Author's Note: So I'd like to point out right away that some of the behavior from Bakugo and Tsuyu might seem out of place, Bakugo especially. But keep this in mind while you read, Bakugo has had someone he held close to him brought back into his life in such an unexpected fashion, he's bound to try adjusting to it in the way he sees best. As for Tsuyu, well she's always cared for him, and where as some feelings die off over the years, the opposite can happen, and feelings can strength many times over, which is what's going on in her case.

But with that out of the way, I don't really have much else to say other than for you all to enjoy the read, and if you did, leave a comment! Your feedback means so much to me, and I'll see you all again next time!

Bomber's Heart

The rest of their reunion had been spent in each other's arms. The only words spoken for the longest time were the incoherent grumbling from an emotionally torn Bakugo, who even with memories of how he felt, was still adjusting to the feeling known as love.

And yet as he rambled away, calling himself stupid numerous times, Asui stayed nestled up to him, her head pressed against his chest. She would've stopped him, would've told him that none of the things he was saying were true, but knew it was better to let him get everything out before chastising him on his new view of himself.

He'd emotionally repressed himself for so long, letting his anger control his every action, and keeping everything that didn't pertain to pride locked away. So when he found himself bombarded with so many feelings that could only be described as foreign, he unraveled, this, along with the memories he'd recently unearthed, brought Bakugo to believe that he was filth in human form, all because he forgot Asui.

When his self-loathsome rant finally came to an end, he sat there, waiting for the longest time for Asui to agree with him. And yet, she didn't, rather, she brought her hand up to the side of his face, and gently cupped it.

" ...Don't be stupid...Ribbit… " She croaked softly, her half lidded gaze meeting his bloodshot red eyes. " ...None of that is true...And you know it… "

" ...Maybe if you were someone else, I'd be inclined to believe you...But, because you're you… "

He couldn't find it in him to hold their eye contact, he'd made himself believe he was far too guilty to even be close to her.

" ...I'm the worst possible person...I'm violent to a T...I can't go ten minutes without fucking swearing...I can't even get along with anyone because I think they're all just so damn stupid...And the worst part about it all...I don't think I can ever change… "

" Then don't… "

Their eyes connected once more, this time with an incredulous look in Katsuki's eyes. He wasn't entirely sure he'd heard her right; he'd just admitted that he was a terrible person, and she'd told him not to change.

" ..What the hell do you mean..? "

She smiled at him, the same way she'd smiled when they first met. He loved that smile, even if he hadn't remembered till now, and seeing it now quelled some of the turmoil in him.

" ..I mean what I said...Don't change. You wouldn't be you if you did...The Katsuki I care about is a loud, obnoxious, rude, arrogant perfectionist...And I wouldn't have it any other way. "

Never once did Tsuyu's smile falter as she spoke, she'd meant every bit of what she was saying. Keeping her feelings for him pent up for so long had made the idea of ever getting a chance to express them seem like an impossibility. But now that she was actually given a chance, she found that the words just simply flowed out like a stream, a stream filled with her emotions.

" ...You know...If it were anyone else that would've said that, I'd have blasted them till nothing was left...But for you, I think I'll let it slide… "

He'd spoken with a genuine smile, one that only she would ever get to see. And as odd as it must have been for Asui, it was ten times as odd for Bakugo, who'd up until the attack on the USJ, had only ever responded to others with hostility and disdain, only occasionally speaking with some sense of civility. So to go so long without shouting, or even getting upset was something he hadn't experienced in a long time.

But now that he was actually doing it, he had to admit, it felt kind of nice. Too bad he'd only ever act this way around Asui, but in his mind, that was perfectly fine.

They remained in each other's embrace for the longest time, just taking in one another's warmth, conversing about the first thing that came to their minds. Katsuki didn't do much in the way of talking, but that was fine, he found out quickly that he enjoyed listening to her talk, even if he didn't care much for the subjects she brought up.

After some time, their conversations transitioned into a comforting silence, leading up to Asui dozing off in Bakugo's protective caress. The whole time Katsuki could feel his eyelids growing heavier, but never once did he even think of falling asleep. He'd stay up the whole night, making sure she slept as peacefully as could be, and if anyone even thought of waking her up they'd get the beating of a lifetime.

