hello again! Thanks for coming back! I am posting two chapters on the same day because I felt like it :). Now here we need to assume that Frisk didn't go through the whole underground before leaving for this to work. But I wanted to get these two little cinnamon rolls to have a little loving sibling talk before the Frisk and Sans stuff happens. Yeah that's it, also this chapter will be longer than the other one because yee. Enjoy!
In Mt. Ebott on Thursday
After everyone has left the top of Mt. Ebott and was headed down to the neighborhood nearby, Chara was inside the mountain. She had already been to the surface and she didn't like it at all. She preferred the Underground over anything in the world.
While everyone was leaving the underground, Chara decided to go to where she had first woken up, at the flowerbed where her grave was. For some reason she had a feeling to go back there and just think about everything that happened in the past two days. From when she was woken up to the barrier being broken. She sat down on the buttercups and started to recount all of Frisks journey in the underground. Chara started thinking about how Frisk was able to save all of monsterkind. She thought about how Frisk was a better person than her and how Asriel would be much happier having him as a best friend than her.
Right before Chara was going to shed a tear, she heard a voice to her left, "...Chara?" She recognized the voice immediately.
n"Hi Azzy, did you miss me?" responded Chara looking over to him, Asriel tried to hug Chara but ended up just phasing through her and falling on the buttercups. Chara giggled at the sight.
"Sadly my good brother, you can't touch me. I am merely a spirit frolicking in this field of beautiful yellow flowers." Chara said dramatically like she used to when Asriel was sad. This being her response only activated more tears.
"Chara….I'm sorry I failed you. I-I was scared and-"
"Azzy. I'm the one who should be sorry. I got us both killed and put all of the underground in despair, I should be sorry I even brought you into this," said Chara, starting to tear up herself, "You probably don't want to be friends anymore, I completely understand. Frisk is a much better person than I'll ever be."
"Chara..."
"I'm not good enough, never was and never will be-"
"Chara!"
"Just go be with mom and dad and Frisk, go be happy. That's all I ever wanted for you-"
"CHARA DREEMURR! You are definitely good enough! and I'm only happy if you're with me! You're my sibling and I love you, and if you say that stuff again then...then...I'll go get Frisk and he'll do whatever he does to make you believe me!" Asriel yelled with tears in his eyes. Asriel is in complete shock that Chara thought of herself like this. Then Asriel suddenly stopped crying and became smaller and green.
"Oh no." whispered Asriel while he was undergoing his transformation back into Flowey. Chara watched in sadness as her brother turned into a soulless flower. It was hard for her to think that because of her plan to free the monsters it did the opposite and made her brother a mass killer.
"Hey Chara," said Flowey, "I have a question, why did you fall into the underground?"
Chara jumped at the question, "Well, Humans weren't the nicest to me. My parents abused me and sold me to an orphanage to pay their debt and there was not a single kid like me. I was kicked and scratched and had bruises and cuts 24/7."
"Can I kill them?" asked Flowey a creepy smile forming on his face.
Chara was expecting that reaction so she responded, "I'm pretty sure they're dead by now."
"Good they deserve it!"
"...Anyways, one time I was reading a book when suddenly a group of boys grabbed it and ripped out all the pages and threw each one at me. I tried to run but they only threw more," said Chara staring in the distance, "And that was the last straw for me so I ran away to Mt. Ebott. At the time I just wanted to disappear. I jumped down, you found me, and I became a part of the loving, kind, Dreemurr family."
Chara didn't like looking back at her old past because it brought back bad memories but she liked to think that after all that torture, she was able to find the family and friends she deserved.
"Chara, I'm so sorry." said Flowey, actually sounding sad.
"Well, since I've had my fair share of the surface world, I'll stay down here with you until Frisk eventually comes to get you." said Chara, getting comfortable.
"Why would you think Frisk would come get me?" asked Flowey.
"Because that's the type of person Frisk is, his determination makes him try to save every single person that was stuck down here. He might even try to save me somehow."
"Hey Chara?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm glad you're here."
"me too."
