Jianna dodged the moving target, somersaulted partially in the air, and scythed the trainer's legs from underneath him. She then stood up and wiped the sweat off her forehead.

"Another point for Jianna!" Her brother Jonathan called. Jianna looked over and was surprised to see Jocelyn with him. Since when did they even look at each other?

"Jonathan. I've gotta tell you something I overheard yesterday!" Jianna pulled at his arm.

"If it's one of your stupid gossip points you and your friends discuss, I don't want to hear it. I swear, if I hear one more detailed story about Addiya's boyfriend, I'm gonna throw up." Jonathan followed Jianna reluctantly.

"No, it's not." Making sure that Jocelyn and her trainer were deep in conversation and weren't paying attention, she continued: "I overheard a pilot reporting to Windu. He was pretty shaken up, talking about an alien creature that wasn't a species he recognized, and showed a Windu a hologram photo. Windu said he didn't know what species that was either. He said he'd search the holonet. But I recognized the species. It's the same aliens that killed Mom and Dad!"

"What?" Jonathan hissed.

"We need to report this!" Jianna tugged on his arm again.

"Are you sure?" Jonathan replied, deep in thought.

"Are you suggesting we handle this ourselves?" Jianna looked appalled.

"Yeah. It should be easy. I'm a Jedi, and you're a kick-ass fighter that's Mandolorian-worthy," Jonathan shrugged.

"How can you be so naive? This is an entire species, we don't even know where to start!" Jianna argued.

"We could find out easy enough."

"No! It's harder than it looks, Jonathan! Wherever you go on missions, you're always with Obi Wan and Anakin! I'm always by myself, with no information! Sure, I've only done two for an emergency, but only because I'm underage! Trust me, it's nearly impossible to track someone down without an experienced tracker or any promising leads!" Jianna said fiercely.

"Fine. Let's say we got a trained Jedi to help us. What then?" Jonathan said impatiently.

"Then we might have a chance," Jianna reassured.

"Okay. Let's get Obi Wan to-," Jonathan was cut off by none other but Obi Wan, who swept into the room with quick speed, an alarmed look on his face.

"Jonathan. Jianna. We need reinforcements. Down on Ryloth. Bail Organa is in trouble. Come with me," Obi Wan demanded.

"Okay, okay, coming," Jianna rushed off after Obi Wan, and Jonathan followed behind her.

Jonathan raced after his master. They had just gotten off the ship. Bail had ordered Jianna to go and fight on the front lines. Initially, Jonathan would be worried for his eleven-year-old sister, but she could kick ass on the battlefield. He pitied whoever had to challenge her.

"Jonathan, they need us in the battle station. Most of the forces are targeting the clones stationed there," Obi Wan explained to his padawan.

"What am I gonna do without a lightsaber?" Jonathan asked, the thought just occuring to him.

"Hand-to-hand if necessary. Use your blaster first, though," Obi Wan said thoughtfully.

Jonathan took his position and was almost immediately killed by destroyer droids.

"Damn, I thought that this would be a good day," Jonathan muttered as he used the force to crush the droid. He grabbed his blaster and fired at the seperatist droids, clankers, and disabled five in one run. Obi Wan, meanwhile was slashing the droids apart menacingly with his lightsaber.

Jonathan's mind went on autopilot as he whirled, firing everywhere he saw a droid with deadly accuracy. He was only partially aware that Obi Wan and Mace Windu were fighting alongside him, Jianna fighting at the front lines, Jocelyn securing the station behind him, and the clones firing their blasters at the opposing droids.

Eventually, every last droid was annihilated.

"Damn, Jonathan. You went off," Jianna laughed, cracking her knuckles as she did so.

"You were good too," Jonathan protested.

"Not as good as you," Jianna grinned.

"You were good," Obi Wan said thoughtfully. "Thanks to us, Bail Organa has won this victory over Ryloth. But rest assured that the separatists will never forget what happened here. They neither forgive nor forget."

"We'll just have to be ready for when that happens," Jocelyn chimed in. Jonathan gestured for her to follow him, and walked out of the station.

"I need to talk to you," Jonathan told her once they stopped.

"No duh. What is it?" Jocelyn rolled her eyes.

"I'm considering forgiveness," Jonathan hinted.

"Look, I don't care if you forgive me or not. I don't care what you think of me. All I know is that I acknowledged that I messed up and there's nothing I can do about it." This was one of the things Jonthan liked about Jocelyn. Her spunk and stubbornness.

"I'll let you know when I figure it out," Jonathan acted as if he didn't hear her.

"'Kay," Jocelyn then skipped away to Jianna, aiming to congratulate her.

"You should forgive her." His master's voice came from behind him. Jonathan whirled.

"How do you do that?" Jonathan asked, partially annoyed.

"Practice," Obi Wan replied simply.

"I will forgive her. I just need time," Jonathan explained.

"She was four, may I remind you?" Obi Wan sighed impatiently.

"I know. It's stupid. But it still hurt all the same," Jonathan protested.

"Part of being a Jedi is learning to forgive and forget. Of course, you may never forget, but at least you can forgive," Obi Wan insisted.

"Master?" Jonathan asked.

"Yes, padawan?" Obi Wan turned to Jonathan.

"Have you ever wondered...if there's a different world? A different reality we can't touch? Somewhere deep in the galaxy?" Jonathan had thought about this instance on several occasions. The most popular one was, admittedly, at night before he went to sleep.

"Yes. But I decided some things aren't worth dwelling on," Obi Wan advised. "You should too."

"It's hard to not dwell upon," Jonathan argued.

"The skill is learned through patience. We still need to work on that to block out unnecessary thoughts," Obi Wan turned to leave. Jonathan was left confused.

Jianna plopped on her bed. She was exhausted from her fight on Ryloth. But she was also very confused.

Jianna, before she'd left Ryloth, had found some kind of blade. It had the style of a short knife, and had some kind of symbol above the hilt. The symbol was one from the marmoran stories she'd read as a child. This blade was called a Marmora blade. But that was supposedly in stories! Nobody had ever proved the clan of Marmora was real, much less found a blade of a warrior! But Jianna did.

A knock sounded on her door. She stuffed the knife under her pillow and yelled "come in!"

It was her friend Maravi. Maravi had marks on her upper cheekbones, just below her eyes, pointed ears, and long, white hair. Maravi claimed that she was an ancient species, one that could not be found on this edge of the galaxy, but Jianna alone was suspicious.

"Hey," Jianna motioned for Maravi to sit down.

"Hi. I came to fetch you. Ahsoka requests you in the main hangar," Maravi smiled.

"What for?" Jianna asked, confused.

"You'll have to find out for yourself," Maravi's smile faded.
