Savanaanimefangirl wrote the first two books in this series, and the credit for coming up with Willow and her mother Dream goes to her. If you haven't already read the Phantom Bride or the Phantom Princess then I highly suggest you go read them. There will be spoilers because I intend to follow the 2011 anime very closely. So I will only own Willow and Dream's ACTIONS, and how people respond to them. HxH belongs to it's rightful creator.
Willow bought a black fan with sharp knives on the tips, with her to the hunter exam, that's her weapon of choice. Along with a black flap bag with her to the hunter exam. She can wear it like a backpack or swing it to her side.
Quote of the day (I do not own this)
"A father holds his daughter's hand for a short while,
But he hold her heart,
forever.
"Come on Daddy! Please! Please! Please! Please, let me take the hunter exam." Willow begged her father. Staring up at him with big bambi eyes, hands clasped under her chin.
"No means no Willow. You've already asked me once, and asking again another hundred times isn't gonna change my mind." Chrollo replied calmly, as the father-daughter pair entered their new temporary hide out. "You're far too young to take the hunter exam."
"Actually, I beg to differ." A bell like voice cut into their conversation. "I was 12 to, when I took my first attempt at the hunter exam, and I passed." Dream elegantly walks down the stairs in the rundown building. Once she reaches the bottom of the stairs, she glides to her daughter's side, using her left arm to pull her close. "More importantly than my license, I made some pretty good life long friends, and connections." she smiles down at her daughter, she then turns to her husband. "I say we let her take the hunter exam. It'll be good for her."
Willow smiles brightly up at her mother at this, "See, see!" She yells, pointing to her mother. "Mom says I can go."
"Yes, well I say you can't go."
"Oh come one boss. Just let the kid go. I'll be taking the exam again this year, so I'll watch over the little princess for you." Hisoka says, from his place on the high window.
Chrollo narrows his eyes at him, "That's it. Your definitely no going now young lady."
"But-"
"No. Go to your room. Now." Chrollo tells her, on the verge of yelling.
"Fine! Be that way!" Willow yells at her father, running up the stairs and slamming the door to her temporary room.
"Well… Look like I'm no longer needed here." and with that, the magician takes his leave as well.
Dream sit's down on a broken piece of cement and sighs at her husband, "You know, you're gonna have to accept that she's growing up. She's gonna wanna explore the world on her own. Leave the web." Chrollo checks at her word choice.
"I know that gorgeous, and I also know that I won't be able to stop it either. But I do wanna try to slow that down as much as I can."
"Is it because you're worried about all the enemies you've made?"
"No." Chrollo shakes his head. "It's definitely not that." He stares at the door to Willow's room with sad eyes. "I'm afraid that she won't need me, need us anymore. I know it's selfish of me, but a part of me wants her to always rely on us. That part wants her to stay a 5 year old girl forever."
"Is that why you haven't taught her nen? And forbide the others from talking about it around her."
Chrollo nods.
Dream sighs again, "Than for a man that can pull of countless robberies and murders without a single hitch, you're quite stupid." Chrollo glares at her, but Dream continues speaking. "It's true that Willow will grow up, but she will always come back to us as well. Because this is her home. You're gonna need to let go of her hand eventually. It's true that you won't be able to fight all of her battles for her, or even alongside her. But you'll always have her back. Willow knows this. How else do you think she was able to kill all those people as a mere child. Simple, because she knew that her dad would always have her back."
"Sorry dad. But whether you like it or not. I am taking that exam." and with that, Willow jumps out of her window.
On the cool windy night of January 4th, 5 hours after her argument with her father, Willow Lucilfer makes a decision that would change her life forever. She decides to follow in her mother's footsteps, and take the hunter exam.