Morning had come, signified by the beams of the freshly risen sun and bird songs that filled the air. Even before the first bells had rung, the halls of U.A were lively as ever, despite the events that had taken place the day before.

While everyone else was going about their usual morning routines, three students from class 1-A were making their way towards the school's infirmary. The three students in question were Izuku Midoriya, Ochaku Uraraka, and Tenya Iida, all three on their way to check in on the condition of Tsuyu Asui.

" I really hope Tsu is feeling better… " Uraraka spoke with concern, Tsuyu was her best friend after all. They'd bonded relatively quickly, much to her own surprise. What had Uraraka concerned however, wasn't Tsuyu's condition, not entirely. Asui was strong, stronger than Uraraka could ever imagine herself being, so there was no need to worry about her not getting better. Rather, she was worried about the fact that they'd left her in the company of Katsuki Bakugo, the last person she'd trust her friend with.

" Yes. I too am hopeful that Asui is awake and feeling better. " Iida added, and while he didn't show it, inside he was just as concerned as Uraraka. He was the class representative, it was his job to look out for his fellow students, to ensure their safety, but in his mind he'd been too slow, and as a result Tsuyu, and though it was mostly done to himself, Bakugo, had been injured.

Midoriya had remained mostly silent for the duration of the walk, only speaking to add on whatever either of his friends were talking about. Since he'd left the infirmary the day prior, his mind had been on Bakugo's behavior. He'd seemed so docile, so unlike himself when he'd laid his eyes on Asui, it made Midoriya happy that he was showing an emotion other than anger, but at the same time, it confused him.

He'd been so preoccupied thinking about how there was hope for Bakugo to change, or at least be more like his younger self, and less like how he was now, but never stopped to wonder exactly why he was acting that way. Asui played some part in it all, that much was clear as day, what wasn't was just what that part was.

Letting out a sigh, choosing to just finally shove it all aside, putting his focus on the reason he and his friends even set out in the first place. Checking on Tsuyu, and seeing if she'd woken up or not.

" I'm sure she's fine now you two...Her family might be a bit worried, she did stay overnight, but everything will be alright. "

" Yeah, you're right Deku! " Uraraka said with a smile, bringing out the slightest hint of flush in the green-haired boy's face.

" Y-yeah! I guess I-I am. " He grinned sheepishly, pushing ahead to the door that Asui had been sleeping in, putting his hand on the knob. " I..I'm gonna take a quick peek and see if she's awake so you guys can uh..,Surprise her! "

With haste, Midoriya opened the door, only getting one foot in before the undeniable sensation of malice washed over him.

Staring at him from across the room with the most hate-filled glare he could manage, was Bakugo, who had been sitting in Asui's bed all night, keeping the girl in his arms.

Midoriya's whole body froze up as the scorn in Katsuki's eyes caused fright to start building in his own. He'd seen Bakugo give looks like that back when they were younger; a scowl so intense that not even older kids could find the will to approach ash-blonde.

" ...You have three seconds to leave before I break your legs off, and shove them up your ass… "

While most would have taken this as nothing more than an empty threat, Midoriya knew that when "that" face was present, whatever Kacchan said, he meant. So rather than asking anything, and invoking the wrath of what seemed like an incredibly volatile Bakugo, Midoriya decided to play things smart. Turning himself around with a blank smile accompanied by an equally blank stare, he shut the door, backing away from it.

" Uhhh...Deku? Is everything alright?

" Yes Midoriya, you seem...Frightened? What was it?! Is Asui in danger?! "

" What?! Tsu's in danger?! Then let's hurry! "

Only when they moved to open the door did Midoriya's danger senses rise higher than when he'd been in the room. Before either of the two could even touch the door, Midoriya planted himself against the door, arms stretched wide.

" N-No! I...I mean she's still sleeping! S-so we shouldn't disturb her! " He could feel the nervous sweat dripping from his brow, if either of them stepped foot in there, well it wouldn't be pretty. And while he felt wrong keeping either of them from seeing Asui, he knew it would be better for them in the long run if they didn't catch Bakugo's ire.

