who I am, a full-blown idiot. Golden eyes stalked my movements as I took a step through the door, separating his hand from mine and taking in the magnificence of the building. The interior was impressive to say the least, I'd have bet my money on the place being a hotel rather than a house, a home someone lived in.

"We are not together, a senseless piece of paper states we are but that means nothing to me." I'd have never been so sharp with someone who'd extend such generosity to me, a helping hand was what I was begging for in my time of need. Frustration was all I could feel currently, at myself for thinking I could make important decisions while blindly drunk and at this man, who took advantage of that.

"The law states that we are Kagome. Hardly senseless in my opinion." He smirked again, the cat that got the cream and I found a voice inside, talking of how she would love to slap the smugness right from his face.

It was true, begrudgingly I'd admit to it, we were, in the eyes of the law, married. The night I drank myself half way to hell, I'd drunkenly poured my heart out to this man, told him to watch his mouth, not to lash out at others as he could have no idea to what I was experiencing. He had abused my state of mind, convinced me he could help, when in fact he'd just created another problem for me. In exchange for helping me, I was now his new wife.

"Upstairs, two doors on the left is our room." I quirked an eyebrow, knowing that I would definitely not be sharing a room with this man. In public appearances I will present myself as expected, at any other time however, it would be every man for himself.

"Thanks." Acting calm and collected, I made my way towards 'our' room. Of course, with it being such a large and spacious place, it took a while longer than I thought. I took the time to appreciate the place I'd now call home and a brief glimpse of an endless garden outside had me thanking whoever was watching over me, at least I'd have one place to escape to.

An unexpected, inhumane noise halted my movements. A guttural moan of sorts. I had noticed a door, just after my own, stood slightly ajar, a ray of light stretching out, just light a spotlight, across the dim hallway. My body was rigid, arguing over fight or flight, however I willed myself to take small, silent steps towards my door. My mother had always said I was too inquisitive for my own good, as I now stood in front of a door that was definitely not mine. Glancing around the door, a small gasp escaped me, as my eyes were met with the sight of two entwined bodies. All I could do was watch, hear them take pleasure from each other. There was a slight beauty about two people 'in the moment' on screen, however spying like this in real life, I found, just made me a pervert.

This realisation was forced to crash into me, as I felt a large hand slide up my arm, finding a place to rest against my neck, no doubt feeling my pulse thumping violently.

"See something you like Kitten?"
