She left out a last sigh while looking into the mirror. Retouched the makeup, not because it was necessary, but because it brought her a certain sense of comfort.

To win the crown of Junior Prom Queen would be the cherry at the top of a perfect cake she baked throughout this school year. Her grades were great, and she attended with excellence all the clubs she judged relevant to a good academic curriculum. Furthermore, she had already peeked into the envelope with the name of the winners and her name was there as clear as it could be: Valerie Malfoy – Prom Queen.

Her dress was perfect, a pale blue one that contrasted beautifully with her light skin and blond hair. She once had a low self-esteem phase, but it was a while ago. Today she could look at the mirror and see the beautiful young lady she actually was. She even noticed a classmate of hers, that was also using the toilet, admiring her through the reflection of the mirror while washing her hands. As soon as their looks met the embarrassed girl turned off the tap and exited the room leaving Valerie alone. At least that was what she thought.

She was distracted from her thoughts by the creaking sound of one of the doors behind her opening. Two men left the stall that she judged to be empty.

"Miss Malfoy, we are here with the MACUSA." – the shorter man said while the two of them displayed some sort of identification she didn't recognize.

"What is going on?" – she asked, confused.

"It's your mother. You gotta come with us." – the taller man said indicating the exit door.