There was a brief silence as Uraraka and Iida shared skeptic glances, but before either could say anything, the door swung open, slamming poor Midoriya into the wall behind it. Much to both their surprises, it was Bakugo who stepped out of the room, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, and a scowl worn on his face.

" ...The fuck are you extras gawking at? "

" B-Bakugo?! What...What were you doing in there?! " Uraraka said with her finger pointing accusingly.

" Indeed! What reason would you have to be in Asui's room after you so rudely forced everyone to leave?! "

They bombarded the hot headed teen with question after question, causing his temper to build by the second. His teeth were gritting and the vein on his forehead was pulsing, but as he went to shout at the two of them, he glanced back, seeing Asui sitting up and smiling at him. It'd be wrong for him to yell when her head was probably hurting more than his. He so wanted to shout, what with having gotten no sleep, but decided against it, just this once.

" ...What I do is none of your damn business, so drop it before I drop the both of you. " He glanced back once more, seeing her persisting smile, giving a small one of his own, one that vanished the moment he turned back, walking away without caring for anything that either of his classmates had to say.

" That Bakugo...He's such a jerk! "

" He certainly doesn't have the attitude needed to become a hero… "

The door that had been slammed open, slowly creaked, with Midoriya pulling himself from behind the door, clutching his nose.

" ..O..Ow...Kacchan… "

" D-Deku! Are you alright?! " Uraraka cried out.

" Wh...Why would I be alright..? " He was almost afraid to answer, sure he'd just been smashed against the wall with a door, but surely that wouldn't merit such a reaction. At least that's what he thought until he saw the blood that was dripping from his nose onto his hands. " W..WAAAH! "

Acting almost immediately, Iida sprung into action, grabbing hold of Midoriya" Don't worry Midoriya! I'll get you to Recovery Girl! " He declared, taking off down the hall before his friend even had a chance to protest.

With Uraraka being left all on her own, she decided that now would be the best time to step into the room.

" Uraraka-chan! Ribbit! "

She'd heard the sound of Asui's voice before she'd even laid eyes on her and sped up when she had, throwing her arms around the frog girl with glee in her eyes.

" Tsu! I'm sooo glad you're alright! " Uraraka, too busy expressing her affection, had failed to notice that she was perhaps hugging a tad bit too tight.

" ...Ack! Uraraka! Too tight...I'm still sore! "Asui croaked out from within her friend's grasp.

Uraraka's eyes shot open wide, jumping away from Asui with her hands held into the air. EEP! Tsu! I'm really really sorry! I just got so excited… "

Asui just smiled. " ...You don't have to say sorry Uraraka. If anything I'm the one who should be saying sorry...I must've had so many people worried...Ribbit… "

It was Uraraka's turn to give a light-hearted smile. Asui was always acting so straight faced, acting as a sort of big sister for the rest of their more excitable classmates. Having her place any sort of blame on herself was something to be expected, but that didn't mean it was true.

" Tsu...You have no reason to say sorry...We're just all glad that you're OK...But, there's one thing I do wanna talk with you about...Just between you and me...I won't tell anyone else… "

Now Tsuyu was curious. What could her friend possibly want to know that was so important that she'd even offer to keep it secret, unless.

" Ribbit...Uraraka...What do you want to know..? "

The usually bubbly expression that could be found on the gravity manipulator's face was gone, and in its place was one of seriousness, or at least it was as serious of a look as the generally cheerful girl could muster without looking comical.

" ...What was Bakugo doing here? "

Uh Oh

For Katsuki Bakugo, the rest of the school day had been an absolute snoozefest. He'd cared too little to focus on much of anything, and ignored anyone who even tried conversing with him. Unfortunately, it was everyone that had tried talking with him, whether they were asking if he was alright, or what the whole thing with Asui had been about yesterday.

But no matter what was said to him, it held the same outcome, absolute silence. His mind had been too preoccupied with thinking about how Asui was doing at the moment, the only thing that had been remotely close to luring him from out of his thoughts was the unusual look that "pink cheeks" as he dubbed Uraraka, was giving him. Something about it bothered him, and he wasn't in the mood to get bothered, so rather than having an outburst like he'd usually have done, he opted to instead deter her attention with a scowl of his own.

