Chapter One

Akria Kursu got off the familiar train and took a quick whiff of the city air. He was back in Yogen-Jaya just a few days before he started college. He could now live with his friends without having to worry about Shadows, gods, or that weird ass Velvet Room. Morgana, however, seemed distracted.

"Something's off, Joker." Morgana muttered. Akira had told Morgana to call him Akira a majority of the time, but whenever something was wrong, Joker was fine.

"It's probably just instinct, Morgana." Akria brushed off. He wanted Morgana to think he had things under control. In reality, Akira was terrified. He kept getting letters with no return address and calls with the caller ID reading: 'Redacted'. But, he decided to ignore it and head to LeBlanc, where he would be living during his college career. He walked to the familiar cafe with it's homely feel. He noticed the sign had changed, the Cafe now held the name 'Cafe Arsene'. Akira did not know why, but this made him feel uneasy. He stepped in the cafe and a loud pop went off. Confetti flew through the air. Akira saw his old friends bust from every nook and cranny.

"Surprise!" they yelled. Ryuji ran over to Akira and gave him a bro hug.

"Aki, my man! It's great to see ya!." Ryuji exclaimed as the hug ended.

"I'm so happy to see you guys! How'd you plan this?" Akira asked.

"I kinda told everyone you were coming for college." Sojiro explained. "They demanded that they throw a surprise party."

"Mission complete! RTB For retasking!" Futaba yelled out.

"Sorry, what?" Akira asked.

"Ryuji introduced Futaba to 'First Person Shooters'." Yusukue explained.

"They're good!" Futaba yelled. "Not that you'd know, Inari!" Yuskue and Futaba began arguing about meaningless issues, Akira could not help but laugh. Sojiro began making coffee and curry for everyone as they all took seats at the bar and the booths.

"So, you made it to Tokyo U huh?" Makoto asked. "What are you majoring in?"

"Political Science." Akiria beamed. "I'm going into Politics, Yoshida-San agreed to be my mentor."

"I believe you would make an excellent politician Akira-Kun!" Haru exclaimed. "You have great beliefs and you sure do have a way with words!"

"Not to mention I know what makes a bad politician." Akira responded. "What happened to Shido anyway?"

"Sae told me he was put in the same cell as the guy who killed those people in Inaba. He turned Shido into his plaything, apparently." Makoto explained. "Honestly, I almost feel kinda sorry for him, almost." Akira chuckled. A rapping suddenly came from the door, no, a pounding.

"JSFG, open up!" a voice yelled. Sojiro cautiously approached the door and opened it. Several men in camouflage fatigues. They burst into the room with rifles and handcuffs.

"What's going on?" Sojiro demanded.

"Sojiro Sakura, we have a warrant for the retrieval of the Phantom Thieves." A man said walking over to Sojiro. The man was young, younger than Akira. He was wearing a camouflage uniform with a UN flag on it rather than a Japanese flag, and he was definitely American.

"Who are you?" Sojiro demanded.

"Sergeant Twenty Five, UN Task Force 435." The man said.

"How are you a Sergeant, your clearly younger than I am!" Akira demanded.

"That's classified." Twenty Five said dryly. "You'll be told everything once we reach our destination. For security purposes, we need to blindfold and gag you." Akira suddenly felt a bandana tighten over his mouth and a hood was thrown over his head. The last thing he heard was Twenty Five mention 'Persona Users'.

Erik Reed got back to his dorm and groaned as he dropped his bag. He had nothing to do because Homeland would never let him go anywhere in Febuary, for whatever reason it was the month where terrorists and criminals decided that it was an amazing plan to work with Shadows. A mail carrier entered his dorm.

"Mr. Reed, you've got a letter." she said as she gave Erik the envelope. Erik checked the front. Most of the information about the sender and recipient was blacked out, definitely from Homeland. Erik opened the letter and read it.

Reed,

After careful review by the US Department of Homeland Security and United Nations Security Council, you are being transferred to a Leadership Position with a newly established UN task force. You will be given a Highschool Diploma due to the lack of time permitted for education due to the conditions of this position. From this point on you will no longer exist and you will be under the Code Name Twenty Five. A transport will arrive to take you to the temporary center of operations off the coast of Japan on 03/04/18. Burn this letter immediately after reading.

US State Department

Oh, it was from the State Department. And of course he was given one months notice. At least he was getting his diploma and a leading position. With his luck though, Emerald was being made the leader. Why was it that this boarding school was the one in the US where Persona Users were dumped? Emerald Sector was clearly the strongest, and Kae Maeda was powerful but she disappeared last month. Erik had only awakened in 2017 and was not very strong at all. He sighed and grabbed his phone. He dialed Emerald.

"Hey Erik." Emerald said. "You got the letter too?"

"Yep." Erik responded emotionlessly. "You know what the hell is going on?"

"UN recently made a new task force, I think it's Anti-Shadow." Emerald reasoned.

"Why have us lead it though?" Erik pondered. "The Kirijo group has stronger Persona Users with more experience than us."

"Don't know, just take it, it's a promotion." Emerald responded. "I'm guessing it's political."

"Let's just get ready for this." Erik muttered. "Don't want to make SOCOM angry."

A/N: That's the first one out there. Yeah, I'm gonna have a bit of a slow build up. I really wanted to have it as it was kinda sudden in the original piece (which I will not be posting) so I wanted to add some buildup to the first mission and make the SEC seem a bit more Machiavellian. As for the plot and Personas, it's mostly about a cult and a rouge Persona that gained sentience. Now, I'm gonna clarify the crossover stuff. In this FanFic, the events of COD Modern Warfare, maybe DDLC, Far Cry, and Metal Gear happened. I might actually make another FanFic that's focused on MGSVxP5, but I'm not sure how I would do that. There's gonna be shipping, and influence from one of my favorite FanFics on this site, Ace In The Hole by eiranerys, go check it out, it's amazing. I'll try an update this regularly, but the Fallout and Payday fics have my current priority.

CQ: What's your guy's favorite Persona? not game, not wildcard Persona, just Persona wielded by a character? Mine is Captain Kidd because Best Boy has best Persona and I love the pirate look.
