Chapter 2

Kpov

I woke up from one of the best dreams yet. I was chasing a man in green through an alley way and then he turned and pressed me into a wall with his cane then I woke up. I felt on the moon from this chase of my mystery man.

I stretched and decided to take a shower as it was only 7:30 and my appointment wasn't until 9. As I went into the small white bathroom I heard Sally meow to let me know she was there as she jumped up on the sink.

I striped than stepped into the small shower grabbed my shampoo and washed my hair than grabbed my soap and washed my body down.I shut off the shower and stepped out and grabbed a towel off the rack.

As I grabbed it I almost fell tripping on Sally as she ducked between my legs as I moved wanting attention. "Sally you know better than to get between mommy's feet" I cooed at her picking her up and cuddling her for a moment once I had my towel securely around me.

I went back into my room and looked in my small closet picking out a pair of black dress slacks and a crisp white shirt with a black dress jacket to go with it all leaving a few buttons undone at the top of the jacket.

I went into the kitchen and went to the brown worn cupboards and pulled out some soft food and a plate for Sally. I put the food on the plate than set it on the floor for her. "bye pretty girl see you later" I coo to her as I head out the door.

I make my way down the stairs and out the front door passing my nieghbour Mongo he stands 5' 11" with brown hair tan skin and dark sun glasses.

He tips his light brown cowboy hat to me greeting a "howdy" on the way by heading up the stairs. "Hey Mongo" I say as we pass each other. I reach the door to go outside pushing lightly on it.

I turn and head to the back of our little building to the parking lot. I see my 1999 Grey four door Honda Civic, I got as a Gift for graduating University with top marks.

I open the door and slide in the drivers side and start the engine. The first thing that comes to life is the radio then my engine. The song "That's not my name" by the Ting Tings comes on.

I hum that tune as I back out of the parking lot and turn onto the main drag of the narrows. As I head onto the main highway I curse the traffic as I go. It's always slow, but as I get closer to the Island the traffic things out considerably.

I pull up to the gates of Arkham Asylum to be greeted by a hairdresser. I tell him I'm here for the interview for the job for psychiatrist. "My name is Katherine Praisy" he looks down at his computer and types quickly.

"I see you here miss you may go through have a good day" he says politely. I drive over to the parking lot and park my car. I feel almost a sense of awe looking at the big building that is Arkham Asylum. I head towards the big doors that lead into the Asylum.

I step inside them and am greeted by a cheery receptionist "Hi my name is Becca how may I help you today?" she asks kindly. "Hi I'm Katherine Praisy and I'm here for the job interview for psychiatrist" I say to her a little nervous.

She smiles at me and says "Oh Dr. Arkham's office is just down the hall there at the end, if you would like to go down to see him and I will inform him your there" she says kindly.

I head towards the door at the end of the hallway that says Dr.Arkham on the glass. I go up to it and give a light poliet knock on the door. I hear "come in" through the door.

I open the door and step inside and the first thing I see is a beautiful dark oak desk. It looks amazing sitting there with matching chairs on either side of the desk. Dr.Arkham looks every bit the sophisticated gentleman people describe him as.

"Hello, I'm Dr.Arkham and you must be Dr.Paisly correct?" he asks politely taking my hand in his and giving it a light squeeze. "Yes I am thank you for seeing me today about the job interview" I say as I sit down as he indicated to a chair accross form him.