There was one other small occasion during the day that drew Katsuki's attention, a conversation between Mineta and Kaminari, one that he found "most interesting".

" So while everything was going on, I totally managed to cop a feel of Asui! She's got surprisingly plump boobies! "

" No foolin' man? I never would've gue- "

The conversation had been cut off half way, as a wave of dread passed over them, causing the two perverse students to freeze up. Standing behind them with his hands on both of their chairs, was a very livid Bakugo, who held an almost hellish gleam in his eyes.

" B...B...Bakugo...W...What do you wa- "

The ball throwing boy never got to finish his question, as the firm grip of Bakugo's hand on the back of his neck, followed by being lifted into the air brought all thoughts in his head to a stop.

" Oy...What the fuck do you think you're talking about, eh? Sounds pretty interesting… "

Kaminari had chosen that particular moment to distance himself from his soon to be thrashed classmate, leaving poor Mineta in the grasp of Bakugo.

" ...I...I think I just peed myself...Please let me go, Bakugo! "

That had been a poor choice of words, as it brought a wicked grin to Bakugo's already demonic looking face.

" Oh I'll let you go alright...RIGHT INTO THE STRATOSPHERE! "

Bakugo had gone to hurl the little pervert, with the intent of hurling him straight through the ceiling. But the act was interrupted by a loud "ahem" and turning to see who it was that stopped him, revealed his teacher, mister Aizawa, wrapped from head to toe in bandages.

" Bakugo, place Mineta back in his seat and return to yours. I understand everyone had a rough day yesterday, but getting yourself expelled by killing a fellow student isn't how you should cope. "

A scoff was Bakugo's response, but even so he had no choice but to comply with the man's demand. He'd just have to destroy the little creep at some other time, but he could still enjoy "placing" Mineta in his seat, with a little force of course.

This "out-of-character" behavior, as his classmates had described it, continued through for the entirety of the day. He'd attempted skipping lunch, hoping to get another chance to talk with Asui, only to find out she'd been sent home for the next two days, a precaution on the off chance her concussion persisted. While he was all for ensuring she was safe, he could only describe the situation he found himself now as "bullshit".

But rather than throwing a fit about something he had no control over, he decided on using it to his own advantage. Wasting no time, he made his way to the corner that Aizawa had slinked off to, and demanded Tsuyu Asui's homework, so that he might bring it to her. This caught his teacher off guard, not that he could tell, the man looked like a mummy, but mummy or not he had no reason to argue.

By giving the work to Bakugo, he'd have one less thing to worry about, and Katsuki would have an excuse to visit Asui. It was a win-win situation, at least in Katskuki's eyes.

Thankfully, Aizawa saw it the same way, even if he was skeptical about Bakugo's reasonings.

That was how Katsuki found himself in his current situation, arm outstretched to knock on Asui's front door, his body frozen in place by a sudden influx of thoughts. Irrational thoughts that pertained to the possibility that Asui wouldn't want him there, he'd shown up out of the blue, and even with the reason of bringing her homework, some ridiculous part of himself was certain he was the last person she'd want to see.

" ...Come on! Just fucking knock...It's not hard! "

Without realizing it, he'd found himself pacing, ranting as he went back and forth. He must've looked so ridiculous at that moment, practically walking a hole into the front doorsteps. Only after a fierce verbal lashing from himself did he work up to resolve to knock on the door.

But just as his knuckles were in the process of making contact with the door, it swung open, and standing behind it was her, Tsuyu Asui. Her eyes widened with surprise, with a big smile on her face.

" Ribbit! K...Katsuki... "

Unsure of how to react right away, Asui simply did the first thing her brain screamed at her to do, and that was pulling the angry blonde into a tight hug. wasted no time in pulling him into a hug, leaving This of course brought a bright flustered flush to the bomber hero-in training's face.

" H-hey! G-give me a warning before you do that...D..dammit! "

She knew he would react that way, but didn't care, and neither did he, as he brought one of his arms up, placing it around her back in his own awkward embrace.

