Chapter 2 Ocean
It's odd for her, especially, to feel this guilty and this lonely, its been 6 years since she let herself indulge in a sinful act, she let her best friend take advantage of her even tho she is sober, she gained a night of bliss and pleasure but lost a life time of love and commitment.
A knock on her apartment's door brought her back from the pit of overthinking "Kotori, are you up?" a soft motherly like voice called, accompanied by other voices.
Kotori opened the door of her apartment and was greeted by her friends, half expecting that a certain blue haired girl was with them but it was the same for 6 years there was no sign of her lover, if she still have the right to call her that.
The sudden change of mood of the ashen haired girl was noticed by the motherly figure of the group,
"Let's start cooking lunch, ne Kotori-chan?" Nozomi said giving Kotori the warmest smile she could muster, she knows that all this time, even without their lyricists presence Kotori still loves Umi, she knows that what the fashion designer did back then was unforgivable, especially for Umi, but they couldn't do a thing, after that night of revelation, a week after that Umi wasn't nowhere to be found, first she distant her self, then left the group even before they have an official disbandment, after that she was gone. Her parents wont tell them any information and after a year of searching they gave up, knowing Umi doesn't want to be found at all.
They entered Kotori's apartment, once they all are inside its was then she noticed a certain person she don't want to ever see. "Honoka" She called her and the latter looked at her, guilt and sadness was evident on the bread lover's eyes.
Rage was building up, tears started to form on Kotori's eyes, as seeing this person made her remember vividly the things she did, the things she said, the things she should never do but did it anyway, the mere shadow of Honoka made her remember how painful Umi's expression, how it broke Kotori's heart to see her beloved archer cry and quietly walk out of the house, onto the street, and out of her life.
Realization hits the other member of Muse, they completely forgot that the ginger head leader was with them and before they could react Honoka was on her knees facing a angry Kotori.
"I'm sorry!,I'm so sorry Kotori-chan!" Honoka was crying at this point, she regretted it, she shouldn't have done it, she shouldn't take advantage of someone who is weak but she did, Kotori was weak at that time since she and Umi had gotten into a fight. This sudden move only fueled Kotori's angry state.
"Get out of my house" Kotori said with firm voice and hate was evident in every letter of every word.
"Kotori, please, please forgive me, I didn't mean to do it, I didn't mean to... I... P.. Please..I" Honoka stood up and tried to move forward, to hug Kotori, to beg for forgiveness but was denied, 6 years yet Kotori can't bring herself to forgive her former best friend.
Nico stepped in with Maki beside her and convinced Honoka to leave, which the latter did.
As soon as Honoka stepped out of the apartment and was nowhere within sight Kotori broke down, Rin Hanayo and Nozomi kneeled by her side as the poor girl let out the bottled up emotion, the others looked at her, hurt by the state the girl is in, how can a cheerful person like Kotori hide this painful, sorrowful and deep feeling, no one knows.
Eli looked at the window realizing why the ashen haired girl chose this place as her home, the russian went to the balcony smiling bitterly.
Kotori and the others followed her once Kotori calmed a bit.
"The ocean is beautiful" Kotori said with a genuine smile "It reminds me of her, Umi-chan" Again, tears started to flow from her eyes.
"Indeed" Eli said with a smile.
"The ocean reminds us of her"
The calm waves that remind them of her nature, calm and collected sometimes intense and scary, the deep blue color that reminds them of her hair that is flowing flawlessly, and the warm feeling the ocean serves reminds them of her unique personality, indeed with her disappearing so suddenly without a trace made them longed for her, though it was unfair that they miss her more than their leader, it may seem unfair how they remember their dear archer compared on how they remember their dear leader, it seems so unfair but that is what they feel.
"Ne, let's have lunch?" Maki broke the comfortable silence.
"You're hungry aren't you? Nico teased her lover causing for the red head to blush.
"A-Am not!"
The others laugh and Kotori smiled, they all agreed to start making lunch. Kotori looked back at the ocean smile forming on her face.
"I hope we will see each other soon, Umi"
The Ocean will always be special to her.
Meanwhile on the other end of earth,
"I forgot my passport" The blue haired girl said shock of how irresponsible she is
"What?!" A girl with a lighter hair color shouted, face palming "Cous, why are you like this we are literally outside of the airport now!"
"I'm sorry! I'll catch up!" with that the blue haired girl went to her car with several men following her making sure she will be safe, then went and sped home.
