CHAPTER 2: The Mission and a New Enemy.
Several hours before...
We are in the principal's office at the Beacon Academy. In it, there were two men arguing. One of them had gray hair, glasses, a cane, and a cup of coffee. He was the Beacon Academy chief and director, Ozpin. In front of him, a young man was furious with Ozpin. He had a denim hat with a black jacket over his shoulders. On his right arm, it was seen to have some kind of strange blood: shiny and blue and the entire left arm was covered in a metal gauntlet. Around his waist, he now has a multi-bullet brown belt buckled with a peculiar emblem: a red humanoid face with two wings. He had two pistols hanging on either side of his waist and a cigar in his mouth.
Ozpin: You are exaggerating things.
?: For you, exaggerating is trying to protect everyone?!
Ozpin: You know we do everything in our hands to...
The cowboy hits the table, furious.
?: Do not laugh at me! We have to tell the truth before it's too late!
Ozpin: And what do you suggest we do: tell everything and panic or continue to fight in secret so that no one has to suffer?
?: I, at least, am realistic. We can't go on like this. We have to cancel the Vytal Festival.
Ozpin: You speak just like James.
The man in the jacket calms down and sighs, defeated.
?: Look, I don't want to fight you, Oz. But you must understand that sometimes we have to make difficult decisions and I know you know it.
Ozpin: I know.
Suddenly, the elevator opens, revealing Team RWBY.
Ruby: Professor, did you want to see us?
Yang: Oh, I was gathered.
?: Don't worry, little missy's. I had already finished here.
He turns to leave, when he sees the four students. He looks at them carefully, before greeting them with his hat, leaving.
?: "Well, well ... Regardless of whether he listens to me or not, this year is going to be very interesting".
Blake: Okay...
Weiss: That was so weird
Ruby: Professor Ozpin, who was it?
Ozpin: An old friend, a true prodigy made Hunter.
Upon hearing this, Ruby runs to the desk, stars in her eyes.
Ruby: REALLY?!
Her three companions slap their foreheads in disbelief at their leader's childish attitude.
Ozpin: Yes, what happens is that you prefer anonymity. Well, the reason he wanted them to come and give them their first special mission.
The desk pulls out a 3D projector and displays an image of Dr. Eggman.
Ozpin: I suppose you remember this man, right?
Weiss: How could I forget the madman who summoned a water god, divided the world to try to control a millennial monster, created an interstellar amusement park that actually aimed a mind control cannon and manipulated time to dominate the Earth?
Blake: And things are still missing. However, Professor, why are you showing us Eggman?
Ozpin shows them another image and in this one a portal appears with a world coming out of it. Team RWBY did not come out of his fury, while Ozpin drank his coffee.
Ozpin: As you can see, the situation is unusual. So I have gathered them here. You are the only ones who have enough experience to deal with this person.
Ruby: Thanks, but alone we can't ...
Ozpin smiles as the elevator opens, showing familiar faces.
Ozpin: That's why I thought it would be a good idea to call some of your friends.
RWBY: SONIC!
The four smile when they see their blue friend, while Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose enter and greet them.
Tails: How are you girls?
Knuckles: Hey, Blonde! You still owe me a rematch.
Yang: You have it.
Amy: Glad to see you, Ruby.
Blake: Glad to see you. But how come you are here?
Sonic: When Egghead does a trick, I'm always around.
Tails: Besides, it is not difficult to see the Eggmobile.
Ozpin: You and Sonic and your friends are the only ones who can stop that person. Team RWBY, what do you say?
Ruby: You can count on us!
Yang: I have a couple of issues with Egghead.
Weiss: Well, this shouldn't be so difficult now that we've dealt with it many times already.
Blake: You forget you can't let your guard down when it comes to Eggman.
Sonic: Don't worry; we are a team, right?
In the present...
Weiss: And to think that we were going to see even the Wisps ... But Blake is right.
Ruby: Yes, the truth is that this guy made me nervous.
Sonic: So a very good Hunter at work, huh...? Well, as long as I'm not our enemy, there's no problem. Ruby: You know, Sonic, I think that guy will be the least of our problems.
At the Eggman base, activity continues. Orbot and Cubot spend animals placing them in an assembler, turning them into energy sources for the robots.
Eggman: Transformation 101: From Animal to Badnik! Ta-da! An instant army! I need a huge army if I want to conquer TWO worlds.
Eggman gloats in front of a peculiar creature. It is a large red being. Most of its upper body is pure red, as is its serpentine tail. He has five-fingered hands that end with cyan-colored sharp nails. Its body, from the waist down, is black in coloration, ending in two-clawed feet with cyan toes. Its head is relatively small compared to the rest of its body, and its lower jaw protrudes, displaying a row of spike fangs. The upper half of the head is black except for the red markings around its eyes, which are purple with yellow sclera. It has what appears to be a relatively thick cyan colored unicorns that form a loosely V-shaped ridge. Starting at the sides of the head, it has two vicious curved horns that are streaked in various shades of dark gray. He appears to be bald, but has a cyan-colored ponytail that protrudes from the back of his head. It has two rows of sharp black spikes protruding from its shoulders. Her only outfit appears to be a pair of black bracelets with protruding gray spikes.
?: I see that you are made into a mighty conqueror ...
The creature crosses its arms while speaking sarcastically, although the good doctor does not realize it.
Eggman: Yes! The truth is that I am. You conquered you ... or am I wrong, Zavok?
This last sentence causes a slight anger in the now known as Zavok, which Eggman ignores.
Eggman: And with your help, I will not only conquer two worlds: Earth and Remannt ... but I will destroy that blue nuisance and its student friends forever!
Zavok: Eggman wants to destroy that hedgehog, but what he has said about those girls is interesting. What kind of human learners can cause so much trouble?
?. 2: Yeah, well, i want to destroy something too!
Out of the shadows comes a creature like Zavok. He is very tall and has very thin limbs and body structure. The upper half of his body appears to be vibrant pink, while his waist-down body is pure black, ending in two-clawed feet with purple toes. A much smaller third claw appears to protrude from its heels. It has a long tail that appears bent into a vague "Z" shape, similar to that of Knuckles. It has a row of small black beaks running down its back, from the base of its neck to the middle of its spine. Her slender arms end in proportionally large five-fingered hands, each finger with purple nails. It has an elongated head with a large open mouth, which never closes. It has long, thin, sharp teeth and a long cyan tongue, which is almost always seen hanging from the side of its mouth. It has green irises with yellow sclera and black markings under each eye. On top of its head, it has a pair of outward-pointing horns, colored in alternating rings of black and light purple. Among them is a purple-haired mohawk. He also wears a pair of black spiked gray wristbands and a matching spike necklace.
Zavok: That's what I like about you, Zazz. Always ready to fight, even without knowing what you are up against.
Zazz: You can bet on it! Tell me who and where and I will tear you to pieces!
Zazz launches for the fight, while laughing maniacally. Zavok, however, remained calm.
Zavok: Win or lose, I will learn something new from our enemies.