The fact that he'd go through the trouble to track her house down, and come see her brought a warmth to her chest.

" ...Thank you… " Asui croaked out, feeling the prickle of tears at the corners of her eyes.

" O-Oy! Don't go starting the waterworks! I'm here now aren't I?! " He kept his head turned to the side, trying to keep his flush hidden. He'd made the unconscious decision that if anyone ever saw him blush like this, that wasn't Asui, he'd blast them into the stratosphere.

But despite his efforts to hide his reddening face, Asui still caught sight of it, broadening the smile she'd previously worn. " Yeah...You're here now. Ribbit. And I'm glad… " That when she spied the small stack of papers being carried in the arm not wrapped around her. Had he actually gone through the effort of bringing her schoolwork to her?

Noticing her eyes drawn to papers, Katsuki lifted the papers towards her. " Oh yeah...I grabbed these for you...Figured you wouldn't want your grades to slack for the day you missed...So yeah...Here. "

Asui took a step back from the flustered blonde, noticing the blush on his face persisting as, and instead of grabbing hold of the papers, she took hold of his wrist. " W-why don't you come inside...I'm kinda home alone, my parents and little siblings are all out to dinner… "

" And why the hell aren't you with them then? " Bakugo said with an arched brow.

She simply pointed to the bandaged, cocking her head to the side in a way that Bakugo couldn't help but think was adorable. " Kinda hard to go anywhere when you're supposed to be in bed recovering from a concussion. Ribbit… "

It was Katsuki's turn to grab her wrist, pulling her inside, shutting the door behind them, and having her direct him to her room. " What the hell big eyes! If you're supposed to be in bed, then why the hell are you up answering the door?! " Despite his irritated tone, the look in his eyes told a different story.

Those crimson eyes of his, though averted from her, lacked any hint of their usual hostility, holding pure concern in its stead. Caring for others was something he gave up after she left his life five years ago, the pain that came with caring was far too great for even him to want to deal with. Of course he'd never been all that great with his feelings, not that having his temper helped, he tended to snap at just about anyone who annoyed him, and that was just about everyone. But Asui, she was different, so much different in his eyes, he couldn't find it in him to even get irritated with her, with something she does, yes, but never directly with her.

Without even realizing they'd reached it, he'd sat her in bed, before finding himself absentmindedly stroking her head.

" K...Katsuki… "

" You're a pain you know...You always were...But you can't help it, so I'll let it slide… " He sat himself on the edge of her bed, looking onto her with a half-lidded gaze.

Seeing another opportunity to get him flustered, Asui moved closer to him, resting her head against his shoulder. " I'm your pain though, Katsu-Chan~ Ribbit. "

And just like she wanted, his cheeks took on a red that matched his eyes perfectly. " H-hey! The hell did I tell you about calling me that! "

His reaction was more than enough to brighten her already good mood. She remembered when they were kids how easily the nickname got under his skin, but at the same time how he never really did anything about it.

" I guess you haven't changed as much as I first thought...I'm glad. "

" Ribbit. I'm sorry Katsuki, but I saw an opportunity and took it. You've always left yourself open to that so easily. "

He scoffed, turning his head away from her. " Only cause I let it happen… "

That was the Katsuki she knew and loved, even if she wasn't quite ready to admit it so openly. Always acting so strong, like nothing ever bothered him, but she could see through the veil of strength he surrounded himself with, she always could.

Even when they were kids she could see anything that troubled him, always hiding it behind a scowl of some kind, a scowl he'd come to perfect as he grew. And while he wasn't wearing that particularly ugly expression at the moment, she could still see that something was eating away at him, something he wasn't going to talk about so easily.

So if he was going to keep it under wraps, she'd just have to ease it out of him, and so she did. Starting off with simple conversation, asking if anything particular took place during the day, to which supplied her with the details of what went down in homeroom, with his own little spin on things.

