Ever since the Battle of Paris, LA RESISTANCE had broken up and pursued...new jobs.

Jay Barnett (neé Rakshak) and Clay were now a very happy couple, having homeschooled their boy Raymond for the past twenty-nine years.

They now live in Florida, wherein Jay works on the newly-redesigned NASA space center.

The genius boy, Samuel DeVante grew into a strapping man, became engaged to Karen DeVante (neé Park), and since then he continued his work and devotes most of his time to expanding knowledge in the field of science.

Naaʼyaʼli decided to remain on earth, and got re-married to a human not that long ago, giving birth to a little Thʼnakʼu/human girl she named Annʼkaʼrai.

(To this day no one knows what the heck happened to Leia Gutierrez, or Petey the rat for that matter.)

Bronwyn, on the other hand, was courted by a mysterious individual over the past two years, and now since the two had gotten to know each other, they were to be wed very soon.

Everyone in LA RESISTANCE was invited, and everyone was ecstatic to attend...all except Michelle DeVante, Samuel and Karenʼs 13 year old Afro-Korean American daughter.

"WHY do we HAVE TO GO TO NEW THAILAND?!" Exclaimed Michelle. "Dad, you PROMISED you'd sign me up for the science camp this summer!"

"Michelle, darling, we've gotta go because this is your aunt we're talking about--she'd love to see you and your cousin Davey when she gets married! Besides, I personally think that going to a foreign country

and participating in a traditional Japanese-style marriage is much more exciting than science camp."

Samuel smiled, embracing his

daughter.

"Besides, you'd get to learn more about the culture from your mother's side of the family!"

"Mom's Korean, not Thai." Explained Michelle.

"Whoops!" Said Samuel. "Im sorry--must be slipping in my memory already."

"Ok then...Who's the lucky guy and how'd auntie meet him?" Asked Michelle, looking at her father.

"Well, dear," said Samuel. "Aunt Bronwyn stayed in Asia a few years

back, and now she's going to rebuild her family's fortune by getting married to her new boyfriend; an extremely wealthy

Japanese scientist."

Michelle stopped in her tracks.

"Wait, dad, d'you mean a scientist like Prof. Akashi Satsujin-han?!"

Michelle opened a magazine and flipped violently, stopping on a picture of a young Japanese man.

"The guy that discovered the cure for thirty-nine recently-unheard of diseases and a new element of the periodic table in the same day?!!" Michelle gazed at her father with a wide expression.

Slowly, Samuel gained a massive

smile upon his face, much to the delight of his daughter.

"...yep." He said.

Michelle stared at him for a moment. Ever so slowly, her facial muscles contracted, until she too had an enormous smile upon her face.

"MY NEW UNCLE IS GONNA BE AKASHI SATSUJIN-HAAAAAAAANN!!" Yelled Michelle.

"TAKE ME TO NEW THAILAND RIGHT NOW DAD!! I CAN'T WAIT AT

ALL!!!"

"I certainly will, my darling.." Samuel smiled as Michelle raced to her room and gathered some

suitcases. "Just gotta get the other

guys first..."
