Alright, Chapter 2 already! In reality, I'm grinding out as many chapters as I can at once, so I won't be able to see any comments left on these first couple chapters. Into the story!

As the monsters began shuffling to allow someone to step forward, the Angel said, ' My money is on the Giant,' sensing the immortal spawn of Gaia and Tartarus amongst the crowd moving closer. "You know I don't make fool's bets," Devin mumbled as the giant was revealed, huge mechanical goggle looking eyes analyzing each of them, quickly glossing over him before focusing on the Hunters, completely forgetting him entirely. "Ah, Artemis! How good to see you again!" Orion said, extending his arms out as if waiting for a hug. "Orion," Artemis growled, "Shouldn't you be in Tartarus? If I remember correctly, didn't the praetor of New Rome strangle you with her cloak blessed by Athena?" Orion growled and responded "Don't remind me. I'll pay her a visit after we're done, but first, we've got some unfinished business." Devin, deciding he'd heard enough, said, "Yeah, well that 'business' is gonna have to stay unfinished for a little while longer bud, we were in the middle of a conversation," gaining the attention of everyone there as he finished, "and I hate it when someone interrupts my conversation." If Orion had normal eyes, they would've narrowed as he said, "And who might you be, mortal?" Devin's eyes narrowed as he responded, "The mortal that's gonna send you back to the Pit you call father in a doggie bag, giant," mentally preparing his dual wielded weapons to be summoned. ' But which ones? ' The Angel asked as the giant began laughing and Artemis looked at him incredulously. "You think that you can kill me alone? It takes a mortal AND a god to kill me, and even with Artemis here, how do you plan on killing me, mortal?" The giant boasted. Having enough of the giant underestimating him, Devin begun summoning his double handed revolvers and, with a shit eating smirk, said "Believe me gigante, I'm the roughest, toughest mortal you'll EVER meet!," his revolvers completely forming in his hands. As he pointed both at the giant, Orion looked surprised and slightly insulted, saying "Are you truly that stupid, or suicidal? Mortal weapons have no effect on the mythical world!" Devin grinned, slightly sadistically, and asked, "Oh? Who told you that?", pulling back the hammer of each revolver. It seemed the giant had come to a realization and became nervous as he said "Well...-," before getting cut off by Devin pulling the trigger on each gun, sending two bullets straight into his head. Devin's right hand began glowing a transparent black as the giant, instead of growing back the flesh in the bullet holes, fell over and crumpled to dust, shocking everyone there, monster and Hunter alike. "Well! I don't know about you all, but my bullets seemed to do the job just fine!," he said, pointing his revolvers at random monsters as he continued, "Anyone else wanna test their luck against this 'mortal'?" None moved, so Devin made the first move and begun firing indiscriminately into the crowd of monsters, prompting the Hunters to join in and the monsters to charge forward in a vain attempt to strike at one of them. Devin's revolvers were enchanted however, making it so that he wouldn't need to manually reload them unless he used a different type of bullet, so he never needed to pause his mowing down of the monsters, shooting each one that was closer than the rest until there were no more. Seeing no more monsters, the Hunters turned and reaimed at Devin as he dismissed his guns back to tattoo form on his back and slipped his hand into his coat's pockets while saying, "Well, that was fun!" The Angel, who had remained silent up until now, said 'You should've left one alive so that we could get information on WHY they were here,' causing Devin to pause and exclaim "CRAP! You couldn't have said something BEFORE?!" 'You were 'in the moment', and I couldn't pull you out of that now could I?' The Angel replied mischievously. Devin groaned and looked up at the sky and asked "Really?! You're gonna remind me of that NOW?! Of all times?!" Before the argument could escalate, Artemis spoke up "What? Has your other aspect said something?" Devin looked back to her and, exasperated, said "Yes, he chose now to inform me that I should've left one or, at the very least, waited a little bit longer to find out why they showed up.," causing Artemis to facepalm. "Well, you do not seem to be an enemy, but in any case, I do have to bring you in front of the council to let you prove yourself not a threat" She said. Looking around at all the dust, he sighed and said "Alright then, I don't have anything planned yet anyway." Artemis ordered her hunters to return to their campsite and stepped forward. As she placed her hand on his shoulder and begun gathering her energy to flash them to Olympus, he mumbled "Although, I do have to talk with the elements and set up meetings with THEM as well.," making her look at him strangely as they flashed away.

Welp, there's Chapter 2 done and ready! And hell, I've already got a good idea brewed up for Chapter 3, the Council Meeting! I won't give much away, but I can promise that there will be a clash of personalities between Devin and Zeus! But for now, I'm taking a little break. So leave ya reviews and I'll read and take some into consideration. Oh, and this time, I plan on actually updating this one regularly! Ciao, Dragonoid.