She'd learned that the sports festival was coming within the next few weeks, something he was especially eager for. Learning that not even life threatening injuries would be enough to keep Aizawa from teaching was no surprise to her, the man was stubborn, but a good teacher nonetheless. And the part about nearly crushing Mineta when he "sat" him down, made her laugh, and brought that warm sensation she was quickly becoming accustomed with, back to her chest. He'd gotten protective over her, and in her mind, that was just about the sweetest thing he could do considering who he was.

In response to him informing her of what she missed, she regaled him with her oh so exciting day. She told him about the awkward conversation with Ochaku, leaving out a few "minor" details, with his response being "Who the hell is that? " She shouldn't have been surprised, but found it humorous at the same time, he was never one to learn names unless they truly stood out to him.

She'd spoken about how when her parents got her home they refused to leave her side, saying numerous times how worried they were.

" You couldn't imagine how many times they asked me if I was alright. Ribbit. "

" That just means you have some pretty OK parents… "

But as she moved from the subject of her family's concern to how she actually felt after everything, she noticed a solemn look forming in his eyes.

Slowly, she reached her hand out, grasping his, and giving it a gentle squeeze.

" Katsuki...What's wrong? "

He didn't say anything, instead he wormed his way away from her, standing up and putting his back towards her. His head was lowered, and his hands were fiercely clenched into tights fists, so tight that she could see them trembling.

" ...How the hell...How the hell can you be so...So alright with everything...You could've died...You almost died...If that bird bastard had gotten to you… "

Her hand took hold of his once more, this time giving a much more thorough, but comforting squeeze. " But he didn't...I didn't die, and it's all because you were there, Katsuki...You saved me… "

" N...NO! I...I couldn't do anything! I was helpless against that thing...It took my strongest attacks and walked right through them...I was terrified...I thought that it would rip right through me...And crush you...If All Might hadn't got to him...Then...Then… "

In a surprising show of strength for someone with her build, Asui yanked on Bakugo's arm, spinning him around, and pulling him into her arms. She could feel him trembling, whether from rage towards himself, or fear of the possibility that she could have died. Seeking to comfort him, she moved her hand to the top of his hair, his, despite its appearance, soft hair, and began tenderly stroking.

" Shhhh...I would've been fine regardless...Because you were there...I know you're strong Katsuki, stronger than anyone I've ever personally known...But you can't win every battle on your own...You just have to settle for the victories you can get, and protecting me, in my eyes at least, was the greatest victory anyone could achieve...Of course I might be a little bias with that one concerning the circumstance. Ribbit! "

She continued caressing his head, doing her best to soothe him. " ...If anything though...It's not the fact you protected me that makes me happy...Ribbit...It's that you were there, that you remembered me...For so long I've been afraid that if we ever met again...You'd have forgotten all about me...And then when school started, and you didn't even acknowledge me...Well I...I feared for the worst… "

From inside her embrace, he chuckled half-heartedly. " ...Who could ever forget you, frog face...You're the most...The most amazing person in the world...You leave my mind for five years, and suddenly the moment you're back, you're all I can think about...It's unbelievable. If you were any other loser, I'd have forgotten you in a heartbeat...But you, you crawled your way back into my spotlight...No one can ever say they've done that before… "

His words, whether he intended them to or not, brought a bright pink glow to her cheeks. He'd called her the most amazing person in the world, and had anyone else heard him say that, would have thought he was some kind of imposter. After all, Katsuki Bakugo didn't compliment people, especially not to that degree, but he'd made an exception for her.

Bakugo picked himself up, looking far calmer than he had prior to being in her arms. A serious gleam could be seen in his eyes, one that lacked the usual arrogance that he tended to carry when he got excited. Without hesitating, he took both her hands into his, and held them firmly, never once breaking eye contact with her.

" Listen to me...And don't interrupt this time, got it? " Unsure of where he was going with this, Asui nodded, curious as to what he had to say. " No matter what you, or anyone else says...I failed yesterday, I couldn't keep you safe...But I won't let that happen ever again...I won't let anyone hurt you..I...I... "

His eyes tore away from hers, plastering themselves to the ground. " I'M GOING TO GET STRONGER! " He declared, crying out in a tone she'd never heard from him, one filled with emotion, and a new sort of determination. " I'm going to get stronger than anyone! Even All Might! I'll...I'll get stronger, I'll become the number one hero! And protect you! I SWEAR IT! "

He pulled her from the bed, and right into his arms, holding her tighter than even her parents had when she got home. It was as if he felt like letting her go would result in her just vanishing from his life. The thought that he was putting so much pressure on himself, and felt so strongly about it, broke Asui's heart.

Bakugo was such an emotionally inexperienced person, and yet he has enough heart to do something, that not even some of the greatest heroes could. There was no getting him to change his mind, he was just stubborn that way, so if he was going to shoulder all the blame, and make himself stronger to repent, she would be by his side every step of the way.

" ...You get as strong as you need to Katsuki...No matter what you do, I'll be there for you, just like you were for me. "

She smiled at him with the beautiful smile, the one he could see a million times and never get tired of it. He'd never tell anyone, especially none of the idiots back at school, but if he could see that smile everyday, he'd "consider" being a "slightly less" shitty person.

" Alright...But for now you just rest up. Then when you're back in good condition, you can help me get ready for the sports festival, cause I'm gonna win it all! After all, the number one hero never loses! "

There was the Bakugo she knew, that energetic beam in his red eyes, that confidence laced smirk, and his never ending arrogance that gave him that spark that so many others disliked. But for her, it was just part of his charm.

" You know, being the number one hero requires more than just winning all the time. Ribbit. You need to have people skills too, so maybe you could practice by being nicer to our classmates. Ribbit. " She spoke with a knowing smile, and her index finger placed below her mouth.

" In your dreams! The day I'm nice to those losers is the day I dye my hair red and call myself Kirishima! " He barked out with wide exaggerated eyes and his teeth bared.

Asui just laughed, knowing just how he'd react to what she said. " Ribbit! I know Katsuki, I just thought I'd mess with you a little, you know, get back at you for all the time you spent forgetting about me. "

But much to her surprise, he didn't get flustered, rather he leaned in, wearing an ever so confident smirk. " Speaking of getting back at someone for something, I think I owe you for kissing and running that one time.. "

The sudden closeness was enough to bring a heated pink blush to Asui's froggy cheeks. She honestly wasn't expecting him to try anything like this, especially considering they just recently reunited, but if there was one thing she learned about Katsuki during that summer, it was that he was that he could be uncharacteristically unpredictable when he felt like it.

Time came to halt at that moment, with Bakugo only intending for their lips to lightly brush across one anothers. What happened instead was Asui pulling him close, deepening what was only meant to be a tease. Still, neither seemed to pull from the other, with Bakugo seemingly fumbling through the kiss, and Asui leading him.

When they finally pulled apart, Asui could have sworn she'd have stars in her eyes if she had a mirror, but rather than admit that she enjoyed the kiss right away, she'd have a little fun with the moment.

" You know, Kastu-Chan~ Kissing just isn't one of your strong suits. "

She could practically see the gears turning in his head as he registered her playful little insult. When it finally clicked his over the top enraged expression came back for the briefest moment, just long enough for him to figure her out.

" Oh, so if I'm such a bad kisser. " He grabbed her, and swiftly lowered her, holding her just above the ground in his arms, bringing her blush back. " Then maybe you wouldn't mind we try again, see just how badly I suck at this, sound good tadpole. "

He'd whispered the last part, sending a tingle down Tsuyu's back. She'd have no quarrels letting him "test" things out again, there was a time in their separation that she'd dreamed about an event similar to this, only it was more extravagant than her bedroom, and she hadn't been injured the day prior in the dream.

Alas, she'd have to put it all on hold, as right before their lips could meet a second time, a loud thud caught their attention.

Standing in her bedroom doorway with a spare key, and a phone with a text reading " Be there in a little bit " in her hands, and a backpack at her feet, was a thoroughly shocked Ochaku Uraraka.

Silence filled the room and the three of them remained motionless, waiting for someone to make the first move in this awkward situation. For better, or for worse, that person was Katsuki.

" ...What the hell are you doing here, pink cheeks?! "

This was going to need a little more explaining than what was done back in the infirmary, wasn't it?
